  1. *grumble at pms mailing list shananigans* that car and those photos have been on yahoo.jp for about a month. as have many other "unique japanese cars that our exclusive buyers have located". *end grumble*
  2. apologies to those who have emailed me and not heard anything.... Last night managed to fix the laminator and we're back in business baybee yeah!
  3. http://www.silviawa.com/forums/index.php?s...wtopic=5450&hl= ...... sna.
  4. there is a thread in WA about tinting. crank the search button. the munted bracket by the drivers left knee is where the exhaust silencer used to be. http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/...582_10_full.jpg check around a few workshops who will probably have an abundance of these floating about, or call an exhaust shop and get them to fit an extra muffler to quieten. look, Im trying to be helpful. I'm sorry you had a bit of bad luck, and it's good that you can call on advice from sites like this to get help with your car. that's ultimately what these forums are for...... but do you really have to post a new thread about every step in the saga on every ****ing performance forum in perth? http://www.silviawa.com/forums/index.php?s...?showtopic=5574 anyone who would take a car to the pits with a broken windscreen and expect it to pass - and then blame it on the assessors race when it doesnt - needs a ****ing good slap in the earhole. You're a young fella, whose excited about your car. that's cool, but FFS@!!
  5. yeah, I got mega thin tiler's double sided tape (for holdiong tiles on walls) from bunnings, but it melts in the heat inside the car. grr.
  6. short answer: no. I don't know long answer: my understanding is that the "knock sensor function" of some bolt on electronics or even the plug and play stuff is that the knock sensor is actually pre-existing and that these just take an electrical feed. In the R33s, the nock sensor is used by the computer to retard the timing in the event of detonation. Therefore, my advice would be to check the wiring diagram on the car. It will probably have a knock sensor already. if not, then you need to ask someone who knows what theyre talking about - probably in a thread related to what you're asking about.
  7. ok..... mine might not get THAT permanent..... will keep looking for heat resistant double sided tape methinks...
  8. :deja vu: fane - what tape did you use to stick them down?
  9. knock as in detonation? yes.
  10. :bwahaha: fast loaves from the east.
  11. check out the drain pipe section of your local bunnings?
  12. Russ, if you're referring to the meeting that Rollas organised last year it was with the guys from welshpool pits and not the police. having neons is like having a huge bodykit, T-wing or a giant sticker that says "I bash women" or "cops might fly, but I fly faster" or something equally socially taboo. it might not be illegal, but the laws are structured so that police have the benefit of the doubt. they are not required to know anything about cars - or, really, the law. If they have an incling that something is untoward they can yellow you. so having an attention grabbing car is a double edged sword.
  13. meh. I'd get used to it. at least you're not deluding yourself about your australian car actually being australian. :v8 moite!:
  14. cam, I had exactly the same thing..... it was the fluids. well, moreover the lack thereof. I had a leaking line. pull the lid off the reservior and check the fluid levels - will tell you pretty quickly whther it's the fluids.
  15. oh, and as a choice between the two I am definately in favour of the border. definately.
  16. thanks guys. had an overwhelming response overnight. apologies if my account bounced any mail. have cleared it out now. thanks to yaz, alan, gavin, thoi, and michael. got your forms and will email you today.
  17. I'm a big fan of the do-luck front bar. http://www.takakaira.com/asp/table.asp?id=...RSsOpPpkmLnjqMl
  18. I had this happen on my old car. tried to fix it but just ended up making a massive mess. I took it to a garage and it was a VERY cheap fix. made me feel like a moron, but was good for the wallet - as I no longer spewed a litre of fluid a week.
  19. dude, give licensing a call. we can try and answer these questions based on experience, but if I were you I'd be asking the guys who 'make' or at least inforce the rules.
  20. buy an ice. kids love ice. and dont be such a grumbly khunt.
  21. mine said exhaust, air filter/cleaner and blow off/recirc valve. I beleive anyone can take it over, but it may pay to hear what they have to say - since you're gonna have to fix it. inspite of what the silwa people said, most of the guys at the pits are pretty helpful, and actually get the shits on with every kid getting sent with defects for having green snot in his nose and a factory bodykit.. provided the tint is right, the pod is secured (using a bracket) and the bov isnt too loud, AND everything else on the car is cool, you shouldnt have any problems.
  22. bov could be contentious...... for sure pass take your factory one over. they grumbled about my factory one when I got registered, and gave me a permit for that!??
  23. rofl. It's nasty to laugh, but I can't help it. dude, there's a guy named todd that some of us have used for tinting - I may still have his number. he can rip off the dark stuff and replace it cheap cheap. don't pull it off yourself or you'll lose the demister. do a search on SilWA about the things that s13s commonly get defected for and which pits are most amicable. you might as well get permits now..... the too large reason is a joke though. did you get picked up on anything else? and why do you insist on starting every bloody post with "aye"?!?!!!! F#$CKING AYE!!!
  24. heck, you guys are pretty harsh! And the "if it was one of us" justification is a bit rich. I've never done anything like this, but I've done my fair share of dumb shit. It's easy to say they were destroying property but if you've ever done anything like tow a bin on your towbar...... theyre dumb kids doind dumb things - but it could be worse. they could be doing 200km/h through the suburbs or doing nuts in a crowded area where they could hit something or roll the car. at least they had the sense to go somewhere clear and open.
