  1. Top effort Pete, keep those GT40's honest mate.
  2. Well done Russ and Mark, it will make an awesome race car.
  3. Sounds interesting, I would love to go back to the island for some laps. Awesome track, great scenery, a comfortable drive and a nice Chinese resaurant. I went through about 4 tanks of fuel last year (2 there, 2 return) for travel and plenty on the track. You'll need to take semi slicks with you as it's to far to drive there on them. I removed the passenger seat and got 2 tyres in the front and 2 on the back seat and with tools and stuff, you'll carry plenty of weight, so fuel consumption may be ordinary. Took us about 11 hours to get there in a convoy of zeds, but on return, about 9.
  4. Sounds like grounds for entrapment to me.
  5. I was thinking of Oran Park South circuit as a candidate as lap times would mostly be high 40's to mid 50 seconds.
  6. 3 cheers to Russell and Mark. Would be nice to do a time attack at OP before it closes down.
  7. That steak would want to have been prepared by Reon Kadena or a pack of naked virgins.
  8. Check with UAS, 96209000, they had a shiney, straight black R33 for sale last week, nice tasteful mods and good HP. I was considering buying for my first liner...........but I slapped myself across the face with a dead fish a few times.
  9. It's a post on the worlds largest 300zx forum, TTnet, so no surprise about the content, but what a treasure trove.
  10. He rewelded and built up the cracked area, turned down on a lathe, applied some inner compound to aid sealing and refitted tyre, although he didn't balance but no biggie. Nice job for little money. Both of my rims had inner cracks, so no worries about finish, although he does refurbish completely. Many on the aus300zx forum have used him over the years.
  11. I just picked up 2 of my cracked rims from Magman, $85 each.
  12. Hey Marss, I'm a maybe at this stage.
  13. OK, then I'll be heading up group 5.5, Sydney siders doing Wakefield.
  14. Pity about bidder #7, I hope he has the cash at least.
  15. Seems as though the insurers didn't do much of an investigation, with so much evidence available, it sure does piss you off.
  16. Do you know what the spring rate is, are they Aus or J spec? No they don't fit, only R32 GTR and Z32 300ZX
  17. Yep, it's the Friday the 9th and it's a private practice day, so just turn up with your L2s and cash.
  18. Ok it seems as if the "cons" are well taken care of, so now for the "pros". Cost of living is quite acceptable. There are no telegraph poles, all major electrical systems are underground. Streets are wide and surfaces in very good condition. Cost of a modest 3 bedroom house is under $400K. Getting to and from the surrounding suburbs is quick and simple. Travel time to Sydney is about 30 minutes on the M5, off peak. Getting to the Hills districts is 20 minutes on the M7. Council rates are cheap and the sanitation services are efficient. Demographics are varied, with plenty of self employed businesses. The ratio of good sorts is very high, must be something in the water. No airport traffic. Less polution, council has a policy about retainment of trees. WSID and EC are close via the M7, as to is Wakefield park (well relatively speaking). Et cetera, et cetera.
  19. I'm hoping to go down to Wakefield next Thursday 8th and join in with the Vic SAU crew for some laps clicky That is if my new suspension turns up in time.
  20. Yes they can be adapted to fit, but why would you? Much better to go with GT28r or GT28rs from a S15. Check this link gtr turbo in a zed
  21. John was very proud of his new secret weapon, said it would "shave off a couple of seconds at PI", I didn't realise that he meant to shave the lawn with it. World's most expensive mower?
