I have to clear out some space in the garage after the rebuild. so i have for sale: Clevite 77 sr20 rod bearings brand new STD size 1 & 1/2 sets (you need to buy 2 sets to get enough for a rb so i got 3) $55 RB25det head/intake manifold/injectors/fuel rail/exhuast manifold/Throttle body Getting cleaned and checked now also getting a reco (valve seats cut, milled & crack tested) - $900 Rb25det s2(I think) manual computer -$100 RB25det AFM -$130 Rb25det Block, crank & rods good condition stock bore (with oil pump & crank pullys) -$400 used stock rb25det pistons that look ok (comes with the rings if you like) -$25 each Rb20det head good condition just head & valve gear -$400 Gold Coast/bris buyers would be nice but i dont really mind sending the small stuff E-mail me for pics if your interested. Hi yeah i was under the impression that my turbo was a rb20 one to start with but the only thing that hasn't been replaced is the housings. Here is a pic of the comp wheel. i would like to find out more specs for it so i can get the best kind of housing for my application. Turbo housings cant be all that much new from garret or a supplier can they? I'm pritty sure i'm going to go for a t04e/b housing as you suggested as that seems the normal thing that goes on the front of hiflows. Thanks John

ok now i'm just getting my rebuild finished off and starting to get everything back together. I have a r33 turbo (maybe?) that has been hiflowed to a t3/t4 core of unknown specs. all i can tell you is the comp wheel is around the 70mm mark and the housing looks way too small for it 50mm intake 43 outlet (some stock nissan one with 16v on it). The turbine is 52mm. This turbo was good on my last setup pritty much stock RB25DET with all the bolt-ons (boosted from around 2500-3000 full boost not too longer after that.) But my engine has now had these mods that will change the flow of the engine: -Head ported polished and tweaked in general also i'd like to get 265 or so cams before the engine goes back in. -forged pistons -stainless exhaust manifold -fuel system, intake piping etc I had the idea that a larger compressor housing would free the intake up alittle. maybe a to4e or 3037 housing? also maybe a bigger a/r turbine housing to cope with the new top end the engine will have. I would like some input from people that have played with turbo set-ups. Just keep in mind this is a street/mountin/drift car not drag so i want to keep the powerband in the 3.5-8k rpm range. My Rb25det is out and in pieces on the floor It should be going back together within the month and could take lots of pics if you wanted. I also have a 2nd 25 coming in a few days so i could take some pics of that but it needs to be cleaned up first. -

Ok i've got my 31 in bits at the moment and just getting all the parts together to get the rb25det back together. I'm going to spend about $4k all up on the engine on: -forged pistons (arias, wiseco or je gear) -cams (around the 265 8.7-9mm lift mark) -crank & GTR rods balanced (maybe cryo treated) -new arp rodbolts, gaskets, seals, clevite bearings Although I’m getting all my machining done for next to nothing I’m sure you could do a nice rebuild for 7k if you are willing to do most of the work yourself. But dont take this as 100% correct advice till i get the bloody thing back together and running :headspin: John

Ok i need some help and here looks to be the right place. I bought some Tomei 256 8.5mm cams off this forum.. now when they arived i opened the box to find something looking exactly like the stock cams in my engine. We couldn't measure any differance in lift so I took them to a cam place and they said they are exactly the same as the old one. Now this isn't a huge problem because the seller said he would refund my money even though he was sure he sent me the right cams. So I would like to know for sure before I send them back. Do tomei put any identifing marks on there cams? Do they still have the stock "S6" or "U5" cast in them at the back? anything else that may help etc Thanks John

hmm ok I was looking foward to getting one of these kits as they are much better quality then some of the other cheap ones around. I have no problem with price, quality, etc i just need pistons. :wavey: Well at least i've never come close to doing that again... hope your car doesn't get laid too often you will never be able to drive it anymore pssst slip i was too pissed thinking about my car and the repairs i just paid for and then how much revheads car was going to cost to be scared. Plus people dont really get violent unless you act like a dick (like the guy this time). John

I would really like to get in for a set of these for my rb25det but i need to rip my engine out first to check the condition of my bore's. I hopefully should have that done by the end of next week. While i would like to keep my 9:1 c/r(yes yes i'm a sheep too) the catalog says 8.0-8.4 c/r. it would be ok if it was 8.4-8.5 but i dont really think i would like to drop down to 8:1 as i do not intend to run stupid amounts of boost and i like the way the car used to drive down low. Also is the Sr20 kit (K557M865) the same price or cheaper? I might be able to get a friend in for one aswell. John

Just something to think about (and something that caught me off gaurd today) is that some of the roads up there flood with very heavy rain fall. So if we are going over any roads with little floodways and its been raining all day it could get a bit dodgy for people with cold air induction John
