  1. And if so - what would you suggest as a replacement for the std lines ?
  2. Yeah it could be the lines - good point. My 044 is in the tank. It runs straight of the battery via a relay so voltage isnt an issue.
  3. yeah another fuel pump and should crack 500 easy. Sorry on the print out its full boost at 4100 rpm in 4 th gear.
  4. RB26 cams are a direct fit into the R34 head ( after setting the shims etc ) - I am using HKS 272 / 9.35mm cams in mine. Performance springs make spring and retainer kits for the NEO now also. Also the intake manifold stud pattern on the R33 and R34 are the same as Im using std R33 runners with the CPC plenum - just thought Id mention that.
  5. Dyno results for today were 480rwhp on 18psi - Im pretty happy with that :-) Started to lean out a smidge anything over that so looks like Ill need two 044's now. Full boost with the T04Z is 3600rpm on the dyno. Its pretty angry now.
  6. Yes you can run the rb20 cams as long as you modify the water and oil gallery in the head to suit the rb30 block.
  7. oh how true. power = $ and theres no way around it
  8. Ill let u know on Wednesday - Im taking it easy until its tuned again due to the rooted cat that I had. But its coming on boost around 3000. Also I just found that 26 oil pick up - PM me your address again.
  9. If its a big leak it could definitely be the problem - go Im gathering you still arent making as much power as you were before ? Ill let you know how I get on Wednesday.
  10. you dont stuff around Geoff. I finally got my new cat fitted and finished off the exhaust today. What a difference, it now comes on boost so quickly for a big turbo. Im not going to gas it much until it gets tuned on Wednesday as Id hate to melt this new cat
  11. I also have the 044 intake, via a relay so it gets constant 12-13 volts.
  12. yeah - that gets a little expensive when you get defected and they decide to take a closer look - I did consider it though. Custom Exhaust Specialists in Bris are doing me a 3.5 inch custom cat they have XR6 turbos making 700-750 flywheel horsepower with - its cheaper than the 10k fine :-)
  13. I cut the cat out of my exhaust today - it is completely screwed and deformed internally. If you hold it up to the light you can not see any daylight. In the end I couldnt even get the car to idle there was that much back pressure. It is approx 2500 kms old - I am currently in discussions with regards to a warranty claim so dont want to mention any names as yet. It was not a cheap item though.
  14. great effort. What boost, what rpm ?
  15. I have a fully reconditioned R32 GTR crank, and also a fully reco'd and nitrided R33 GTR crank. Both reground to .25 undersize. Email if interested. Cheers [email protected]
  16. The NEO head is approx 10cc smaller than the R33 ( I cant remember the exact cc's - I should keep all this info somewhere ). The head was also surfaced when reconditioned and ported, so that decreases the comb chamber a little also. I cc'd everything when I built my engine, combustion chamber, piston valve reliefs, etc
  17. Like I said - it was from memory. You could be correct. I think I have a set here, Ill check them and also ring Quantum on Monday to confirm for you ( and me ).
  18. what head gasket are you using ?
  19. assuming your head gasket is 87mm in diameter , and using the other figures you have given. 1.2mm gasket 86.5mm bore 11cc dome 65.5 cc combustion chamber you will get 9.1:0 with the cp 9.0:1 piston Your calculations using the 6cc dome are correct though.
  20. Hi Matt From memory _ I will confirm. The CP's have an 11cc dome on their 9.0:1 pistons. Ill also calculate your comp from the figure you have given and see what we turn out. Cheers
  21. Problem solved. Looks like the cat or middle muffler has collapsed and blocked most of the exhaust. Got it to 1 bar after I dropped the exhaust at the dump pipe flange and went for a blat up the street. Whoo hoo, now to just replace the cat or muffler and back to the dyno. Think Ill have a few beers tonight.
  22. I know the feeling. Yes I did thanks, I did reply but u mustnt have got it. Give me a call on 0402351688 - Id appreciate another set of eyes
  23. me neither :-) I sell two types now for RB30. the original design and a PHAT rod for serious power. PHAT'S are heavier but they have a thicker beam, more steel around the bolt area and across the bottom cap. Ive used both and cant really distinguish any noticable difference in response. Anyway thats my two cents worth
  24. what do eagle and rev's rods weigh ?
  25. fuel pressure is all fine at .7 bar - cant get it over that to find out :-) Im going to block off the wastegate hole in the manifold tomorrow and go for a very cautious drive - at least it will narrow down my troubleshooting.
