  1. WTB: ER33 or ECR33 GTS-4 ( 2 door or 4 door ) turbo or non - turbo. Must be manual and in VGC. email: [email protected]
  2. yeah I agree, the funniest part is there are people on here who think you can make 600rwhp for $5k I wasnt trying to make a point about my power, I was trying to point out that you can actually buy a cat that will flow that sort of power, which I find totally amazing. But maybe ists just me :-)
  3. Pls explain the risks ? Adriano - it meets ADR noise requirements - just :-)
  4. The point is, is that I have a cat which is a legal requirement. The other point is that with other cats around I wouldnt be able to achieve the power it is currently making. Come for a drive, the throttle response is perfect, the mid range is intense. Fuel economy is not worth mentioning - but you wouldnt expect it to be.
  5. If you want to pay the $ - there are cats available that will flow as much as you want to go. I have a CES cat and make 581 rwhp - we dropped the cat on the dyno and picked up 7 extra whp. I have used one of the cheaper cats on the market who claim to be the beex kneez - it melted the internals after 7 power runs.
  6. yes sounds feasible - but are you planning to run the neo lifters as well ? So you will have an under bucket shim and a over buck shims ( sounds like to many shims :-) ) - or are you planning to run a different lifter bucket ?
  7. for your power - just run a set of std RB30 rods and NA RB30 pistons - they will handle it and obviously a direct fit with no issues.
  8. yes that is exactly corret - on the VG30 there are two rods per journal ( being a V6 ). So the width of the journal is just different to the RB30 and that is why the VG30 is different
  9. Youll be pressed to make 800 bhp on pump. Im making 720 bhp with a full 3.5 inch exhaust and dump, screamer is plumbed back into the exhaust, runs a cat and is legal noise.
  10. none will fit your power steering. ATI only make balancers for RB26 - not RB30, RB25 or RB20. So you will need to make some mods to make the power steering / or the air con ( one or the other ) work.
  11. The tips of each valve is built up a little with weld - they are then ground to the determined length. Its cheaper than 24 custom valves. With aftermarket springs there is enough room to run up to 12mm lift with out the springs binding - its just the oil gallery issue that needs to be resolved.
  12. Yes they are a great head. Just install your cams and turn the cam until you have a valve at maximum lift, then check your lifter and see if the oil gallery that runs along the lifters ( inside the head ) is exposed. If so you can not use them as you will never get oil pressure. With my setup anything over 9.8mm lift exposed the oil gallery. Im in the process of building a new head and trying to get around this my using small base cirlce cams and tipping the valves ( extending them ) Cheers
  13. vg30 rods are about 1.5mm to 2mm thinner across the rod ( thickness ) than RB30 rods - so when using VG30 rods you end up with a rod that slides back and fourth on the big end journal.
  14. Yeah I would just double check. It would want to be a pretty thick gasket. Unless they are just mistaken on what piston they are using. Im using RB30 ET pistons with a 4.5cc dish and have 8.5:1 , not a 11 cc dome like rb25 pistons.
  15. Is that r33 rb25 or r33 rb26 pistons they have used ?? If it is either, youll need to run some serious race fuel as your comp is going to be over 10 to 1
  16. you wont be able to run those cams in the NEO head, the lift is too big.
  17. Looking for a 2 or 4 door, manual R33 GTS-4 ( 4wd ) non turbo. Email [email protected]

  21. The RB25 VCT ( GTST ) springs will not fit as the exhaust is a different length to the intake - where as the R32 RB25DE are same length ( same as RB20 and RB26 ).
  22. 560 rwhp - Std Q45 Have just removed the internals of the Q45 and fitted it to a 4 inch intake - aiming for 600 rwhp with this set up
  23. 3.5 thou from memory - will check and confirm
  24. ok no probs - I understand now :-)
  25. Adriano - how are you running 10.2mm lift cams in a NEO head - just curious ?
