  1. Ive got a JUN pump - hits 8000 daily, for the last 18 months.
  2. SPOOL Subaru 83mm Stroker Crank. CA18's will be here May and the RB34's June hopefully :-)
  3. Hi Rob Since no one has asked the question I will. What does one of your RB33 stroker kits cost ? and what does it consist of ? I am just curious as are a few on these forums. Cheers
  4. Your best bet is too get another head. As to straighten a warped aluminium head PROPERLY will cost you more or nearly as much as to buy another. The process involves heating the head to the point where it straightens itself, or levels itself out so to speak. This in itself isnt the expensive part. You will then require to have the camsaft tunnels line bored to make sure they are straight, and more than likely the majority of valve seats replaced ( new ones pressed in ) , as they come loose due to the different expansion rates between the two different materials. If your machinist just plans to surface it - then you consider all your optins first.
  5. Master Power are made in Brasil. They generally make OEM replacement turbos for companies like Garret, mainly for diesel trucks, Catapillar machinary etc. They also make some performance turbos, which are old school technology, bush bearing turbos. They are a reasonably good quality turbo for the money. I bought in a dozen of them a few years ago and they made some good power on various cars. They are equivillent to the old Garret T04e turbos ( in design ). All the bushes, seals etc are interchangable with Garret bush turbos. They are not anything like XS Power turbos. If you contact them direct they are very well priced for the turbo you will get - but they are not a Garrett BB or Turbonetics equivalent
  6. Good EBC'c like the AVCR can keep boost consistent with the duty cycle feature - my engine holds a flat 23 psi now, where as before it would bleed boost back to 20 psi by redline. That is a 60mm HKS External gate with a 23 psi spring
  7. The RB26 is a beefier stroner constructed crank to the rb25, as are the rods. There are no mods required to the rb25 crank to run rb26 rods - and there is no noticable differnce in response when using the OEM 26 rods with a RB25 crank.
  8. I think alot of the variation is due to the dyno used - the one I was using was rated at being about 10-15% lower than the norm. And I know there are many out there that are making figures alot more than others - especially at dyno shoot out days.
  9. Cubes what power is your engine making and at what boost I built an engine for a guy a couple years ago, was running GT30 ( 0.82 housing ) with external gate and at 23psi it made 380 rwhp. Im just curious ?
  10. You passed me on your way , at the Park Ridge over pass. I was in the R34 GTT 4 door going the other way
  11. try rocket industries - I have got several from them previously
  12. Because under square engines dont like to rev as hard due to piston speed, ie longer stroke but its relative to set up where power is made etc. My rb30 stops making power at 7500 and is limited to 8000 rpm. I have a customer making 706 rwhp in BA XR6 - that big 4 litre only turns to 6000 rpm and makes peak power at 5400 rpm :-)
  13. It will be less than the std RB30 crank, as it will now be an under square bore / stroke ratio.
  14. I cant wait either - as I get to trial it :-) Ill keep my T04Z setup on the trial engine. Crank will come std with long oil pump drive. I can special order some titanium rods for it - but they are like 3k a set.
  15. no sorry - they will be CP with a wider ring. Havent got to the CA yet .
  16. (considering there's no social proof to attest to reliability etc) I will be building a test engine with the 1st sample - and I will be leaning on it hard - as in very hard with a 50/50 toluene mix. A Brian Crower 3.4L 2JZ stroker kit ( crank rods and pistons ) in todays market is around $8500, mine will be considerably less. But it still wont be cheap as this is a 4340 billet crank, with 4340 I beam rods and more than likely a custom CP piston to suit. So dont expect anything less than 5k-6k plus.
  17. My stroker crank is getting closer. The drawing is finished .Final measurements are 93mm stroke - this will make 3317cc with a 1mm over bore. I will also make a 95mm stroke 3388 cc( but the block will require a little clearancing ) Custom rods will be needed also, these will be I beams and come in the kit as well as pistons. The first crank should be here early next year. Dont ask on pricing as the Aus dollar is totally influencing things at the moment. RB25/26 cranks are next, also SR20 and CA18
  18. My engine makes 440rwkw and the exhaust meets Qld noise requirements. It is 3.5 inch from turbo all the way back, includes CAt and 2 x 3.5 inch mufflers. Custom Exhaust Specialists here in Bris.
  19. My limiter is set at 8000 rpm, and I hit it regularly :-)
  20. Depends on the power you are after and use. For a good drivable street car with up to 400 - 450 rwhp, I would use the poncams.
  21. You can get an RB20 NEO head - they are solid lifter over bucket shim set up with VCT . If your into RB20's ??
  22. 581 hp at the wheels , MT Semi slicks and going strong. Abuse will kill anything.
