  1. Still for sale. Had some interest but no one has looked at it yet. Genuine offers invited.
  2. On car point for $14300.00 but will talk the sphincter of the universe for a genuine buyer. cheers
  3. l will be there in my Triumph tr8.. the small but loud red beast. Being British however it will probably be the one with electrical problems;-)
  4. I am taking GTRSean's spot. I am making payment to him today. I will be in my Triumph TR8 with no passengers. Last time out in it out Wakefield 2 up and on street tyres I was running a 1.16. I am happy to nominate that time for the day but hopefully will be running a little quicker! cheers
  5. If there are any late drop outs I am happy to take a spot. Bit late I know but the day has now been freed up on my calendar. cheers
  6. Looking for genuine offers if you have cash ready. cheers
  7. Aha my old car. Seems to be have deteriorated a bit since I owned it. Then again I sold it in 2003...wow 7 years on, how time flies.
  8. The prices of 240k coupes are absolutely insane in Japan now. Buy it now prices of over $33k! Makes the old C10's of mid 20's a couple of years ago look like a steal! DR30 prices in Japan seem to have levelled off though.
  9. Finally hunted down my rear wiper and bought it through them. Yeah freight is expensive but at least I will get exactly the part I am looking for.

Not the fastest DR30 in the country but probably one of the best. NO SWAPS, TRADES WITH CASH ADJUSTMENTS etc
  11. The length should be ok but the arm will look a bit too modern for the car. Trying to get it reasonably original! Anyone else have spare one lying around> cheers
  12. It is ultimately a road registered and engineered car so it never will compare to those specialist track only sports cars. It is not caged (no barrier to supersprints) and has full trim etc. My mildy modified STi did quciker lap times but was pretty boring to drive on the track compared to a short wheel based V8 RWD.....I gave up chasing times in favour of a more challenging and rewarding drive.
  13. It is certainly a cracker of a car. All up weight is just under 1000kgs and with around 300 odd horses it does the trick. Like all great british cars it has its foibles but is generally reliable and is a great road registered track car. Interior space is fantastic and there is even enough room in the boot for a weekend away at the track. Here are some photos from its shakedown day at Eastern Creek:
  14. Dennis, when is the DR ready to hit the track? Let me know your first outing and I will bring the TR8. I have a Supersprint mid April at Eastern Creek but always keen to squeeze in another track day. cheers
  15. Thank you kindly. Even if it is scruffy dont worry I will clean it up. cheers
  16. Anyone have a spare r30 coupe wiper arm that they would like to part with? I don't need the motor just the arm. I am in Sydney but if you are happy to post that would be great. Cheers
  17. I have a supra box behind the 5 litre stroker in my TR8. Nice box and tough as nails. On the other hand I had a nice 600 holley on the V8 and I keep looking at the fuel injection stuff I have for the motor and everytime it loses tune I think I must do the conversion. EFI is so much easier to live with.
  18. Sorry my bad, pesky computer took the quote when I was adding a reply! Anyone here is the $5k bidder?
  19. I reckon all the potential buyers of this car are probably on this forum. Problem is we all either dont have the room for it or have a lazy $5 grand sitting around ready to buy.
  20. You have hit the nail on the head. These cars are too old, too nice and too rare as daily drivers. They are not fast enough for a weekend blat or track car. This one especially is valuable due to kms so driving it more than occasionally is out of the question. A good garage is a must and that may mean your other car is on the street. Sure they may appreciate but there is a limit to the value of an old (and not particulary noteworthy Japanese car as this model is). When you factor in the costs of holding it they are never really an investment. I have most recently been offered $15k for my DR30 (post SAU show and shine) but when it is was for sale I found it difficult to get people interested. When the value gets too high most buyers (and I am generalising) have more options like R32 GTR's, a million R33's and some low end R34's. They really have to want an old Skyline and have somewhere to put it with another car to drive every day. Re the PNV one of those was mine (the Sunday driver you refer to) and I sold it for under $7 grand when it was in better condition and 30000 less kms. On this part of the forum we love these old machines but how many of us actually have the space and money to keep them. My 2c! cheers
  21. Thanks guys. Looks like I now have the beginning of a plan!! cheers
  22. I currently have mazda 6 MPS which I love to death. The problem is simply one of space. No wagon version and the fact the seats dont fold down in the MPS really limits its usefulness. I detest SUV's and if I want AWD with pace my options are limited to an Audi or STi Liberty..both big dollars. Loving the Nissan product, I am seriously considering a 2003 Nissan Stagea M35 AR-X FOUR Black 5 Speed Automatic Wagon which I am going to look at tomorrow at Northshore prestige. Couple of questions that maybe you guys can help me out with: 1. Can I get an iPod adapter for the Bose head unit? 2. Am I stuck with the Japanese characters on the pop up screen? 3. Having always owned a manual, how good is the tip tronic style shift in the auto? 4. Suggested upgrades. I am thinking a pruning of the ride height and a nice cat back exhaust first up. Maybe some airbox mods as I love the whoosh I get in the MPS with a inner front guard mounted intake. cheers and thanks for your help.
