  1. The rear seats had faded (yes the straight red trim) and the rear quarter trims needed to be redone. I have the black/red RSX front seats (with power adjustment) now and although they are in good condition they dont perfectly match the door trims etc. I am thinking red/black with a red cloth insert and and either black leather surround or black cloth. The red and black trim design would be the same as the RSX spec but with only difference possibly the leather surround. As for the boot the trim panel behind the rear lights is crap and it is a bit messy generally. I am putting in a small sub and trimming the whole boot to match nicely. I just want the interior to be smick like the exterior. Some people might not be bothered but I am a bit anal about these things.
  2. Once the R30's are in your blood you cant seem to let them go... I have given up the GTR idea, keeping the DR30 and I am now getting a full retrim and redoing inside the boot which was one thing that always let my car down. Still havent given up the idea of also buying back my old Paul Newman to add to the collection as well if Zeb hasnt sold it yet.
  3. Very tempted by the Aussie delivered GTR I have found but I dont really need 3 cars...Anyone interested in the DR30?...now entertaining sensible offers. See for sale thread from first post.
  4. I am a little torn between what to get next. I have done the WRX/STi thing before and agree for a track machine the smaller AWD cars are the way to go. I was dipping into the 1.10's in Dad's completely stock Evo IX at Wakefield. I love the DR and will keep it if I cant find something I want. I love the idea of a collectors car probably more than a track machine as rarity is always something I have striven for. The PNV, the numbered limited edition STi, one of a very few original model S4 Audi's (1995 model) and the DR are all cars I have owned that kept that ambition at bay. I would dearly like an original R32 GTR Australian delivered but everyone is asking big dollars for them at the moment. I am tempted to go back into a 2 door STi but after owning a Nissan, Subies are just so cheaply built. Maybe an Aussie delivered EVO 6 is a good option but finding a low km one for a reasonable price is difficult. The ride is also something which is death defyingly HARSH. My daily drive is a Mazda6 MPS and that thing is the god of torque. I also think it would handle the rare track day with ease. Decisions, decisions. Maybe I should just keep the DR and enjoy it for its rare outings (kids love it) and collect a few more trophies along the way.
  5. Check out some photos of my old PNV: http://rides.webshots.com/album/53744091bOuxmx By the way Dennis, do you know if Zeb sold his (my old) PNV?
  6. To be honest I am not that phased if it sells or not. Took her out today for a run and it is such a blast to drive. People really cant work out what car it is! As musch as I have always wanted a GTR it would be hard to part with,
  7. Anyone who is interested in a beautiful DR30 here is your chance. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Eo...pe-t209228.html She will only go to the right home and the right price

  9. It is very plain looking and I now remove the faceplate. I see your point but the car is now secure.
  10. Thanks for the help guys. The mighty DR30 is now back in my safe hands and is good as new. You can get the parts through Nissan Australia (I got both a fan switch for $170 and the rear window for $500) but obviously it takes a couple of weeks to ship from Japan. I am very impressed at how well Nissan supports parts for imports. My mechanic took care of all the running around. My matching front seat arrived from Slidewize and I got that put in, got the aircon regassed (also replaced the seals as it was set up for the old R12 gas) and put in a new iPod Alpine deck. Looking forward to getting out in summer and doing some cruising with the kids (they love the car).
  11. Thanks for your help Dennis. I am going to get the one from Yahoo (the second one you told me about). Cheers
  12. Car got broken into on Sat night. Took the stereo (not stressed about that) but they smashed the rear drivers side window to get in. I desperately need another window. Anyone got any ideas? cheers
  13. That is my old car (I put the IOF 003 plates on it). Zeb has been trying to sell that machine for nearly 2 years. Unfortunately it looks a little worse than when I sold it. I note a lot of those photos were taken in 2004 when I sold it to him. Still it was rust free and reliable.
  14. I spoke to the owner at the Muscle Car Masters and he said he would sell it for $150k...wonder why it has gone up $20k in a month?
  15. Got mine in the city today. Good article and some good pics. The only disappointment was the Autostyle caption over my DR30 which I didnt quite understand. cheers
  16. I think you will find it was the Muscle Car Masters which was at Eastern Creek on Fathers day. I went and it was a top day. There was a PJ DR30 racing (it is actually for sale for $150k) and the HR31's.
  17. Cool. That means my DR30 would be in it. Pity every newsagent I have been to so far only has issue 84 on the stands. d'oh!
  18. I may be interested if another Zed I am thinking about falls through. Did you end up fixing the problems you had with the car earlier this year including the master brake cylinder. I note a quote from your earlier post: The problem is that it is running very rich. - It needs to be fixed before it can be driven properly – I've had the crank angle sensor and ignitor professional tested by AFI but these are all working properly. I've also swapped the AFM but this didn't fix the problem. - This would suit someone who is mechanically/electrically minded or familiar with RB engines etc. - Problem happened 6 weeks ago out of the blue and I have not driven the car since then. - The car starts but runs so rich that it is very hard to drive. ALSO if the car is left to run for a while, the spark plugs foul (from too much fuel) and need to be cleaned before it will start again. I've had to do this several times. - I don't want to spend any more time or money trying to fix it when I was planning on selling it anyway to go travelling
  19. I average about once a month though I think I will use twice this month! I hear you re launching it...people see hotplates, turbo badge and think this guy is good for a run. It is not until they see me cruising at low speed with my 2 kids in the back that they forget about it and just give you the thumbs up.
  20. I have had the car about a year now and have been tidying up a few little things (mainly interior). The main things I am still trying to finalise are getting a matching pair of front seats, respray the intake/cam cover manifold and retrim the boot. I am not going to do any mechanical mods except change the camber on the rear. The car has done 2000 kms in the last year of which 1000 kms was a trip down south so it is not getting a lot of work. The car generated a lot of interest at the S n S and a few generous offers to buy it were forthcoming. The only reason I would sell it would be to get an Australian delivered R32 GTR but that is unlikely in the near future.
  21. Yeah the old girl did well taking home Best Classic
