  1. I will try and join you at Wakefield when my new toy arrives. It should be fun with 340hp and less than 1000kgs...
  2. Always wondered what they would put out at the wheels...cheers. Car is going on Carpoint this weekend. If you want a usable classic with no faults and show winning condition, here is your opportunity. cheers
  3. In case you havent spied my DR in the For Sale section: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Eo...ed#entry4619641 It is now for sale. After much deliberation I have decided I will get a tarmac rally/track car and the DR is way too nice for this. Would love to keep it as well but cash and space is limited. It will go on Carpoint soon but in the meantime I though I would give my Classic Skyline friends first dibs. $15k firm. Absolutely nothing to spend on the car. cheers Steve
  4. $15k firm. Rego till January 2010. Absolutely nothing to spend. I have my eye on a nice tarmac rally machine which I hope to settle the deal on in a few weeks. cheers
  5. The clock and climate controls are black as opposed to the silver finish. I think this was the case on some of the RS's. My old Paul Newman had the silver finish. cheers
  6. The sub is great. It is a special design from Clarion to fit in shallow depths. Plenty of punch but not doof doof. Clean, crisp and tight bass.
  7. No engine work. Only change is the 3 inch exhaust cat back. It has been recently serviced with all the fluids changed including gear box oil, clutch fluid etc. No idea of output, prob pretty much standard power of around 150kw but in a lightweight DR they are certainly quick enough.
  8. Here is my setup. It is offset to the right. Easier to reach the controls. I also have redone the boot with a shallow mount sub on one side and the amp on the back of the seat.
  9. Juggling a deal on a potential tarmac rally car. Will entertain reasonable offers. cheers
  10. cheers. My girl calls her the mistress! At least she understands my second love...
  11. Aha one of my DR30...cheers! The old girl is 25 this year...makes the R34's mere babies! ;-) Thanks guys for a great day, thoroughly enjoyable both on the cruise and at the show!
  12. I will take the DR30 for a spin. Should be a great day!
  13. Now regoed until Feb 2010 and had all the fluids changed. Aircon was also regassed and suspension tweaked. I am thinking of a change in direction and considering a tarmac rally car. The DR is too nice to do that and so it is still available. Chuck me a reasonable offer and I will consider it. cheers
  14. BTW it was a typo previously. It is $6000.00 for SAU members. It is now on carsales for $6500.00 cheers
  15. Got a good lead on an Aussie delivered GTR from a mate. I need to move fast on that one and will take $16k firm for the DR. She is currently getting all the fluids changed to keep everything fresh. If I miss out on the R32 I will take the DR off the market. cheers
  16. E34 Model BMW 525i in dark blue, auto, air con, leather, alloys, cruise etc. Good points 1. Perfectly reliable 2. Nothing to spend mechanically, even air con is icy cold! Near new tyres. 3. NSW Rego to end April 4. only 119 000 kms 5. No rust and looks immaculate from 20 ft. 6. CD player 7. Silky smooth 2.5L six and auto Bad points 1. Couple of scrapes on the bumpers and one on the passenger front guard. 2. Door trims need to reglued (shrunk over time) With a small amount of money this car would be cosmetically perfect to match the perfect mechanical status. The car drives as well as it came out of the factory. Reason for sale is that we have 3 cars and we walk to the station each day...Love the car but cant justify having 3 cars regoed and insured. Will get some photos on the weekend . Located Northside Sydney. Contact Steve 0414340294. cheers
  17. I was umming and ahhing at the time. The thing is, when I dont drive it I think I want another car. I take it for a spin around the block and I am in love again he he. Looks like I will be keeping it! I have always had a soft spot for 240k's. Dad had a gorgeous blue 4 door and I had a jaffa orange C210 coupe for a little while. I saw a white 240k 4 dppr on Carpoint last week (yes it has sold) that was a one owner 19000 original km car for....wait for it....$4000! Needless to say it was gone before I could get to the phone! cheers
  18. Alfadog sold his 240k GTR replica for $12k. Remember it is still a replica at the end of the day. I was offered $20k for the DR30 18 months ago and I knocked it back. That was after 2 other offers of $15k and $17k at the Skylines show and shine in 2007. It won best classic and people who actually SEE the car are blown away by it. I appreciate that I wont get $20k for it in this market and I dont really care if no one gives me the money I would need for me to part with it. I love the car and would only sell it for something else as rare such as an Aussie delivered GTR. Yeah I am probably a dreamer but I dont have to sell. It is only what the market will pay. Maybe my car is only worth $2 grand. The guy selling the 240k obviously has a price in mind and if it doesnt sell so be it. I must admit I am quite amused by the interest the 240k is getting! cheers
  19. That is 240Z/260Z territory. I would love a 240K coupe as well but for $14k it would need to be an immaculate GTR replica (and a manual!) for that money. cheers
  20. New Year and thinking of another car (terrible New Years afflictions!). If no joy she remains in the garage. Now done 111000 kms (only done 300 kms in the last 4 months!) Swaps as per before but would also consider mint KGC10 or KGC110 GTR replica or mint RB powered 240Z/260Z with appropriate cash adjustments.
  21. That is just like my old C210 coupe except mine was affectionately known as Jaffa...
  22. Having previously owned and tracked a Verision 6 STi and EVO IX I can attest to their capabilities on the track with very little modifications. I agree though after a while it becomes a little ho hum. I also own a DR30 but as it is a minter I dont want to track it. Having driven it in a "spirited" fashion on the road I can tell you they are a real buzz BUT a real handful. The steering in them is imprecise, they are tailhappy and the motor is laggy.....or in other words the FUN bits are there if not ultimately the fast part. I guess it comes down to whether you want to chase times or chase fun. If you chase fun you have the added bonus of having a car no one else will have on the track. BTW my partner loves the DR but the fact she refers to it as the mistress probably is a good indication of how much I love it. I would only swap it for a mint Aussie delivered R32 GTR but that is not going happen in the near future. As for my track aspirations my Mazda6 MPS is now getting some basic mods for a bit of fun. It will not be the fastest car at Wakefield but it will be something a little different to the EVO's, STi's etc ciao
