  1. I know there has been heaps about this stuff...and I did search...from the info I read it seems 18x9 wheels with a +20 offset will fit as long as the car is not to low (mine is standard height). I would like to know if any one is running this size. cheers
  2. glad you got the hang of it..I'm getting pretty good at it now..seems to be my Stags only problem..replaced 3 or 4 so far..mine seems to have some prolem with moisture getting to the plug and coroding it..

  4. From your picture I suspect it looks like the 2 leads with the mini jack ends are coming from the amp ...they are pretty long so I think they may just need to be plugged into the head unit..thanks heaps for the info and the pic.I will check it out today. Regards.
  5. Toay I pulled off the plastic at the side of the rear left seat ( to look for the aerial amp) and could not see an amplifier but I did find 2 leads with mini jack plugs that look like they may be the connections for the aerial to go into the amp..is the amp located behind the top plastic part where the seat belt goes into?..I have had bad radio reception and wan to make sure the amp is connected. Cheers
  6. While I was giving the engine bay a good clean...I thought that I would check the air filter..it is a rewashable foam type...although I had only cleaned it a few months back..I was surprised how filthy it was..there was even some muck on the inner metal filter..I guess the dry dusty Melbourne weather must have contributed...anyhow...I am now thinking that the warning light may have been coming on in regard to this...I am not totally convinced but I wil see if the warning light comes on again.
  7. Sorry to disagree...Petrol=Goods. So should have %10 GSt on it like everything else(should)...as far as I am concerned the Govt is nothing more that a legalised organised crime syndicate..they take whatever they think they can get away with...not what is moraly right...So what is "stamp duty"????...nothing more than a standover bully boy taxe. At least real crims only extort money once... Plan B : Buy a shit box...take the plates off...and use it fill up.. do a runner from the servo..transfer fuel from shitbox to luxury turbo wagon! Plan C: Hijack petrol tanker and leave in the back yard untill empy.(may need to hide it under a tarp so as not to alert passers by)
  8. The idea of boycoting individual petrol companies is a great idea...I came up with it about a year ago ..when the dumb idea of not buying petrol for a day was thunk up by some the sphincter of the universe...It is a viable way for "people power" to work....the thought of mister sevice staiont man sitting all day...not collecting any money...really makes me feel good..spread the word and decide on the first oil company and a start date. ps. I really do want the glory for this one when it goes down.

  10. Hey lets put our army to some proper use...let it take over the oil companies.. and turn them into non profit organisations..I for one am sick of profit being made from stuff that gets taken out of the ground that belongs to everyone..same goes for mining..what the hell has the average aussie got from the mining boom..jack!.. One more thing..the petrol engine is pretty basic technology...you watch the alternitave fuels come out of the woodwork once oil is no longer profitable...dog poo would be my fuel of choice...dam muts seem to shit three times as much mass as I feed them! ps..I forgot...the oil companies tell the army what to do.
  11. " Gets the baby oil... and a picture of auntie Mary in a swim suit".. Gee if I knew I was going to create such a wealth of interest I would have asked the question long ago....
  12. I know a lot has already been posted on this..but I would like to get confirmation. I dont really want to lower my car but I would like to get a bit more dampning ...As I read it..R33 GTR shocks will fit the front and R33 GTST shocks will fit the rear. Has anyone done this? ie retaining the original springs and using good (aftermarket) GTR/GTST shocks. Cheers.
  13. The worst part of it is... remember..people voted to have the GST brought in...and also knew that the fuel tax would NOT just be a %10 GST but would remain at an unbelievable %52 ( or there abouts)....I hardy drive these days...I am lucky I work from home and dont need to....what I cant believe is that others.. those that have to commute or drive for a living...are not talking up arms and maching in the streets.....now the federal govenment has a multi billion dollar surplus ..they seem to have enought money to help invade other countries...buy 20 million dollar planes...and all other manner of crap...but dont seem to have enought to lower fuel tax so normal Australians can stop from going down the tubes...were heading the way of the US...and it will keep on getting worse untill people start to do something about it.. My suggestion: Pick a fuel comapany..lets say..Caltex... boycote them until they lower their price...use our power to FORCE them to lower prices...any sugestions for a start date?
  14. Yeh i guess there are threads about ECU stuff..I did a search and could not find anything about this particular fault. I would still like to know if anyone else has any info about this ocurence. Thanks
  15. This has happened a couple of times in the last few weeks. Both times I have driven somewhere..restarted the car after a while (engine still warm) and have had the engine warning light stay on for 3 or 4 minutes. Every thing seems fine under the hood..just wondering if anyone else has had this happen..and weather the light being on is trying to indicate something..or if it is an intermitent fault of some kind. Cheers.
  16. My S2 has always had pretty poor radio reception...considering the big twin aerials that take up the side windows..maybe mine has the amp power off also...will check it out..thanks for the info....
  17. Thanks for that info....sounds like a job I would not want to do unless I had a couple of spare lights hanging around..but at least now I know...
  18. Althought I like my Dolphin body kit I think the S2 grill in the below picture is rather flash.Has anyone any idea what it is? I also like the painted (white) internal of the headlight..any idea how hard it would be to do this??? thanks guys. Scott
  19. Thanks for all the useful info...looks like I will be sticking with my Shannons policy! Scott
