  1. Ok guys i need some input here I went to Auto barn as i get god prices on stuff there family discount and shit but they have told me to stay clear of full sythin oils in my daily driven skyline. Can you tell me why or if i should. I am using semi sythn penrits oil.
  2. so 800 buckeroonies. Is that them sending you a new redone turbo or is that you sending them your turbo and them doing the work? If its a new one. How muc is it to get one done if you supply the stock rb25 turbo in good condition.
  3. Yeah thanks mate. That is what i thought. The turbo at this stage seems good. Not noisy just has the normal turbo spool sound it screams ad sounds like its loving it. Here is my dyno graph. Also does it matter if it is done in third or forth. I think he did mine in third

  5. Here is my dyno. Dont stress about the A/f ratio not being there it is fine. The car runs fine its just a comparison. As you can see my boost does the same thing. If i adjusted the wastegate to open closer to the desired boost level will this spiking shit stop and the bleeding back. At this stage the actuator is set to what ever a stock one it bout 7psi i think and i have a bleed tap doing the rest. The tuner stated that if i stuffed with the actuater getting it to open thus making less work for the bleed tap the boost will be alot smoother. Any truth behind this
  6. Has anyone else noticed that the boost drops off from 13 to 10? I just got mone retuned with a stock turbo and injectors i have a walbro 255 and a sard fpr also a FMIC and a full exhaust from the turbo back with a microtech lt10's and am having the same issues with boost. Running 12 psi it spikes to 13 then bleeds right back quickly to 10 psi but i still made 203.6rwkw. I would say your power is a little off the pace or mine is high i am not sure. Although my power curve is more agressive then this. Maybe my turbo has been high flowed?
  7. I did a search for rb25 turbo and how much boost can they take but cant find any info. I think the car is running a stock turbo however i have been told by some people that a stock rb25det turbo will not make 203.6rwkw on 12 psi. Is this true or not. Also is there any way of telling as in seriel numbers if the turbo is in fact a stocko. I was told that it had a rb25det Neo turbo on it but i dont know why you would do this as i have also been told that there not any better then the standard rb25 turbo. Any info to help solve this would be good
  8. ^^^ I would agree with that tuner as i have been told the same put the microtech on and hey presto. An Update i got it back today with boost to 12psi bleeding back to 10psi made 203.6rwkw. Stuffing with the wastegate this weekend and wil get it to hold 12psi and hoping for the 210rwkw mark.
  9. My rb25det is meant to have a neo turbo on it. Can anyone give some insight as to boost i can run etc. Not sure and i know a bit bout turbos but nothing on these bad boys. Came already on the car. Well that is what the guy saids on it. Does anyone know the numbers for it so i could check
  10. i had one on my silvia with a rb20 in it. I ran a 13.6 with low boost of only 10psi made around the 170rwkw makr pretty stock. They are great and no lag at all. I had full bost around 2800-3000 pretty close to stock. There cheap and easily accesible and if you wanna high flow later they also give great results.
  11. I am using a manual bleed valve and i dont have spiking issues. My boost does however drop back from 11psi to around 8 in the top end. I will add a EBC when dollars permit but for the cheap mans build i would say i dont have a problem with the bleed taps.

  13. Yeah i would be to considering the car owes him nearly 150k. Mini tubs rims and tiens cost him almost 30k alone all fitted. And it only allows him to run 10'' rubber. Supra can run that stock. All i am saying is to compare a tt ls anything to a rb20 is pointless.
  14. for all the v8 lovers here is Rattler a local car in Darwin built by i think APS he is running close to 520rwkw and runs low 11's Power does not mean you car will be the be all and end all of everything as this car proves.
  15. THis whole post is useless and so is the whole oh if a ls1/2 was fitted to a r32 and the a tt ls1/2 would eat the r32. Not what he is asking is it. He asked if a r32 running 220-230rwkw would beat the stockish commos and the answer is Yes if you can drive it should beat it. Simple as that. If you did not beat a r32 with 400ish rwkw in a tt ls1/2 then there is something wrong with you. There is no excuse for cubes that is a fact unless you get a 2j that is. So maybe drop the whole tt ls1 in a r32 would kill all cos it dont mean shit.
  16. I agree with this. A mate of mine has a VX i think it is. A clubby with over 500rwkw fully worked with a 3.3lt Whipple. He is running low 11's yet another guy up in Darwin runs 11.7 with under 500hp in his gtr. The commo weighs in at a massive 2100kg yet my skyline is about 1400 i think. Not confirmed yet but still the power to weight is crazy
  17. The pink VL is the one i am talking about. That white ss ute he is racing i believe would be a ls1 yeah. Correct me if i am wrong as i dont know much bout them. The ute is a fellow names Brad Stott. He has cams a remap and full exhaust. Look how much he gets slapped by and i pretty sure there both running slicks. The VL is pushing 180rwkw.
  18. My car is now a r32 with a 25det in it. Pretty stock with only 189.7rwkw. I honestly say i keep up if not beat any V8 i have raced up here. I like all cars but i have not been beaten by one yet. The vl ran a MPH 108 and 60ft of 2.1 i believe. That was with slicks and a et of 12.3
  19. That proves to me you cant drive. A mate with one in his VL is running 180rwkw and ran a 12.3 on slicks. runs 12.7 on street tyres dude. He has a clean run and he was the one that cam up to me after and asked what the f**k i was running as he was waiting to slap me. I got a clean run and ran a 13.1 @ 106mph.

  21. My mate has a r32 with a rb20 running some decent mods and hits 212rwkw on an extremely safe tune. He wastes all stocko commodores and Monaros the new R8s everything in stock form. I am running a almost stock rb25 and am pushing around 188rwkw and i beat a 270rwkw worked na VX clubby. Smashed him by bout 1.2 seconds on the strip. From start to finish i left him he could not reel me in. It all comes down to your driving style. Though the shit your saying bout your car it seems with a smaller turbo making 20ish less KW you wont notice the difererence if the tune is right. I would take usable power over top end hp any time.
  22. Hey therre mate. I have just taken the whole assembaly out on my own. Not an easy thing to do but it needed to be done and of course you help others but there always to busy to help you out. Is any case. The motor turns one way but not the other do you know what this problem would be?
  23. Got mine retuned this week. R32 with rb25det series 1. Stock turbo FMIC Sard FPR Walbro 255L Bleed tap boost controller Microtech lt10s Stock injectors Remote wasted spark coil setup Full 3'' exhaust from the turbo back Made 254.8 hp @ 10psi bleeding back to 8psi Still has more tuning to do as we realised that Microtech did not add the tuning program for the VCT so we cant turn it on and off. Will make more usable power when this is fixed next week and my tuner has said we will boost it to 12psi and add some more timing etc. Hoping for around 270hp on 12psi with finer tuning. Will keep you all updated

Some nights are good others are pretty shit. There is a new bunch of kids with there NA r33 a wide body mr2 rodeo ute and a few other cars. They are trouble always doing dumb shit on the roads and posting it on the net. All number plates and vids have been handed to the police. I would suggest staying clear of them.
