sorry but he is not abusing the dyno he is doing a 1/4 mile run on it. People do it all the time i am pretty sure. As if that is not as good. Thing is sick massive flamage and full launch sounds very nice nad of course in safe environment as we would not like to premote illegal street activity on a public forum now would we.

Might be silly but when i got a rb20 put in my silvia. The mechanic did not do up the bolts on the little half circle bracket (possibly the centre bearing not sure its exact name) and sometimes it would hit the bottom of the car on bumps and what not until it fell off at speed and made some real bad slapping noises. Check that. Might help. Other than that do turbo exhausts have flex pipes could be something to do with this if it is solid mounted from engine back.

If your picking it off the car it is the vg30det one that you want not the vg30dett as they are ceremic wheeled. There is markings on the one you want that someone sent me a while ago but i cant remember them now and they are not in my inbox so cant help with that but they are a great turbo i had one on my rb20det. I loved it. Good luck

god dam all that stuff looks great. God work. Now will you be able to make a plenum the same for a rb25det but to fit a r32 engine bay. Does anyone know if the engine bays are the same size. I am not sure even if i order a greddy or plazmaman kit if it will fit in the engine bay. With the plenum from NZ Rob do you have any dyno sheets with before and after or any proof of the results. Would be good to see. Cheers.

i personally would say you might get some good runs out of it with 20psi but i would not personally try hitting 25psi that is a bit high for my liking. Especially without forged internals

i am in the process of looking for a new plenum and intercooler kit. THinkin bout going the full kit from Plazmaman. $2875.00 is alot of cash. Do any of the guys on here have any dyno results of fitting the said plenum to a rb25det. That would be great. Cheers

ok sweet as. There was a guy in QLD doing replacement carbon dashes but i dont know who he was. Any ways thanks for the info. I will give the carbon overlay a crack and post some pics in the future.

This might be a silly question but i take it this is just an overlay yeah so your stock parts are just covered in real looking carbon fibre. This is not how you mould a whole dash is it. If not how would you make a mould for the dash. Got a mate interested in giving this a crack as well he has been thinkin bout giving it a shot for ages. Only reason i ask is the pic you posted it kinda looks like you have peeled the carbon off the stock part as in a mould. If that makes sence

I have just done this to my r32 with a rb25det. I just ran a new wire from the battery straight to a circuit breaker then more wire to the old power wire on the fuel pump plug. Added a relay in there so it comes on with the ignition. Does this sound right. Seems to get 12.8 volts at all times now but not sure if it is a safe way to do it.

tis pretty quiet these days. Not much street racing going on most people seem to be heading to the track but you get the occaisional race along some streets highway mainly. WOuld take you out but nothing comin up and my car aint that flash i pretty quick but nothing to look at.

hey mate can you send me a pick of the underside of the bonnet. Interested but brought one a while ago and it needed the latch put in which could not be done due to the whole thing being fibro. Does it retain the metal structural braces underneath or is it fully fibro. Is it direct bolt on no mods other then paint.

all sorted was getting 8.2 volts to the ffuel pump. Ran a seperate line with a circuit breaker and a relay now getting full 12.6 volts. Car is running sweet again

oh and nothing has been changes the only thing that happened was running it low on fuel I then took the pump out and changes the sock the fuel filter and made sure it was all nice and tight no loose hoses.

Hey mate thanks for the reply. It is the old type is a bog silver one. I am changing it tomorrow to a sard one to see if that helps at all. The computer is stock. Running 8psi made 185.5rwkw. The tuner said that the fuel pump is dropping voltage and at idle the pressure deminishes and then the car idles rough then stalls. Sometime the car wont even idle. Just wants to stall all the time. Ran fime today but my mate borrowed the car and ran it really low on fuel fuel light etc. That is why i changes the filter and the sock on the fuel pump cos i thought it may have unsettled some shit from the tank. But this did not help. Cheers again for you help
