Unfortuantely I don't have many pics.. only two where ya aren't drifting... cause by the time you came on boost, you were over the other side of the corner, and couldn't see much due to all the smoke your tyres pissed out Anyway, love the car... looks awesome Nice work!

TommO replied to Blitz's topic in Events Archive
I was going to come and meet you all, but would prefer to do it in the dry... Hopefully you all had a good, warm, safe night -
Are spectators allowed?

Nah, i'm just generally a bored person, lol. I've got an XBOX, PS2, TV, High end PC, D-SLR camera, and yet I still regularly run out of stuff to do!! I can't stand sitting at home, I get so friggin bored. Doesn't help being single though I guess But anyway, benm, awesome idea lol.. I swear it's the "forced induction performance" section that gets me EVERY time, hahahha

I'll have the cash eventually.. but i'm paying my loan off at $1.5k a month, takes a huge hit out of my pay, especially considering the KMs I do, the tolls I do (M2/Bridge = $11 everyday), I smoke lots, I drink lots, I don't eat at home, etc etc. Plus rent, broadband, mobile phone, CC... you get the idea, lol. But I want mods mods... power is a wonderful thing psybic: Thats whats weird man... I'm all good when I drive the car.. it's when I'm not driving it I dream of having more power.. haha. I think thats why I haven't upgraded the $100 Falken Ziex tyres yet, cause having no traction is made the car great fun in it's current trim, haha.

What have you revved it to? I guess the ECU could be "chipped", and someone removed the rev limiter? But thats a pretty weird thing to do.

forged internal packages for R33 GTST (where?)
TommO replied to lismo's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yep, http://www.nengun.com/ They are the two primary ones used by people over here, and I haven't heard bad stories from customers (apart from some parcels occasionally getting slugged by customs with duty and GST, but it's still cheaper that purchasing over here ) Cheers, Tommo. -
Ok how can I get over this? I drive my skyline daily... to work and back, so about 70km's a day, combined with cruising two days a week, and all in all, a decent number of KMs. I'm all good when i'm driving it, but everytime I get out of the car, I sit at my PC at work and dream about mods... exhaust, suspension, turbo, power, tyres, ECU, having no traction in the first three gears, running 11s... i'm sure you get the idea. I go to the extent of pricing EVERYTHING up, reading 50 billion threads about how my car would react to those mods, etc etc. However... the problem to go with this, is that I can't afford any mods at the moment, haha. How do other skyline others get over the need to mod their car? I am progressively going insane, and the empty $4k credit card is starting to look friendler towards me!!!!

Hmmm - what do you guys all class as reliable though... ? I mean reliable as in run that power for the rest of it's life and not blow up (obviously items to wear out faster...)

Work out what you want to upgrade and hit up a few of the Jap Importing websites.. for pistons etc, it's a much cheaper way of doing things. www.greenline.jp, for example. -
Lowering A R33 Coupe
TommO replied to GtstCoupe's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeah I bought my car with lowered springs (1 inch lower than factory), and it's bouncy as hell. I'm saving to invest in a decent setup though, so it's not worth changing back to factory springs. Cheers, Tommo. -
In case you are all wondering, he's this weird in real life too

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
TommO replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks, Well I just hooked it up... seems to boost slightly louder? Could just be me imagining things! Defintely goes better though.. mid range is increased in my honest opinion. Before I just had a piece of copper pipe in there (to remove the standard actuator so I get over 4.5psi before 4500rpm), and damn, this ones much nicer!! I can't believe I didn't install it earlier. Just to confirm.. what boost comes up on my boost guage is defintely what the car is running? Like my boost guage comes up as 8psi now.. it wouldn't be running more? Just I noticed one of my rubber hoses that hookes up to this boost controller has a slight split in it.. I don't think it's leaking though, as a I just moved it up the plug lots. I'm paranoid about doing damage to my car. Cheers, Tommo. -

Is it normal to have an "exit" hole on the metal control thing (with the ball bearing in it..). I've got two tube plugs, where the bolt goes, and then on the other side there's a hole drilled into it... only about 1mm wide.. so it's tiny. I initially thought this is normal, but now i'm not so sure.. ?? Please confirm. -
Comprehensive insurance - R33 GTS-T Just Cars 60% NCB Loss of license last year due to speeding A few basic mods $20k value $2080 per year. On a side note, I looked around at S14As before Skylines... and one of them would have cost me $3560 per year... hence why I went the skyline
-
That wasn't me, honest Chirp into second is a bit different to doing 224km/hr lol !!

Experience with Falken Ziex ZE326
TommO replied to n15m0's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have them on my GTS-T and they are pretty bad. I've got a stock car (bar cat back), and one a cold night i'll have no traction in first, at all. I've got 235 * 17s. In the wet, if I touch boost in the first three gears, she'll start spinning. I feel these tyres are way too hard of a compound. I'd love to go drag race my car, but I don't think I will on these tyres... i'd run a > 15 second pass due to the wheel spin, haha. Let me know what you end up going... I've been thinking about changing the rears to Yokohamas. -
You won't be copping it up the arse if you are caught doing that kinda speed, just a big fine and a large loss of license. Sorry clearly you guys are all perfect road drivers... At least I am honest enough to admit it. I don't drive like that anymore, but if someone wants to go out there and do 224km/hr on a freeway (M4, M5, F3, etc), well that is their decision.
