  1. I would also strongly not recommend you take your car to Hills...
  2. It all depends on what your budget is... whats your maximum budget for living expenses? Whats expensive to us, might be cheap to you!
  3. Don't organise it via PM - post a thread up with meeting times and locations and go from there. If you need a hand organising it, i'm sure I could help out.
  4. You'll be struggling to find anywhere under $400 a week in that area I'd imagine. $1,600 p/m is a lot of cash.
  5. Yep, i've got Falken Ziex's on my 33 in the wet and it's shocking... doesn't understeer at all, but loves to spin them up at and speed They defintely don't seem to as bad as your tyres though, I can still corner / accelerate OK, I just can't go near boost (note: i've only got a cat back) I would get new tyres but the only way I can have fun is by loosing traction, so I know with a good set of tyres i'd get bored very quickly and the bank balance would go to hell
  6. Yeah i've never had my fuel light come on either but I know the guage was on E... so I always assumed my light was faulty or something...
  7. haha, I had no idea what you look like.. I just saw your car, looks nice. I'm surpised you didn't see my car... We heard you leave I think all the Nissans did that upon leaving (including uready), it's too addictive...
  8. But the differences in pressure drop between a branded and non branded seem to be rather significant? On another note, don't just go for the biggest FMIC you can (ie 600 * 300 * 76), as lag is our enemy.
  9. Certainly was, at KKs and at the super centre car park thingo... :)
  10. I've got a R33 GTS-T with standard suspension (bar lowered springs), and yep i'd say it's a bit boat... feels big and heavy, and sways around pretty badly... if I purchased some sway bars, it would be much better. Either way, I love the car. If a commodore drove like this and cost as little, i'd be driving a commodore Thats why the commodore comments don't bother me. If my car feels big and heavy, I hate to imagine what a commodore is like to drive I suspect a track day will make me realise how good / bad the car handles anyway - very hard to get a true indication of it on the street
  11. Recommend a driver training course, not a good set of rubber. Good set of rubber = higher limits = when those limits are broken, the results are going to be worse.
  12. I spotted Danny at the JDM meet @ Mascot KKs on Wednesday night I was in my silver 33.
  13. You guys sure the tank is 65L? I always get ~400km from my tank of fuel, and the most i've seen the tank take is 53L (when it was RIGHT on Empty). Must have a fair margin of safety if thats the case
  14. 25th of September sounds great to me as well Are the hill climbs on the track itself, or? As half the fun of driving there is being able to drive on the track (sorry if I sound stupid, not familiar with the bathurst hill climbs?)
  15. Happy Birthday from 56 minutes ago
  16. How's it go with the cooler on it? Notice any different? Got lag beeeaatccchhh
  17. This doesn't sound right to me. If they "knew" they always made that sound, why exactly did they pull it apart to check it out? They should have known straight up what that sound was. I don't understand how a different belt type can cause a squeaking anyway, unless it's a different size possibly? But either way, it's just stronger...

    Please...

I agree, I hate the imposters. Although last week I pulled my GTS-T sticker off the back of my R33... but thats cause it looked rough, I have no intention to replace it, I hope this doesn't make people think i'm a ricer... I have the GTR wing too, oops.
  19. Hey mate, it was $260 - not the cheapest I guess (oils - 10% discount, plus one hour labour), but I don't have the tools / energy to know how to do it Damn 1.5 way LSDs are expensive, i'll just deal with not being able to do dumb stuff in first gear for the moment I think Cheers, Tommo.
  20. Benm, I totally agree with all of your comments and ideas for improvement there. Everything you mentioned was something I thought was disappointing too, but I still had a good time (sorry, off your first post I got the idea you didn't enjoy it at all, which is what suprised me ). $35 was way too steep, totally agree there. I think the idea is there, but they need to sit down and re-define the way things are run to make it better. Next time i'll defintely enter my car in simply to do stupid shit around a race track, that seems to be the powercruise theme
  21. I went all yesterday and had a great time. I'm very suprised to read your comments about the event benm, as everyone I spoke to enjoyed it quite a lot Lots of very tough cars and plenty of events to watch. The delay between events was sometimes annoying, but oh well. I went in a few mates cars around the track in the powercruising sections, that was great funs. A mates Civic (STUBBY), a friends gemini, and a orange ford escort Had tons of fun doing burnouts / runs / drifting. Watching cars powerskid for 400m was amazing.. the Autostyle R32 GTR with the T51R SPL did it pretty easily (of course, the commentators were massive bogans, so it didn't even really get a mention) I took a few pictures (not that many): http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/gallery/gal...llery=19&page=1 I agree it's a V8 dominated event, but when most V8s put out over 600HP, it's awesome Cheers, Tommo.
  22. Defintely made it better, if i'm not turning too much in first it'll defintely hook up. But if I come out of a corner in first at 45 degrees to the road, it'll generally spin one wheel until I go into second gear. I haven't tried helis yet.
  23. Adam, i've got a few photos of your car dude, it's just not what I classify as great photos... however, I'll be posting them up tonight, never fear Mark: I've got a ton of photos of your car (> 30, all in a similar style... Big burnouts = great photos! The sun was a total bitch in the morning, so people that mainly ran in the morning won't have as good photos as others unfortunately.
  24. Heres a couple of pics: http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4147.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4186.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4212.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4220.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4239.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4285.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4352.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4289.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4331.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4336.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4362.jpg http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/pics/DSC_4375.jpg
  25. Hey mate, I ended using the relavant redline oils for my diff and gearbox. Gearbox is BEAUTIFUL, makes it very very nice to drive with I'd recommend it to anyone, even if your gearbox feels fine Diff is also much better, but not as noticable as the gearbox. Either way, for a couple of hundred bucks, it's a pretty cool upgrade :) Cheers, Tommo.
