  1. Spotted a Black R34 GTT citybound on the M2 at 07:05am this morning.
  2. Great stuff mate, very good to hear it was a simple fix. I'm suprised the guys dyno'ing it didn't notice That said though, I didn't even think that was a incorrect figure, rather a slightly out dyno... but you've proved me wrong
  3. Works for me, cheers
  4. http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/tommo/pics/dynosheet.jpg There's my dyno sheet for comparison.
  5. Thats what I thought about my 140rwkw figure, but the car felt just as fast as when it was dyno'd at 156.1kw
  6. Yeah with double points it's a road to stay away from
  7. You guys believe dyno figures too much. Example... my stock R33 GTS-T with a cat back exhaust and aftermarket fuel pump was dyno'd within a week at two places. Unique Auto Sports = 156.1rwkw Castle Hill Exhausts = 140.2rwkw Nothing on the car had changed and same batch of fuel.
  8. What's the best way to do it without spilling fuel everywhere? As obviously when the filter is taken off the bottom clamp, and fuel in the lines is going to go everywhere? I've got a spare fuel filter and have been meaning to swap it over for a while but have never gotten around to it.
  9. I've got redline oil in the gearbox and diff and they seem decent, although I haven't tried other oils to compare against (exluding the standard oil) I was always under the impression that the standard diff unit (that actually controls the 1 - 1.5 ability of the diff) in a R33 diff is a sealed unit within the diff, so no matter what oil you use it won't affect it's ability to lock-up or not?
  10. It's got some good photos in it, although the article has a few points which are wrong... I somehow managed to score a full photo of my R33 in the car park in there... sweet
  11. haha, I agree with that mate We are pretty much regulars on a Saturday night Chill at high st maccas and wait for a commodore cruise to go past, and go crash there party It's awesome fun and a great road for it.
  12. great western highway
  13. Tommyk I came over and stood next to your car for a few minutes to say hi (your car was in the staging lanes) but you weren't around and I had no idea what you looked like saw the sticker on your back window anyway and figured it was you.
  14. Not sure on that one mate, i'm simply going off there recommendations Either way the muffler is great very ver hot due to the dead cat
  15. Replaced fuel filter and put it on the dyno last night Everything checks out OK, AFR's are all normal and timing is fine. So it looks like it's simply a dead cat... getting a new 3inch cat and dump pipe put in today to rectify this
  16. My S2 aerial defintely goes all the way down... sorry I must have mis-understood your problem Does it go all the way down when the car is off ? I'm guessing no ?
  17. Once a week, normally friday nights as it's a good relaxing thing to do for the beginning of a weekend Although if a car event is on, i'll wash it before that too
  18. It's a GTS-T, it's got an RB20.. and yeah, absolutely awesome car, was driving very very hard and nicely until that wall, so depressing to see Hopefully he comes back better than ever
  19. I'd say we are talking about different cars Beer Baron haha you got like 40 photos of your car this morning doing burnouts, aren't you happy with them?
  20. The R32 with a CF bonnet, RB20 and 600hp turbo, screamer pipe etc Is this the one ?
  21. Agreed, It's also freshly imported, so he's trying to make cash. Another thing to check... there's normally a reason why Japs respray cars.... make sure you check for accident damage / rust very very very carefully.
  22. the pics are great guys, good stuff.
  23. I reckon $2k a year is about on par with what everone in sydney and within the range for that car.
  24. Interesting point on the exhaust, I could defintely here a few weird noises from it over the last two months and then it stopped a couple of weeks back. I might take it to an exhaust shop and get them to chuck it on the hoist. I've got a Walbro 500HP fuel pump which has a 12V connection, so unless thats having problems I don't imagine it will be that. Cheers again for all your help and ideas, Tommo.
  25. Often insurance companies decide that both parties pay their own costs (covered by your insurance company) in situations like this, when it's very hard to determine who is at fault.
