  1. I would love to see some figures of how many engines WERE and WEREN'T damaged when the turbo lets go. Very scary really...
  2. r33zilla I hope you bought yourself a case of beer for your efforts
  3. It's more a matter of keeping the heat as low as possible. The figure most people use is 13psi, but if you go on track days it might blow up at 11psi due to the heat, simply too hard to predict. With a FMIC, most people run 12psi without any problems.
  4. Not to mention that the turbo would be working harder to push that much air through the stock cooler (as I've been told they are pretty restrictive) Personally, I'd recommend no more than 10psi. Who knows, if your turbo blows, you could end up with nasty bits in your engine, not really worth it....
  5. Silver R33 S2 with 5 spoke white wheels (like ozracing wheels) in Norwest BP at 10pm tonight.
  6. I personally run ~9.5psi with full exhaust and it's fine. With summer coming, I wouldn't want to run anymore through the standard cooler personally. You're risking too much money for a couple of extra KW
  7. Tell me about it, luckily i'm sitting at work from 7am to 7pm, so I can't get any distractions from friends etc. That involves sitting in front of my TV at work watching Bathurst and then the F1.. not a bad way to make $500. It's been a great day of motorsport already and it's only 10:20am
  8. Let us know where you end up deciding to go and I might meet up and take some photos of your car, if you'd like
  9. As you head over the bridge southbound, you take the first left turn, and a few more turns, and you can in between the two bridges under them... you can put the car on the boat ramp and it looks really nice, as the lights from the bridges reflect off the water etc etc so it's pretty cool I don't mind Homebush but I agree i've been shooting there for years and it's got very repetitive (however on paid shoots i've had a lot of people request to get their photos done at homebush, so although i'm sick of it i'll do whatever is required ) As far as i'm concerned the best spot of my car was still taken there (see avatar) I think pretty much any spot can make a car look nice - for skylines I defintely prefer night shots as it makes them look a little more evil, although night shots normally take a little more time and practise from a photographer.
  10. The above photo was taken at a tunnel in Homebush
  11. Aftermarket blow off valve? Did you change anything when it started stalling? If you start it whilst stopped, does it idle fine?
  12. I think I found the main cause of the idle problem today actually. Was out playing around with tools and acting like I know what I was doing!! Anyway the gasket between the AAC valve or whatever and the manifold (where there's the two bolts from the valve into the manifold, there's a gasket there)... the gasket looked pretty dodgy, so got out the socket set and tighened it up so it was a better seal... and I did 100km's today and it seems to idle much better. Not sure if this was the pure cause of the problems, but combined with replacing exhaust and cat, and doing that, the car seems perfect now.... I'm getting my injectors cleaned next week as well (good mainteance) and getting a heavy duty clutch whilst i'm there, so i'll get them to have a check over everything too. I'll get them to put a new gasket in there as well to prevent any furthur issues. Damn it's nice having a car that idle's smooth again... Thanks for all your help and ideas - without it, I would have just sent the car straight to the mechanic, but I enjoy playing around and learning.
  13. Tom Uglys Bridge... Homebush is also a good one. Any underground park thats well lit always looks good too (esp at night) Rolling shots are always the best
  14. Idle Adjuster? As in the screw near the back (firewall) side of the manifold?

  16. Everyone point and laugh at wrxkilla for not pulling his exhaust off earlier, and driving around at half the cars potential    Good to hear you got it sorted. lol
  17. FMIC and ECU w/ boost controller.
  18. Sounds very very similar to the problem i'm having, i'll be interested to see what your problem ends up being. Does your muffler etc get very hot ?
  19. You'll find our group of mates meeting there most Saturday nights at 8:30pm
  20. I see SKY33R white 33 GTS-T on Victoria Road all the time... owner never looks over though!!
  21. Just a question i've been thinking of for a few days after my Walbro 500HP fuel pump got noticably louder for no reason over the last few days Whats the "life span" of a performance fuel pump? Do they not last as long due to the fact they are working harder? I've got a Walbro with constant 12V in my R33 and I do 30,000kms a year.. just wondering if there's an expiry date for them, as such? Running lean = scary Cheers, Tommo.
  22. Yep it's still for sale
  23. If they are still available, please send me a PM with a price installed for the box and air filter into a R33 GTS-T. Thanks.
  24. Good stuff, i've been following your upgrade path posts for a while now in this area. Will look forward to hearing how it goes after the tune I'm jealous!
  25. Yeah mine runs 10:1 up top.. http://www.gunnamotorsport.com/tommo/pics/dynosheet.jpg Economy is about 400kms a tank in my R33 GTS-T
