Are you 100% that he didn't mean the 0 - 100km/hr sprint was only doing using the first two gears? ie first and second only. Because I'd be suprised if starting in 2nd is beneficial, and more importantly you'd want a decent clutch to hold up to redline 2nd gear launches. Let alone the res of the drive train... Although you sound rather confident in what he said, and if you're correct, then that's pretty cool

I have already told you before, that red cable is where the Autobahn idiots have decided to tap into your boost lines for your boost guage you got fitted Have you removed the standard solenoid out of the loop yet??? I can't watch that movie. Here's a test, disconnect that red tube and go see if you're boost guage still works..

Where abouts can I order a Pipercross filter from? Preferably online I think I just have the stock filter. The air filter is PINK, is that the standard one on a R33? cheers, Tommo.

Have the fuel pressure tested I found my RB25DET to be running lean and it was due to a dying fuel pump... Replaced it with a Walbro one and it was great after.

I spotted three R33s in the Woy Woy area around 11am this morning. One of them waved at least

With the new STi, they have turned down the boost to compensate for the extra capacity. scathing, I agree totally. Nothing frustrates me more than people that pull up next to a modified car they have just seen boot it, and say "hey what boost you running". Ask what turbo someone us running before what boost they are running !!

It's Darlington Park, QLD... and yeah, it's a Corolla. I feel sorry for the guy, he's taken it to the track to try and learn more, and obviously has made a mistake and then panicked. It's very easy for easy to see exactly what he did wrong from the comfort of our computer chairs (or couches if you've got wireless ), but in the moment, i'm sure some of us when learning to drive could have made the same mistakes, especially if we panicked. Kinda a hard question to answer. You can just make sure your tyres are in good coniditon, and all your fluids have been changed recently. Drags aren't really THAT hard on a stockish car (compared to track work), so normally you shouldn't have to do much at all. Depending on what kinda car you drive, of course
