Do you have any photos of the interior? What power has it made on the dyno? Any known problems? Thanks, Tommo. -

When are you planning on getting it tuned? Who will be doing the tuning? Any outstanding issues with the car? Does the build date on the build plate say 95 or 96? Do you have the stock steering wheel? Thanks, Tommo -
Yeah i'll give it a go as well.... should be good fun

A quick question for you guys.. I've done a search but couldn't find much information. A R33 i'm looking at that's for sale has a half buggered motor (has been running stock bottom end, 280rwkw via a 2835ProS for a couple of years). For a price, he's offered to purchase a Proengine 3L bottom end (~$5.9k), and get UAS to fit the motor (~$3k). It would be very responsive with that turbo, I reckon it would be a lot of fun to drive.. although that turbo would max out at ~300rwkw I so, but that's still OK by me. I want a quick street car and nothing more. ANYWAY.. what's the reliability on this setup going to be like? I know with the factory bottom end, they are normally great.. is getting work like this done and the end power figure going to turn a car into something I always have to fix / repair?? Or are they pretty reliable? I realise the driveline is pretty tough. I need a car that can do 20,000kms a year, take a hammering once in a while, and be reliable. Am I dreaming? For some reason I naturally think cars with rebuilt motors are rarely as reliable.

All, Looking for a R33 Series 2 * Clean example (any colour) * Nice mods with around 240rwkw - 260rwkw, must be a responsive turbo, so high flow, 2835ProS, 2871 etc, I'd prefer to stay with from the GT30 series of turbos as this will be a street car. I'd prefer coilovers etc as well, but that's not a requirement. * No more than 120,000kms * No chrome rims with ugly bodykits etc I've just sold my Evo and am ready to purchase. Please let me know if you have something that suits these requirements It has to be in NSW so I don't want to go through the pain of getting it all approved by the RTA etc with the mods. I'm willing to spend around the $20k mark. Please contact me by replying here, PM'ing me, or at michaelthomas AT exemail.com.au Thanks, Tommo

Best Turbo For R34 Without Opening The Engine
TommO replied to illusiVe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Kinda off topic I know, but what was your MPH with those runs? Just wondering, as I'd expect 265rwkw to be around the 115mph mark? -
Best Turbo For R34 Without Opening The Engine

Hey gtst25, Perhaps it's a restriction somewhere that's causing that boost drop? I mean, I know they are prone to it, but didn't think they were that bad. For example, check out the dyno sheet (and boost) of this R33 GTS-T with stock motor and 2835ProS: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=164602 Ps. Fark, that's a pretty average tune from the looks of things!! -
Sold - got exactly what I was asking for it too

Hi all, Selling as I'm looking at investing in other things. A bit of history. This car was purchased from the auctions in Japan by a close friend of mine in Jan, 2006. It was complied in August, 2006, and has been registered and owned by me ever since. It was a grade 5 when purchased, and had a few factory options fitted (BBS Rims, Ralliart cluster guages etc). I've done a few basic modifications since owning it. When it was first registered, I replaced all fluids in the car, and servicing has been done every 5000kms since. All modifications have been professionally fitted, and I have receipts for everything. 2004 Evo VIII MR Gunmetal Grey BBS rims 28,000kms Plates are EV.08.MR (included) Quad immobiliser security system installed Modifications: Engine: Ralliart Panel Filter Ralliart Cluster Guages Profec B Boost Controller Blitz Turbo Timer HKS cat back exhaust Exterior: Ralliart engine cover / vent Brakes: Ferodo DS2500 pads BFG braided lines (ADR approved) So as you can see, just basic mods, as I like having my cars as reliable as possible. I've taken this car on quite a few cruises and i'm sure numerous people can say how clean and spotless it is. I've also just fitted the pads and tyres (3000kms ago) All inspections are welcome. Price: $43,000. Contact details: Michael Thomas [email protected] 0400 806 218 Some photos (older ones): Let me know if you'd like more of anything !!!

Wow, lets guess some more shall we! Stop reporting off media stories. Anyway, Lets hope they weren't street racing, the owner of that WRX states it wasn't his fault and posts a description up of what happened on REXNET (where he's a regular member that attends cruises etc). http://www.rexnet.com.au/forum/index.php?showtopic=60098 Who knows what the truth is really.

I was listing all of my mods. The changes from last time was just the EBC.

12.6 @ 108mph Evo VIII MR Improved by 0.5 seconds over my last time... mods are cat back exhaust, boost controller and panel filter inside the standard airbox.

Congrats to the NZ team, it's been one of the longest standing drag records ever and it's awesome to finally see it broken It did have those issues last week when it was running the 7.7s... I'd say they've cleaned it up to hit 7.59, that's an AWESOME time. HKS car won't come out of retirement, i'll put bets on that.

Here she is... need to go and get some proper photos soon

Michael Whelans car was a silver R32 GTR, not this one. This one is still a weapon, i've been for a ride in it and it's extremely impressive. Good luck with the sale, for that price i'm sure you'll find someone to buy it, it's a lot of car for that kinda $$ ! Cheers, Tommo.

had some fun with a R32 on the M2 tonight (about 7:40pm)

Ok can I get added under "other" Evo VIII MR Cat back exhaust, otherwise stock 13.1 @ 104mph
-
John, I might come take photos again (if you're lucky), will see how I go. Evo loves to suck juice and i'm trying to save for a holiday!!

Jesus, I saw out there running and didn't realise it was you... I heard all the stories though, great to hear you're fine (there were rumours you'd copped some in your hand but obviously not!) Anyway, it was a good night.. (apart from your situation benm), how did everyone else go? I managed to get a 13.1 from my Evo, stock apart from a cat back exhaust. Lots of pics online here: http://www.badgerphotography.com.au/090806/index.htm I was in my new car:
