  1. I noticed a HUGE difference after fitting a split dump pipe and hiflow cat. Car came on boost a low earlier, was much nicer to drive down low and off boost, and top end was significantly improved too. Easily the best mod you can do, and you won't look back! I got the split dump pipe from CES Racing as well
  2. Ok i've got the night off so i'll be down at the gates at 5pm Assuming the weather doesn't interfere with things that is! My car is as per the sig (Silver R33 with White Wheels)
  3. I'll see if I can get the day off work and let you know.
  4. I'd also defintely be keen !!!!!! Please (if you don't mind) PM me once they are available, and i'll DD the cash into your account. Just in case I forget to check back on this thread!! Even at $40 it's a bargain and you can make a few $$$ as well... (hoping to encourage you to burn copies ) Anyway... here's a short clip I found online (3.1mb)
  5. 13.5mb (for those wondering) Good video
  6. If you want response, just stay with the standard turbo and get a good exhaust system. I have full boost at 2300rpm, and have boost from 1200rpm onwards. It's great to drive like that, but I'd prefer to have something that spooled at double the revs but pushes out twice the power!
  7. R33 GTS-T, Lancer GSR... both making fairly big power, but both drive great off boost and are smooth. I agree with your thoughts on the Microwreck but if it produces good results, then I anything can I understand about the "too much fuel" comment, but is the only thing that would affect is fuel economy? Would it affect driving too? Just these guys have got their AFRs where they want them. Just trying to work out exactly what the effects of going too big injectors for your application is, as i've always wondered this myself.
  8. Thanks for the pics - that yellow R34 looks awesome (apart from the buggered side skirts) Cheers again! Tommo
  9. Care to elaborate why and how it will affect the driving of the car? I've got a couple of mates running 1000cc injectors, who are currently not running anywhere near the potential of them (low boost tune - so honestly only using about 550cc worth of injector), and the cars all drive very nicely, perform well off / on boost, and don't seem to have ANY injector based problems. Both have Microtechs.
  10. I found some Japanese hour plans in my car! Guess what he was selling his car for lol
  11. Is it an OK idea to do a trackday on crappy tyres, if i'm strictly not looking for times? (Falken Ziex A326s) I was planning on holding off until I get swaybars and decent tyres (I've always upgraded the pads and clutch in preperation), but after reading this thread, I think i'll try a day with my current tyres.. won't have much traction but I guess it will be a lot of fun powering out of corners!! I just wanna have some fun
  12. RB25DET for sure Stronger pistons, better head, etc etc However, getting a 3L and putting a RB25 head on it... now that's a different story But not really required for 180rwkw. A standard RB25 will make 250rwkw reliabiliy if all support mods are setup correctly.
  13. I've taken the weekend off work to go to this event. I'm suprised at how much a General Access pass is considering how new the event is, it's AU $95.00... it's AU $150.00 for a grandstand pass.
  14. I saw a R32 at Krispy Kremes in the Domestic Terminal Area about 12:55am
  15. Happy Birthday
  16. I had a mate go today, in his Camaro... did you guys see it? Anyway hopefully it was a good day, I heard that an Evo8 rolled it?
  17. A few points from me firstly. Doesn't the type of road affect boost points? ie a flat road is best? Does time also affect this? ie colder = earlier boost... anyway: 7pm flat road R33 GTST manual Turbo - standard Details - 3 inch turbo back exhaust (CES split dump pipe, 7L high flow cat, turboSX cat back, twin pipe muffler) Boost starts - 1000rpm Fullboost – 8psi @ 2400rpm (note: this goes up to 9psi above 3000rpm) Boost solenoid: not running the standard one, i've got one of those $22 mechanical boost controllers
  18. I got my exhaust through Castle Hill Exhaust and personally found them great to deal with and a good bunch of guys (two of the guys drive 8-9 second rotors, so they really understand performance cars)
  19. After this comment, I don't think Moanie will be waving at you anymore
  20. Split dump pipe is worth it.

    Evo 9

I had a test drive in an Evo 9 last night... awesome car
  22. Approx 0.1 bar = 1.4 to 1.5 psi
  23. I get 400kms to ~46 litres, on average. That's some city driving, some freeway driving, and a fair bit of time spent on boost
  24. black R33 on abbott road turning right onto old windsor silver 33 GTR on old windsor road heading towards kellyville both at about 11pm tonight.
