  1. i wouldnt reccomend it, but u could make it fit. ud need a lot of guard work though. probably wouldnt be worth the hassle.
  2. can u give us specs and brand names of the different setups? also when it comes to drift, i think a lot of people find it "better" to drift on worse setups as they offer less grip and make it easier to drift. but in reality grip is a massive part of competitive drift, if u dont have it u wont go far.
  3. got these checked out at a wheel repairer on friday and they had a quick suss and found its just the valve stem seal like i thought. so ill replace that soon and she wont leak air any more.
  4. lol, what other setups have u tried in ur R33?
  5. lol, 4k, f**k me. http://hardtuned.net/forums/index.php?show...els%20-%20tyres get looking, 4k will buy u A LOT
  6. also possibly FJ's?
  7. yeh or u could just go all out and grab some meister S1 or professor SP1's, wont be cheap though. btw the ones above are 17x9 +24, theres quite a few around in that size/offset in Japan (even though they are an italian wheel) for the R32 GTR's, although there are quite a few 17x10's as well, but a lot of them are for porsches and use a different stud pattern.
  8. yeh G7's are nice, also OZ racing make a similar wheel, im currently running them on a R32. the spoke is more square though.
  9. cheers mate, yeh definately a tough wheel.
  10. getting another 2nd hand one will mean a lot of screwing around finding one, then driving to get it etc if i buy new then ill probably pay upwards of $60. as i said before i hate paying $$ that i dont need to.
  11. depends what style ur going after, there are a lot of GTR's running old school style wheels with small diametre/large width wheels with stretched tyres. similar styling to a lot of the rolla boys. can look good on the GTR's but i can imagine it wont sit well with 98% of people on this site. after all, the original GTR was one of the pioneer's of this style
  12. 16x10.5 +10 would look nuts with some stretched tyres (around 245/50). or a 16x10 +20 if ur not feeling as adventurous,
  13. i should be able to pick one up for $20-30 2nd hand, but i dont spend $$ unless i need to. i think ill try getting BB and spring for a few $$ first.
  14. haha interesting, always thought it worked differently. so yeh guess the spring would have had to of come out for the BB to have. mm reckon ill take the thing out and go round to a few places and match the parts. cbf sourcing out a new controller as i need it by next sat.
  15. thanks mate, that's what i thought i was, going by a bloke in that thread it was around 7mm in diametre so ill try and grab a BB and see how it goes. is that all, any other components that could have come out?
  16. ok probably been said, but i've been through this saga recently so thought id give my experience. i was denied for having a lock bar at regency, was told it was a safety issue being that they couldnt know whether the bar was strong enough and safe enough to take the force etc etc. so talked to a sus engineer and he mentioned that they need to x-ray the welds and do a driving test etc etc which all adds up. what i ended up doing was putting my standard system back in and locking it with washers. my lines had been looped so i couldnt connect the lines back up, but from a safety stance we knew the hicas unit was now the same strength as stock, the only difference was the HICAS wasnt going to work. now i wasnt sure whether this would be an issue with regency, but i took the chance as i knew other skyline models didnt even come out with HICAS, so it is clearly safe. but yeh, went through regency and they didnt have an issue with it, the guy i had though wasnt very thorough and he's pretty chilled so im not sure if i go through again whether i will pass or not.
  17. hey mate, post should be about $60ish without tyres, probably about $130-150ish with tyres. as far as buckles i cannot see any bends, ive had these on, unbalanced at over 150k's on track and didnt notice any vibrations out of the usual, so im pretty sure they are as straight as an arrow. ill send u a PM with my number.
  18. lol at rebuilds and serious issues. if it's serious u will see a lot of light bluey grey smoke, if it's black u can be almost guarenteed its a little stupid niggling issue any decent shop will pick up on within a few hours if that.
  19. i think we'd all like someone to fix A.I.R.
  20. did u check the lines off the plennum? they are after the TB so the test wont reach the plennum if that's where the issue is.
  21. cheers mate, yeh definately look tough, give a real old school look, they made me look into a whole new way of styling for my 32, ive been keeping them for when i buy an R31 as i reckon they'd look mint on one, but looks like that is a fair way off. ive been using these wheels for ages and have a real soft spot for them, unfortunately im out of $$ and need to get rid of some of my stuff
