  1. yeh it was a hub problem, he was destroying up until then. even though it was rediculously fast, it was having a few issues for the first season and was forced to retire a few times, was a pretty big ask to bring a brand new car, nothing like they have ever seen, then make it a competitive car in an established series in a foreign country.
  2. ud be better off just buying some bilsteins and keeping the standard springs, they will allow u to adjust height, not compromise ride comfort too much and improve handling.
  3. looks tough as nails, still kinda hard to beleive that size tucks in that easy
  4. For Sale: Lock bar for R32's and S13's, bolts straight onto ur subframe in place of ur hicas unit. no real need for description or pics as its the same as every other one around. looking for $70 located in SA but will post anywhere in Aus.
  5. wow, u sure that's all they needed? u got any pics as i find that very hard to beleive.
  6. well tbh, i dont see much point in being arrogant at driving a GTR over a GTS-t, my respect for a person as a "driver" doesnt stem from what they are driving, more so how they drive it. although in a lot of cases its a case of simply not being able to afford the more expensive GTR, a lot of the time its also a case of simply prefering a GTS-t over a GTR, whether that be a newer GTS-t or GT-t over a older GTR, or simply the GTR doesnt do what they are looking for in their car like the GTS-t does.
  7. standard is 205/55 R16 all round. check ur tyre placard tho.
  8. mm, hard one, id say the fronts should just fit with the 225 tyres, the rears are interesting, usually anything that width/offset id say no as it would foul on the tie rod end, but with the 19" diametre i think it should clear that, but im not sure what the next clearance issue is at the rear as that is f**k all inner clearance. as far as guard clearance goes u will need to roll ur guards, but u shouldnt need a flare.
  9. the lower u adjust ur coilovers, the bigger the gap between the top of the coil and seat becomes at full droop, so the lower u go the more the need for helper springs really. and since ur looking at going really low id say ud want the helper there moreso
  10. yeh ive still got to save a bit for the RB30 so dont want it to blow just yet.
  11. i would if u paid for the postage.
  12. 4x Bridgestone Potenza RE050A - 245/45 R18 - 60-90% tread - $200 for the set RE050A's are one of the best summer performance tyres by bridgestone, click here for reviews: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...=Potenza+RE050A located in SA, bit south of Adelaide.
  13. with the guards rolled ull be fine.
  14. we need tyre size, its one of the most important parts of tyre fitment. u will most likely need at least a roll, maybe a flare depending on how wide u go with tyres, camber and suspension.
  15. haha yeh they came out pretty well considering it was our first time panel beating haha.
  16. lol no. +37 will leave u no inner clearance, u will probably need to go at least as low as +20 to give u a decent amount of inner clearance at the front. at the rear u can get away with less inner clearance, but u also have more guard clearance.
  17. +1, might want to confirm that, that offset wont fit on anything without probably at least 50mm guards on a GTR.
  18. going by the carsales watermark in the image my guess is he bought the car with them.
  19. cheers mate, yeh thought id chuck it all in sequence, a lot of it is covered in my thread on ns but its all over the place spaced out in 8 pages. still a lot more for this car to go, just waiting for the RB20 to blow haha

  21. with the addition of a few things like Sparco Rev fixed bucket seat and dished steering wheel, more track work: Recent grip practice at Mallala, ended up getting into the high 1:27's. More skids:
  22. Then came the make over, the plan was to bog up the body, get rid of any dents, flare the guards, fold the bonnet lip to make it GTR style and respray it the original gunmetal grey. Front lip folded back in (GTR style) Front Flare: Rear Flare: Freshly painted: Together, dusty, and ready for regency: Once it passed it was time to make her look real purty, my new suspension arrive (eibach springs with coilover kit), also put some ISC caster rods as the adj bushes werent cutting it. Also had some new wheels come, OZ racing, 17x9 +24. rears with some 25mm spacers (17x9 -1):
  23. the fibreglass front bar didnt last long, first it copped a nice serving on the apex of corner 9 at mallala, then took a ditch, was unrepairable so just went back to the plastic bar seen in the pic up the page a bit, i had this for quite a while. also, on went some Volk GT-P's, 17x9 +16 then put the thing into a guard rail, thing just snapped understeer on me in the wet, nothing i could do but keep off the brakes and feather the steering, was taking it fairly easy, mainly just a setup issue + bad conditions + shocking corner, had some run flat full summer tyres stretched, not really good for wet lol. this one cost me about the same, bought parts for a few hundred, stripped myself, sent it off to MC Doyle again, $500 or so for the repair. had a praccy the next weekend so this was the result: u should have seen the engineering behind it to get the car like this so it A. didnt get defected on the drive there B. didnt fall apart on the drive there, 110k's, no support for the guard or front bar at the LH front C. didnt look bad enough not to make it on the track what u see here is the car in my first post except with a hammered out bonnet, a ghetto spare guard i have held on with custom mounts (since the rad support and skirting were no longer there) and a lot of f**king praying  more skids: New front bar (genuine GTR) and new wheels, Autostrada Modenas - 17x8.5 +45 (w/ 25mm spacers) & 17x9.5 +38 also R33 GTR rims powdercoated white, these were my 2nd pair of GTR rims but dont have any pics of the first pair: getting a bit rough, note the defect sticker on the window in the last pic, off to regency again.
