  1. mm, seems when putting one of the half shafts back in, its not lining up. looks like the viscous has slipped enough to throw the teeth out of alignment on one side. any ideas?
  2. i might just use this thread for any other issues im bound to come across with the rest of the process, the centre is out and got a new one going in with the shim, just gave it a clean with petrol as it had been sitting around and collected some crap, just waiting for it to dry atm
  3. thanks for all the suggestions guys, ended up getting it free by basically just finding a stronger tool and pulling as hard as possible on the 1mtr long leverage, finally gave, my f**king god was that tight lol. yeh mental blank, cant beleive i didnt do this haha, first rule of gearbox/diff oil changes and i completely forget
  4. ok so went to take my diff out to shim it up, but the bloody drain plug does not want to come out. have used a lot of leverage (maybe 1m) and still didnt budge. so just wondering what i can do from here. should i just take the housing off and just wait for the oil to piss out of the opening? or is there something else i can do?
  5. f**k who would have though?
  6. im not fussed about other traffic because i know if theres a cop around, they are going for me, not the other traffic on the road.
  7. u have my reason
  8. mm was actual kind of keen for a villis meet, unfortunately by friday night my car with be race spec ready for sat and strapped to a trailer
  9. i wanna meet ted, so i can touch his penis.
  10. lol, i run 215's on a 9" all day every day, absolutely no issues, even had them on 9.5's and been fine. 215's on a 8" rim is NOT a stretch, it will fit very comfortably.
  11. why not? why people prefer cruising friday nights is still beyond me, cops are out in force and looking for cruises. much easier to go cruising during the week, much less cops around. either way, seductive cruises are lame so doesnt bother me lol
  12. seriously, wtf is with people "spotting" their own cars? lol
  13. wow, this is a rather large thread for just a defect, if we had a thread like this every time a import got defected SAU would run out of space within the first week
  14. lol at ted, well played sir.
  15. depends, if nothing else is changed u may notice some handling changes, depends on the level ur at, i didnt notice heaps of difference when playing around with wheels, unfortunately with the different wheels came different tyres, so it made it hard to compare.
  16. if ur after performance, there are other much easier, more effective and cheaper ways of doing it. as far as the wheels sitting flush, the actual wheel will probably sit flush or out a few mm, if your after good looking fitment it will depend on what tyres u plan on running.
  17. f**kING MINT!! you're gay *gets out the paint can lol, im yet to own a vehicle with air con, doesnt bother me.
  18. for instance, u can run a 205/45 R18 at the front, and a 265/40 R17 at the rear, and have no issues.
  19. rolling diameter needs to be close to equal front and rear, u can run whatever width/diameter wheel u want front and rear, as long as the profile is there to match. if u want, post up what sizes u want then we can recommend the profile ull need.
  20. there was a meet at villis fri night? wouldnt mind coming along to something like that.
  21. Item: Set of Sports Low King Springs off a R32 KDRL-102 Age: bit over a year probably, probably a few thousand k's Condition: Great, not sure if these springs actually deteriorate in condition much over time. Price: $80 To Fit: will fit R32 rear Location: SA, can post anywhere in Aus Contact: Pm me Comments: Lower the car by about 20-30mm i think, sits very nice but not too low to scrub bad, ideal for height for practicality and performance. These are almost identical to whiteline springs, the springs seen in SK's bilstein and whiteline group buy. these retail for a bit over $150pr new, save urself some $$ from buying 2 new pairs.
  22. well, depends, i mean they are an inferior part, but plenty of people run them no worries, the main issue with cheaper wheels is they are a lot heavier which decreases the ride comfort and performance a little bit. you may not even notice it. i like buying brand name wheels because they hold their value much more, they meet wheel standards (JWL, VIA etc) and they come in much better sizes and variety. i have never lost $$ from buying 2nd hand brand name wheels, in fact ive made $$, as soon as u buy brand new cheapies they will depreciate a lot.
  23. spotted a aus spec R31, white with pink flames and the usual hektik decals, i may or may not have run a red light looking at it, i guess ill find out in a few weeks in the mail lol
  24. can u get some full pics up, can only see halves and close ups in those pics. i have nfi what they are but kinda interested in hearing what they are, look interesting.
  25. lol, of all the drift cars u could have chosen to want the wheels from, not the ADD/HBC cars! but yeh, check the speedy wheels site and ull find the wheels, but be warned u are putting low quality wheels on ur baby, and are far from the best.
