Just Bought New Car And Need A Cheap/free Deck :)
KeeFy replied to damono's topic in Western Australia
I'm doing about the same with 225 rwhp! 48 lits for 420km. Which is not too bad, considering the fact that i'm stayin on campus in uni, and i only take her out on the weekends. A take lasts me 2 weeks? But that will all go down the drain when the avc-r and pfc + new turbo. Oh wells, hopin for 300hp in the not so near future. Just can't afford it for now. -
$100? Heck, I'll do it for u for $50! But i don't promise u anything!! LOL.
-
LoL. That dude is a work of art man. I've never seen someone try so hard to be a dickhead. Or maybe it's just him
-
Scary ain't it. Look at how the car get smashed into bits. If i were the guy on the left, i'd probably pee and shit in my pants faster than you can say Oh fug.

http://media.skoopy.com/vids/vid_00803.wmv Take a look at the video dudes! OMFG.
-
Yeah, agree with that. Hahah, my friend had a jun cams, forged pistons, Some aftermarket turbo i think a GT30R? But i'm not sure, and a whole lot of other goodies. 500hp with 600+ NM worth of torque.

Sometimes what you pay is what you get. Let's say you go to someone who's not so good, you might have to go back multiple times as they can't seem to tune your car properly. So in the end, you pay more than what you thought you'd do. A common case back home where i'm from. Take an evo 8 with motec. 3 times into the workshop for a dyno tune, each costing $400 couldn't settle the problem. 1 time at a more reputable workshop and with $900. Everything is settled and good to go. If he had just taken the more exp way. He'd save 1.2k. But of course there are always problems. Even the best of dyno tuners do run into a wall once in a while, so you can't really blame them. It's an art. Oh yeah, there's an idemnity form if you didn't know, so if they blow up anything in your car, they arn't liable. And if your tuning is bad .. well they always tune it rich cause it dosn't blow ur engine as opposed to lean.. then there is a possibility that your engine will blow too. Factor all these in before picking out a place. Just my .5 cents worth.

hur hur? Foggies i understand, highbeam i don't. Hids needs a while to "warm" up. So if u were to highbeam someone at anypoint, nothing will happen. Thus no one uses it for highbeam. Well no one i know that is. Oh yeah, How much are the H4's? I'm considering gettin a set as well. It's bixenons right? Not just h4 lows.

Omg, i remember downloading a clip about a ricer who had GTR badge on his Mustang and claimed he drives a GTR with a Rotary engine in it. =X Alritey, so the kid wants to have a GTR without having the cash, can't blame him can you? Afterall, GTRs are sooooo sexy. But then again, reminds me of the Subaru 1.6 all strapped up to look like a STi, but only with stock exhaust, rear drum brake, and still a 1.6 engine. =X http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-20At486a-1000.html << this is one of the the wannabes. Prolly can't see clearly, but look at the specs, that'll give u a good idea.
-
LoL! That's an idea! I was gunned at 59km/hr on a 50km/hr road. And frankly, i didn't know it was 50 on all roads. And i just got my car and all. So i told the copper that i didn't know anything, i just got my car. Worked like a charm too. I think the fact that i havn't converted my liscense is another contributing factor. =D
-
Or they'll go, " how do i know if it's the same part? You prolly changed it after you got the permit" *slaps yellow stickerat ya*
-
Errr.... 17.8 Litres? or 17.8 ML? cause 17.8 litres in an engine is like trying to say his engine capacity is more than that of a dodge viper. =E

Let me give u a rough impression. 120k r33 GTS-t. Panel scratches (keyed), average condition, with minor mods, exhaust , bov and pod filter. Went for 12K. When they state that the car imported is at 60k or 80k. Do you believe it? for a 10 yr old car to do 6k/yr or 8k/yr. Is it really possible? LoL. Think about it, it's a SKYLINE, not a ferarri or Porsche GT2/3 or a lambo or something. It's a skyline. I say the best bet is to buy one locally. But as they mentioned, loadsa shit boxes around. Good luck on that one.

I've got permits for my BOV HKS SQV, Pod filter, etc.
-
made the $$ drop too. =E

Yeahhh, was thinkin we could arrange a day when the stuff arrives, then we could all gather on a sunday afternoon and get it installed together. Prolly someone could get the 15A fuses for everyone at a shot too. Then, when have a drink together, and when night comes, everyone can show off their new set of HIDs !
-
4700~5300 range is the brightests rated at 3200lm. 6000k is 2800. But i personally prefer the white light with the bluish tinge. but if u think about it, 400lm at such a high level is not that big a deal. if u compare it to the standard 1000lm. It's like when u change from a 15" to a 17" monitor, u see the big diff, but from a 17" to a 19" u don't really see it, untill u jum from a 17" to a 21" then it makes a big difference. =)
-
Jeez! everyone is suddenly jumping onto the bandwagon ! LoL Anyway, HID's will fit anycar! (with a standard lighting system that is, EG: H1,H3,H4,H7..etc). Sorry for the delay Ban, will get it done today! CheerS! And remember pple! 15A fuses! If not u'll keep blowin up the damn fuses.LoL.
-
LoL, u know, as buyers, we're just as worried that u'll run away with the $$ and we don't get our stuff. LoL. So i guess it's a risk we have to take. Anyway, how long is will postage take? Will bank u the $$ tomorrow.
-
yo dude! pm me with ur bank details. how much dep u want?
-
Best possible? You'd be lookin at Hella Ballasts, and philips/osram bulb/globes. Will set u back by a cool 1k. But no one will be able to tell the difference untill u actually show them it's philips and hellas, cause the standard these days are so universal and common that you're looking only at reliability. Heck, you can buy 5 sets of these for the same price! Nothing gets clearer than HIDs. The bluish tint is not the lense, if u're lookin at lenses, and they tell u it's hid, you're prolly gonna get ripped off cause they are halogen "xenon" convertion where they use relays to pump the wattage to 110W and u get brighter lights. Then they use a cover to cover the bulb to give it the bluish/whitish look. The real xenons are what is being sold on the forum. With a slight bluish tinge, but mostly white, it's 6000k. More bluish is 8000k but a little bit darker, there's a trade off, then it becomes bluish purple 10000k, then purple 12000k. S15 uses projectors, so look for the projector headblubs, but these days there are universal ones. Rated as D2C. I know there are sellers whom sell the wrong kinda bulb so as to clear their stock. EG: my friend bought projector bulbs for his MR-S. Thou using Philips and Hellas, his car is relatively low, but when i was driving my rav4 back home, i still feel the glare when in front of him. Which got him fined in the end, he had to buy another set of globes for SGD$250 just to be right. LoL. Oh wells. Come on dude, join this group buy. I'm pretty anxious to get a set here for my r33 so, need to meet the 10 pple quota =E . They are one of the best investment u can make for ur car, esp when driving in dark places, you can see, literally, EVERYTHING.

Yo! Diamond White is usually 6000k. When it's quite blueish it's 8000k, then 10000k dark blueish and 12000k is purplish. Daytime white is 4700k to 5300k that's what normal OEM hids come with. But they are the otimal. usually rated at 3200lm. 6000k is 2800lms. But, 2800lm is way more than the standard of about 1000lm. hahaha. HID's for a price of $200 is bloody well worth it man.
-
oh yeah, 1 more thing, just to note for future buyers, if the kit dosn't supply you with a 15A fuse, do get one for proper usage. A normal headlight is 5A fuse if i'm not wrong. =X
-
yo dude ! u put me in twice! hahaha so that's 6 man. i only want a set of h1 6000k
-
hehehe, so what's the current headcount?
