ecu......... i had the same problem, trying to come onto boost, would missfire, shake, throw black smoke, and wouldnt come onto boost.... make sure the plug on the ecu is not bent into the actual computer, like the 10mm bolt that bolts it in, make sure the sides are equally pressed in aswell.....

well i can say it does fit, use a rb25 cross member, who told you to use a rb20 member???

well, this is the thing, i done a test 2day..... all dead even at 150 and i mean dead even except for cyl 2 witch had 50psi i done a wet test then a leakdown test and it seems as its got a bent valve, must be by slightly so little, as the car still runs 11 sec quaters, wet test came back positive thats its not a piston or ring land, so i was happy... also, ive been told that its very very uncommon for cyl 2 to let go was on teh dyno lastnite, and dyno operator stated that its running very rich.... plugs are a grey colour, indicated its burning fine, its very weird.... we also tried another ecu and same thing... still has that miss.... it mav be possible that its related to the leaking top end in cyl 2 but i have a reco head getting done now and will be slapped on by the end of the week

ok, will do, but if this was the case wouldnt it show up on the scanner as a fault??? they were running fine on the scanner when the car was on the dyno

i changed the loom also the earthing sraps are on the back of the coilpack wiring and also the igniter aswell

my 32 gtr likes missfiring only in 3rd gear onwards about 5000rpm in 3rd and most of 4 and 5th, under load. i have changed my cas, igniter, and coilpacks, and fitted new plugs 2day.... still does it, no1 can figure out what it is.... any help??? mods are 12psi and full exhaust.. cheers

wheels and tyres yes, put brand new rims , but still did this previously wih the standard wheels will bleed on weekend

i know the 4wd light comes on sometimes as i start it, and i havnt bled the system yet as per another thread, so ill give it a go, the clutch packs i doubt are worn as it does do mad 4wd hellies.. in a private industrial area

bump this thread, good read and useful info... also looking into doing the same mod to my manifolds, i have a spare set that came with my -7's and would like to get the ported for more flow...... IMO i think its a win win situation porting the manifolds, as you are essentially removing any areas of teh metal which will cause turbulence, thus this should create a smooth interrupted exhaust velocity speed directed directly into the turbo........ i read in a book somewhere about air velocity speed that this can also work, air speed can be accelerated bu using a unique design on say a pipe.... lets say we used a 45mm opening to get air thru a pipe, now, say that pipe is a sweeping bend like most manifolds, and this pipe so to speak was something like300mm long, say if we smoothly tapered down to like 42mm half way thru this pipe and opened up again to 45mm on the exit of the pipe, the air speed would be faster in a forced environment, if this is true, you could essentially get the turbos onto boost easier and also have no restriction up to at all... if this is true, which i read in a book years ago, i wish i could find it, would it be beneficial to open up the ports on the manifold where it bolts to the head say afew mm to compensate for the larger port size in the head,, smoothly taper down to the standard size, ( cleaned up abit) then once again opened up to flow smoothly into the turbo housing like you boys have been doing so far???? just a thought

my gtr does this when the front wheels decide to engage, its like a light constant vibration throughout the whole car, as i bvack of and teh torque guage reads 0 or less than 10 its fine no vibration at all.... i read some other threads but they came to the conclusion that its the center bearing.... if it was the cb, wouldnt it do it in rear wheel drive??? im yet to do a oil change on the attessa system but will in the next week, possibly a bent front tailshaft?? or CV issue??? front diff issue?? cheers denis

ok after doing some research about how the car comes on boost, its doing this, at 2500rpm, its got .2 bar, at 3000rpm its got .4 bar, at 3600 its climbing, at 4000rpm its got full boost 0.8 bar at 4350rpm its moving, all done in 4th gear on a flat road thats the best i can describe how they come on, is this normal for stock turbos????? also, i have confirmed that the dude that i bought the car off, said he payed 750 per turbo about a year ago to get reconditioned/rebuilt, now im not sure if this price would get you a hi flowed turbo or steel wheel, whats these prices like??? regards denis
