  1. lol, yeah i didnt push the clutch all the way down haha - oops! You've got the sort of powerband GTR owners spend 1000's and 1000's to obtain. A seriously fun car to drive, i even put it in 3rd on the way back to the end gate (so i wasnt touching the limiter in 2nd) and it just went straight away with smooth power delivery. Honestly, thats so, so much fun
  2. You can get coloured cable ties online, i cant remember the website though!
  3. Mate the one Dave TO4GTR has is great. I dont know what brand it is though, it may be a shimmed stocker - you'll have to ask him I drove his car on the stock one while it was on its last legs then on the new one and the new one was really nice
  4. Well thats 5 so far haha, any more?
  5. Lol how many people will plug Craved here I wonder haha I've used him, happy with the results time after time.
  6. Finish in style, clutch kick, rod out the block haha
  7. Speaking of the bug, I need to catch up on stuff at work so I'll do the entry forms and post them up over the next few days. Get in early!
  8. That's a fair bit closer than where we were though! Did it seize?
  9. THANKS DAVE FOR THE STEER!! DONT SELL IT!!!
  10. Please use the search function, this has been covered to death. Also, wrong section.
  11. Lol!
  12. It's only just on 11am and the drivers have had a crapload of runs already. BBQ is on and the sun is shining, what more could anyone want?! A MASSIVE THANKS TO THE VOLUNTEERS WHO MAKE THIS DAY POSSIBLE!!! your help is greatly appreciated It's great to see how the regulars are improving and as always great to see the camaro guys out here again Let's see pics vids and stories
  13. ITS PERFECTLY CLEAR!!!!!!! HOORAY!!!! See you all there
  14. Coming tomorrow? Would be good to see it in the flesh.....metal
  15. Exactly haha I do it for a living, and yeah someone sold him good and proper whether he likes it or not. Anyway, why hasnt anyone mentioned RE55's in this thread? If dry traction is all the OP wants, they're great! Not a drag radial like the ET's, they're still expensive compared to KU36's etc but they're all sorts of grippy once warmed up. Life span is another story though
  16. I used mine as a daily for about a year. Then you get over it, cause there's nowhere to put your foot down and not get caught. So like everyone else, wanted it built and much quicker, so did that. Now it sits at home and i use a commodore everyday which is FAR less expensive to maintain and run, plus it doesnt get attention from the wrong crowd. If i drove from home to a secure car park everyday then id try to live with it, but the triple plate makes that quite annoying. Advice? Get a shitbox daily and the GTR for weekends. There's a heap of GTR owners with multiple cars
  17. Anyone wondering about where to meet, get inside the tafe, go straight through the round a bouts and look for me in a black supra on the right hand side. As long as you're inside the tafe you wont miss us. If you make a wrong turn at the round a bouts just keep driving around and you'll end up seeing us eventually.
  18. Yes the carpark next to the wood/metal work area
  19. Nirimba tafe. When you get there go straight through the roundabouts and you'll see us on the right after 20 seconds or so
  20. The spare wheel as long as it's secure shouldn't be an issue
  21. Does this work with stock throttles or is a single throttle the only way?
  22. From this event on Doof is in charge of entries, so I can't answer about spaces, but; Water washer bottle isn't a big deal, during scruit its more loose things, decent tread, no leaks etc. Window sprayers aren't checked. Paying on the day, providing there's space, is fine Of course you'll need licences etc like normal
  23. This isn't an event like a circuit day with groups split up by experience, it's split in groups purely by numbers (eg entire field, divided by 2) One car is on the course at a time and even if you completely Fu(k up your run, no one will laugh at you. It's not that kind of environment. If you would like some help on the day, there's going to be experienced drivers there who can answer questions, no matter how silly the question may seem to you. I'd suggest going in a few cars before your first run (come see me I'll organise a very experienced driver to give you a passenger ride) so you get an idea of what to do etc
  24. If I was bringing one you be able to use it. Surely someone will bring one, eventhough no one takes it serious enough to bring semi slicks....yet
