  1. Given the high standard of Taryn's cullinary talents she could make the guniea p1g the neighbours dog was proudly marching around with in its mouth this afternoon taste a treat! Id say someone in the street would have had some quite upset children returning home from school this afternoon.
  2. Yes, im now using Nitto exclusively on all our builds...top product.
  3. Plenty of broken oil pumps and cracked blocks.
  4. Do what my daughter does...watch Kai Lan. here's a clip... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kB07xk9NZtQ
  5. To pull as much harmonic vibration as possible. The 1000hp has a larger diameter so will be more effective but needs to be rebuilt fairly often...the 600hp models are pretty much set for the life of the engine.
  6. mmm...Mt Ousley road kill for dinner tomorrow night...great pickup.
  7. Ive got to see him tomorrow so ill find out and let you know Roy.
  8. maybe...hehe...he is very happy that im giving the drag racing away...but he is yet to see how bloody shocking my driving skills are.
  9. we used a VP commodore seal...you would swear it was factory part but looks much better than the original..sits nice an flush and has good contour.
  10. Ross...price on engine, and dumps please
  11. haha The fatman aka FATGTR chopping the Guppy...bet he wasn't so happy when Johnny 'Bolt King' Hyde handed him his arse later that day.
  12. hehe...its all good the G.U.P. is actually a joke 2rismo and i have. Stace leaned out the window at Jamboree and yelled out to him "Hey Guppy, where's our cheque and trophy...he yelled back "I don't owe you shit!" lol it was quite funny. It was the booing as i was returning down pit lane after each win and the guys above the pits trying to spit on the car that was a real shame. I lined up against the PROGPA VL on one run...he kept giving me the chopped scissors and yelling out how i was going to be served on toast etc...i slowed after winning so he was alongside me...he didn't even look over...GOLD!!!
  13. Brad said having two whole days at Sepang test driving the car was an absolute blast...he learnt so much from having as he put it "Asia's Jim Richards" sitting next to him. Having the 996 for two years was a suitable 'appertiser' for this car...which i would put as a dessert served as a main!
  14. My mate just got his new toy delivered...its Yuey Tan's Changi Airport sponsored Porsche Cup car that famously raced and beat a Boeing 747 in a promotional race prior to last years Singapore Grand Prix (see link). Before purchasing he also got to test drive the car for 2 days at Sepang and cut 7 seconds of his lap times after recieving some expert tuition. The car adds to an already impressive stable of rides including a mint Porsche Cup 996 (never raced only ever used by its Japanese owner for the occaisional track day) GTR R34, GTR R32 (11000klm on it), and four very low klm Mazda rotaries (R100, RX4 Savanna etc) During his stay in Malaysia he made some very good contacts and is planning to take both Porsches back to Sepang and hold track days there for those with pockets large enough. He will be doing the Drive Bathurst day later this year in the new car...bastard!! Will upload some phone pic shots tonight.
  15. Bet you didn't get a trophy...as imports are somehow prevented from recieving one. The year i came third (after winning the race to get into the final and then told i had to re-run for jumping the start) i got nothing...even in the results on their website there was a blank space where my name should have been. Semi finalists and finalists were only listed and the semi finalist $200 cheque i should have recieved was put over the bar by GUP at the Eastern Creek Tavern. Got Ur Prizemoney is what GUP stands for.
  16. nicely ripped PJ...top stuff mate.
  17. I ran one of these regs with 2 x 044's for years...never a problem with lack of return flow...we even measured flow rates and pressures at idle...rock solid.
  18. James, were the pistons installed the correct way around? Did the piston skirts appear to have excessive wear. The pin offset the wrong way around could have the rod angle incorrect at TDC.
  19. its a 62. Jun do not produce a 295 deg camshaft off the shelf...is it a special order custon grind? What retainers are you using?
  20. Thanks Mark, we have always had the H pattern record in our sights...even if we don't go that quick to have a good meet and manage a PB with consistent runs backing it up would be a success. I still haven't recieved the Quantum and Speedflow invoices as earlier requested, please forward them to my email account so i can transfer you the cash. good luck in your future racing and the crack at the 7.56.
  21. Thanks Rob, Will be running full trim when testing...but will be light for the event on the 28th. I always run street radials on the car and not planning to run anything different at this late stage. Next time im over in NZ Rob ill give you a call and catch up for a few...as long as the dog is behaving and fed before i arrive
