  1. i would imagine they would take to detonation a little better. If it does have different pistons, i couldnt see why they'd put standard rods back in while they were at it...or at least preped nissan rods.

  4. hey just wondering, this may sound like the most stupidest question..but i bought an acer 4070 laptop, its got 2ghz processor, 1 gb ram, 100gb hard drive...etc.etc is there any way i can upgrade everything in the future? like ram and harddrive? I use it for CAD and INVENTOR and general internet stuff, inventor give it a run for its money....it still copes very well but in the future i may want more... so yea simple question....can i upgrade this like a normal desktop computer?

  6. There are some major differences between the PFC and the neo(piggyback). But the main and probably the most important for tuning for power is the ignition timing. With a neo you cant change ignition timing, you can only adjust air fuel mixtures and the standard edu keeps factory settings with ignition timing, where as a PFC is a complete replacement and is responsible for all of these things. hence why you cant completely get rid of that R and R thing that the rb25s do with just a piggyback. You need timing adjustment also.

  9. i you want a trade to learn everything...knowledge about all general mechanics, fabrication. Do a Fitter and turner apprentiship. I just finished mine. Best thing i did. Car's are basic in comparison. The things you learn are related to all mechanical things. learning Tuning and high performance stuff is a matter of spending the time with the right person. also, you have the ability to fabricate your own things the way you want them. very handy knowledge.

  15. it worked for me, silicon is great shit. just dont put huge amounts on. a smooth bead is all you need. otherwise it gets messy.
  16. on the inside of the boot where the nuts for the spoiler have gone through, if visible, smear some silicon around the nuts, no one will see it.
  17. doesnt take much, im a toolmaker and from what ive seen even the very smallest of cracks in metal, hardly visible, over time with vibration will eventually let go.

  19. its probably best as it assists with airflow around the radiator and around the sump. which in a GTR would be very important. Im sure its not life or death but get around to finding one.

  22. amen brother! have a warm glass of harden the f**k up. i owned an r31 with an rb25det in it for 5 years. everyday i hit the limiter. didn't really care about it that much....no such thing as a warm up in that car....had 205rwkw the day i got rid of it. still purrs like a kitten to this day.
  23. yea by no means am i saying its shit! no way at all...i got mass respect for this car LOL. love it long time! ive done a dodgy turbo conversion on a mates vp 5lt and the power that made was surprising so i couldnt imagine how this thing would go.
  24. but its sacraligious. hehe its more than double the capacity of course it does. nah thats just me, id prefer the RB as opposed to the v8. hands down...nothin like a 26. despite the power that thing puts out...but lets not start that. my opinion
