  1. sorry guys, not too good with puter lingo.... dualing up the ram, is this a good thing or a bad thing.. why would they have done this and the lappy is brand spankin new...why would someone want to 'over-clock' it?
  2. each to their own but i wouldn't be too concerned about it, what id do would be put up with it and save some coin until you can replace it with a DET. if you dont want to do that then it could be a number of things...you also have to face the facts that its a 1400odd kilo car with a na 2.5lt in it, its not meant to be a fast car.
  3. there's heaps of variables... do a comp test...check everything...even small shit like fuel filter, air filter, air leaks...just check shit...maybe it was raped by its previous owner.

  5. mine sounds very simular. 202rwkw and i use 255's and does the same thing. mate, get a dyno reading, to look at your a/f ratio, may be runnin mega rich and boggin itself down...dont stress mate, youll be poppin seconds for the ladies in no time. maybe your car is just plain shit...i dont know, what am i? a doctor?
  6. igniter pack ontop of rocker cover of series 1 is actually inside the series 2 computer and not on the rocker cover. other than that im unawares of anything else..perhaps try searching the topic.

  15. all depends, you could daily drive a 300rkw standard internal rb25det for 10years...its all about how you drive it. daily drive it conservatively, give it some herbs every now and then should last years...take it to the track and its unpredictable/

  17. impressive gt-passage. so in theory a bigger turbo with less boost is safer than a smaller turbo with more psi making the same power? sure it will be a bit laggier but will be safer for standard internaled rb25? is this a valid theory? common knowledge?

  24. I bloked mine off recently coz i can. really just outta curiosity and bordom. It drops the revs to the point of near stalling when working with low revs, ie. reversing slowly etc...pops flames and is making a dark patch on the rear of my car hehe. not blowin wind up anyone's arse, i found the car a bit more punchier with it blocked off....strange coz my last rb25 was opposite. got worse and was better with it unblocked. my two bob.
  25. .7 gap worked for me. when taking the spring out the coil, use some emery paper to clean inside the coil, this will bring it up the contact surface like new. make sure the rubber boot around the coils aren't split
