I bought Bendix Advanced for my fronts. When asked about the rear, the guy at repco said I need to show him what brake pads I have there cos he needs it as a guide...? Does anyone have a part number for Bendix Advanced rears?

Actually can you have better brake pads on the front and shitter quality on the back (seeing as the front absorb the load of the braking force)?

Well the car is stock and wont be seeing the track any time soon... after all they are just brake pads...

Can any mechanic workshop machine the disks for a skyline or must i go to some special one? Also how much is the process?

Called around Repco, Super cheap auto and Bruson and none have Bendix Ultimates... They do have at Burson for $59 front and back Bendix GCT. Are these any good? I dont plan to go tracks just for normal street driving. Also is machining the disks a must or can I skip that part? Cheers.

2 weeks ago i got a small (3 cm in length and 1 cm in width) scratch on my right hand side panel just before the driver door... the truck opened a door and scratched it, all in a tight loading bay. they owned up to it and long story short I got offered 400 bucks cash for the damages, the thing is i got quoted 600 bucks to fix it at panel beaters. this is due to them painting the bonnet to blend the colour etc. now one guy agreed to just paint the actual scratched panel and also a scratched (not related) mirror... he said we can get away with not painting/blending the bonnet as i wont be able to tell the difference... he said if someone else paid for it then he would paint the bonnet but since im only paying 400 bucks hell just do the panel itself with a mirror. do u think itll turn out good or should i also paint the whole bonnet?

Cheers mate! I wont buy the filter. So clean the filter then change the oil.... Ive got 3 x 4 litre bottles of Transmax Z oil... What about the flush of the old engine oil? I presume that the current old oil in my tranny isnt Transmax Z... or is the whole flush process what you described above?

At Repco they got one for 70 bucks, is this a good price or can I get it any cheaper anywhere else? Also Im changing my tranny oil to transmax z and need a tranny flush... do i need to buy some type of detergent for this process or how does it work? Cheers.

Redlining at 7000 RPM = thrashing. If you thrash your car, dont expect it to last as long. I drive an auto, when driving normally I let go off the gas at around 2000 RPM... then go back up to 2000 RPM. Also I never go over 2000 RPM when the car is warming up for the first 10 or so minutes...

Can anyone chip in? If buying a non Nissan dealer coolant, what coolant would you recommend for GTST R33?

I got a cruise control with my car, i think its Commander or something brand... need to double check but its great. Works a treat on highways.

I was told by my family friend mechanic to get some Nissan coolant from the dealer for my skyline... he said that most stuff at shops are not going to be suited for the turbo skyline. Anyone know how much they charge for coolant at Nissan Dealers? Cheers.

Apparently not. You need to get the fitted properly, it aint a simple "remove and fit" job. Also they cost 2K!
