  1. It looks good, stfu you lil c**ts BTW the build quality of VE should be much improved over previous models. The panels have been spaced much tighter so do not expect it to sound like a VL in a few years.
  2. Get a job I saved every penny for my car.
  3. How quick are they? A few years ago Motor had an article on it and they presumed it do around 5 sec 0-100 km/h. IMO thats way too slow as it has around 300 KW and weighs just a tad over a tonne.
  4. Yes the fact that there is a commodore released in Aus every 2 or so years is the biggest cause of it.
  5. I love my auto! I bought my car to cruise and flog every now and then, and it does that nicely! As far as the depreciation... look at a new Commo SS or Falcon Xr8. The new car costs around 50 grand... ok they buy it for about 45 K... after 2 or 3 years the car is worth around 30... losing 15 grand in 2 years, now thats gotta hurt. I bought my car for just under 18 grand at the start of the year, mint condition, hardly used. If in the near future (2-3 years) I sell it and get over 10 grand for it Im still laughing cos I am prepared to lose that kind of money as its hardly 15 K Ive mentioned above. i think many people complain about this here is because 90% of Skyline drivers are usually uni students with no stable income... ages between 18 and 30. If your too worried about depreciation, dont buy any car, take a train.
  6. Not talking about petrol prices. Build quality and reputation aside, a new HSV that costs around 80 K gives most new BMWs a run for their money (as far as acceleration times are concerned) which are usually 2 or even 3 times the price. This is the reason why there will always be a market for them...
  7. Tell your wife to get f**ked, buy whatever you want as long as its not gonna break the bank... whats up with guys these days, getting ruled by a woman!!
  8. Check the price bracket...its pretty good value for money IMO.
  9. Windows. Skylines Edition. Linux. For Skylines. Mac OS. Skylines. I really hope your laptop dont crash
  10. I always got impression R34 drank more than R33... anyway mine (stock) got 430KMs with roughly about 18 litres left till the tank was dry. So in theory I could get to around 450 Kms and still have juice left. This was also when my tyres were 30 PSI, now they are 40 PSI I expect my economy to go up even more. (recommended is 36 PSI)
  11. It says that stock 16 inch wheels should run 36 PSI... I guess 40 PSI wont hurt.
  12. Today when driving around, I was warming up my car and I noticed there was some wierd chirping sound somewhere in the tranny I think... it was constant, didnt matter whether I was stationary or moving. It sounded like birds chirping slightly... the sound went away after the car warmed up. Any ideas?
  13. Ha... and whoever said R32 was the best... plz.
  14. Correct me if im wrong but running a turbo car on gas is like being a bodybuilder on a vegie diet.
  15. Ive had my car (stock wheels) sittign on 30 PSI (?). I noticed the car didnt roll too well when up on a hill. Because I drive a lot on freeways I pumped my tyres up to 40 PSI... the car rolls much better now and I am getting better economy, I know that I now should take care in the wet as the tyres are not as grippy. Whats your tyre pressures?
  16. Silver S2 R33, is there anything nicer?
  17. Also get iridium spark plugs.
  18. HUH000, R31Nismoid comes off usually full on and direct but his posts are usually spot on and cut through the bullshit! He meant dont use silly atmo BOVs as they make ur car run shitty (unles u run massive boost) and also attract cops and get you fined! So relax, smile and take his advice! Cheers BTW I was like u before, the only thing is I never got caught with it and sold it and now run with a stock BOV which is great!
  19. I had a similar problem, check my thread in Skyline & Other Vehicle Specific Discussion. Basically I blew my headbulbs. Check ur fuses, they are under ur bonnet! If they are ok it may be your headlight switch! I recommend u eliminate the following first before going to auto electrician: check for faulty bulbs, check fuses, check if the power flows to the headlights using a voltage meter. If all ok or as u said no power, then go see auto electrician.
  20. If you have an aftermarket atmo BOV, replace it with your stock or plumb it back... as it will stall ur car and make it run rich, backfire and petrol wastage. Change fluids (engine oil, gear box oil, coolant)
  21. Ok my head bulbs fried... funny cos they were MTEC, Japanese brand and only had them for under 2 months. I fitted my old ones in and they were fine...I didnt know u need to have them inserted all the way in to test... +ve and -ve. PS yes the fuses are under the bonnet, not in the back Manwhor3.
  22. Now that Im in final semester of uni I drive basically everyday to and from uni. Its 20 min drive. But to be accurate Ive added 7000 Kms since buying the car back in late March.
  23. Can some one plz show me where to locate the fuse for headlights and how to remove it and where to buy the replacement one? Im kinda desperate. Cheers.
  24. Hah... actually the book itself is for entertainment only...I wouldnt use it to educate myself Heads up bro!
