  1. Ive got the buzzer in mine too... kinda neat I dont mind it at all. Im pretty sure the above explanation would be beneficial.
  2. First of all work out what you want to achieve, looks (like I said chrome on sports are is bad, good for 4WD like in America) or power. If you have a massive FMIC and upped boost and 20 inch chromies... wtf are you trying to achieve? Its like a sprinter having a cigarette before a run... If you want a nice modded car with nice wheels then get some smaller 18 wheels that are light weight... Im not asking you to get the super light type but something that doesnt weigh a tone... youll be amazed how slower sports cars go with 20 inch rims, esp chrome. Make up your mind with the following pics: Clearly chromes are suited for the 4WD!

  7. My car is having similar problem. When I gun it, it loses power and starts to stall. Mechanic said its my AFM. Coil packs are fine and new sparkies. Ive ordered second hand AFM...

Took it to mechanic, he cleaned the engine with some spray that he sprayed through the vacum hose and revving the car, all this black smoek came out... he also cleaned throttle control which had heaps of black shit inside. ALso had it retuned. Car runs better now but when you still push it hard it starts playing up again so in the end he said my AFM is f**ked so Im getting second hand AFM next week.

  10. It varies, stalled again today a few times. It goes through stages where the car runs fine, then starts stalling. Coil packs are clean and silver inside. Spark plugs are new iridium.

  14. lol.... i fiddled around with a few plugs (AFM, AAC valve etc) and the car hasnt stalled even once today and I thrashed it to "test" too.
  15. Ive had more than enuff info on how to fix the car (past threads). The coils, spark plugs, AFM all seem fine... its a job for mechanic now. Im just wondering whether Nissan dealer's quote will be much higher than some small performance shop... Also my car is stock! Car is 96 S2 GTST. Car stalls when warmed up and when pushed past 2000 rpm.
  16. ok then. just incase you dont know, if u put a blower onto a v8 or a v6 it would also leave a stock v6 or v8 for good.. its called, "mods."
  17. My car stalls for no apparent reason. It has a warranty on it. I have taken the car to general mechanics and they found nothing wrong with the car, but it still stalls. I spoke to warranty company and they told me to go take car to any workshop and if they find something wrong with it, to fax over and see if can be covered by warranty. I was thinking of taking it to Nissan dealer, is this good or bad idea? Or take it to some import mechanic/performance mechanic to inspect the car... then fax the details to warranty company and workout whether they can cover it... opinions?
  18. How can a car that does around 6.2 sec to 100 (in Japan with Japanese fuel which is 101 RON back in 94-97) beat a much NEWER car that does around 6.1 sec more so "leave for good?"
  19. Im kind of new to cars so wanted to know apart from mechanics, who could do such things as AAC cleaning or AFM cleaning on here? Im sure many of guys on here know their stuff... Im reluctant touching anything in my engine department but maybe someone could lend me a hand... *moved from tutorial by paulr33*

  21. The mechanic (non import) rang me today said it may be my turbo timer... yeh right. he said the car stalled on them once... i think they may need to send it off to import aware mechanic.

  23. stock car... spark plugs have been changed ot new iridium NGK... coil packs r fine too. AFM is clean. no idea... i think it may something to do with the fuel system (fuel lines, fuel pump)... thought maybe u guys could chime in with something else...
  24. My car for some reasons has stalling problems after hitting boost when its warmed up. It has stalled, then when I turned it back on stalls again, then on second time it starts but at times when I gave it some gas it splutters and then plays. THis only happens when I rev it past 2000 RPM, I drove below 2000 rpm yesterday and didnt play up at all. What could this problem be??
