Ok checked the coils and they are silver inside... no dirty stuff!! So obviously not the coils! Gonna check fuel filter, afm and fuel pump today... Also went for a drive yesterday doing 60-70 Km/h without boosting past 2.5 K and the car was fine...

My car is in good nic and only 46,000 KMs... I warm her up before boosting every time... its also auto so should drink more than manual... try and see if u can just run her dry or at least have the needly touch the last bar... the light should come on soon after and ull have about 10 litres. Or carry some petrol with u at the time... BTW my car has done 440 KMs and the needle is barely touching the last bar... so I should be right for another 20-40 KMs...

Im going to clean my coils and check my AFM this Saturday. Well keep you posted!

Every 100000 kms. Seeing as you car was imported and may have easily gone over 100000 Kms in real life Id be looking at changing the belt pretty soon...

I have the same spluttering problem in my R33... on the weekend I will inspect the coil packs and clean them from the inside... also check out the AFM... Does ur car stall after this problem too? Is it just me or is there way too many people cars with these problems????

I have a similar problem. Does your car also splutter, meaning when your driving it doesnt rev past 3000 rpm and when u hit gas it just keeps bouncing up and down making this horrid noise like "jee jee jee" then goes away then comes back? Im gonan try cleaning my coils and then AFM...

I dont have a fuel or oil smell but at times I get this methane smell, it reeks like someone farted or exhaust fumes... i can vouch for not letting off in the car... what can cause this?

Its all good. I switched the alarm back on and armed it, it went off for few seconds then rearmed silently... works great.

Cos they seem to be reluctant to help, the exact words "I wouldnt know what to do with it..." came from the dealer. I have warranty on it which I paid big bucks for but they reckon somehow after market BOV voided it even though i took it off and the problem still persists.

Any idea how much they are to replace or fix? Also can you tell me what the acronym stands for?

Mines auto R33 and I find that when the car has not warmed up properly it sits on around 2900-3000 RPM, once it has warmed up it drops to as far as 2,600 RPM.

I have a Mangoose alarm and today weve disconnected the main battery to reset ECU and now when I try and arm my alarm it just wont shut up... can anyone give me a quick solution what to do and how to get it back in the working order? Cheers.
