  1. How different though? Cos at the moment its audible after 3000 rpm... btw my car is auto.
  2. I heard that with stock air filter the blow off valve is less audible right? So when you add the pod it sounds a lot louder?
  3. Is it just me or does the interior (dash board) resemble so much R34?

    Remote Start

    na its called "SMARTNESS!
  5. Ive purchased a GFB Hybrid blow off valve with an R33 adapter but having some problems fitting it myself... Ive spoken to one of the official GFB fitters and they want around 80 bucks to fit it... AutoBarn said it may take an hour or hour and half to fit it and asking for around 60-80 bucks... Autobarn is like 15 min from me while GFB guys are 50 mins drive... I want this thing fitted on Sat... who to go to? Unles someone knows good and reliable people who could fit this bastard on.
  6. Congrats, I drove past that same street many times... Anyway, after I pay off my loan, im starting to save up for my own place.

    Remote Start

well thats silly.. my brothers commodore has a remote start.... i love it. esp on those cold mornings... start the car from inside the house... when you get into the car its warm but yes its auto.
  8. Im yet to try full tank of Synergy but so far my R33 loves BP Ultimate... runs better mileage than Optimax... also doesnt have that sulfer smell... And yes I heard Extreme has ethanol which is a no for Skylines.
  9. The difference between those Adelaide Car forums is that the only reason they got busted for street racing is cos they posted photos of their cars doing racing and burnouts... the guy on here is merely asking advice on his situ. Anyway no one is saying street racing is good, but its like farting... everybody does it, not many admit to it!
  10. Im gonna either get my bro to do it (he rocks in car and electronics stuff) and i also have that damono guide from WA to follow that i posted earlier in this thread in word. or if worse comes to worst ill go ask my family friend whos is a mechanic to do it... Im from melb so cant meet up with u guys.
  11. lol ok i cbf with u Innitial Ds... im goin to bed. good night
  12. well buddy thats called "common sense." ever heard of "dont try this at home?" what u read and follow (esp online) is your responsibility... if the kid is too dumb then he shouldnt exist or breed... we are living in a free country, not North Korea... we do as we please...
  13. Cops can do you in for flakey paint on your number plate or just by being present around a Maccas car park.. whats your point?
  14. Well thats the thing though Id rather give it a squirt against some exotic or un usual car... I would not race another Skyline for the heck of it... I dont buy pr0n... it comes for free whether in real life or online and yeah the AMG was a big V8 and I was caught off guard but once she got that AMG flying I had no chance to reel it back in...
  15. same car as me, H1.
  16. Technically... what if you were racing your own shadow? Anyway to sum it all up, if you going to race on the street, do it up to the limit, do not speed but before you even going to do this, do a head check 360 degrees for the cops... while I dont condone "street racing" I can vouch for just about everyone on SAU or any other car based forum that everyone raced, is racing and will race at some point in their life... be it legal at a car circuit or on the streets. If you disagree with this then by all means sell your 17 K second hand Skyline and buy a brand new Hyundai Getz, youll have a few $K left over for the years supply of petrol. Personally I dont like squirting it for the mere fact that: 1. I dont want to cop a speeding fine 2. The petrol is too dear But yes I admit to street racing too, in the last 3 weeks of owning my R33 I even had an older lady in her AMG C5 Merc drag me in the 80 zone... I got up to 80 and let it go while she proceeded to speed off to a 100... so perhaps yes, dragging on the street is dumb as it will make normal people do dumb shit even though its exciting and gets your blood pumping! (Ps I got my ass kicked by that AMG) Having said this, I dont drag every freaking car at the lights more like if I feel that the conditions are safe and there are no police around and Im generally curious to see how my car measures up to the one next to it. We can keep going with this thread until Officer Friendly finds it and reports it to his colleagues or we can say adios and move on. Im done.
  17. Shit.. thanks for those tips... Im actually 25 and pay 1100 for full cover with rating 1 protection with Just Cars... u got it bit better Yeh anyway, dont buy the car if u cant insure it properly.
  18. I think insurance is the least of his worries... petrol prices will own j00!
  19. If he didnt actually break the speed limit then you can argue that he didnt break the rules... sure he raced... twice but what if he was alone and dropped it as well? Is that street racing too? Not meant to stir this up just wonna see your opinion on it. I mean why do we all have high powered Skylines? I sure didnt buy mine so I could take it to Calder park every Friday night, I bought it so I could overtake just about every car at the lights when need be. Mind you I have all my 12 demerit points.
  20. Actually here is another reframe: Is racing another sports car until 60 KM/h (speed limit) in your skyline just as bad as trying to race a soccer mum in her BMW X5 into the merging lane?
  21. Fair call but didnt he say he just gunned it down until 60 and then let go? If he didnt speed then I see no problem as I am 100% sure most of the SAU regulars give it some stick every now and then...
  22. man u remind me of my mate... hardcore c**t.. gets into a lottoa shit with other guys but very straight to the point and honest! cheers mate!
  23. what state was this in? u either get ready to have a GREAT story and plead not guilty or plead guilty with no story. if u exceeded the speed limit by over 10 KM/h then ur a bit of a dick (if local zone) if u did this on a freeway and exceeded the speed a little then i can understand that. EDIT: if u just gave it stick till 60 KM/h in a 60 zone then plead not guilty and explain that u were driving under the speed limit but got to 60 quickly... u were never actually speeding and not doing any street racing.
  24. hope this helps
  25. Im serious man... if you buy it, learn to drive before you hit boost.
