Never been to Calder, would people laugh at me with a stock auto R33? lol

Well saturday and sunday mornings are the only times I get to snooze in!

I just bought a R33 II Coupe, auto. The car is in great condition, and as much as I am enjoying auto, I can always convert it to manual later on... And Ive been to Power Road... they got some nice cars but also some a bit worn... Id suggest a check up before commiting.

The easiest way to steal ANY car is with a tow truck. So make sure to park where other cars have no easy access to get to from the front or behind. As for my car I got: Mongoose alarm 3 point immobliser Club lock My brother bought a cheap SUpercheap auto alarm and then edited it himself... he fitted a house alarm speaker onto it and other neat stuff... now it sounds like a cop car lol

So i should always have over drive on ye? no i dont look for hills its just whenever im rollinw down to the traffic lights that are about to turn red i still have to gas it a bit otherwise i lose all my tempo, the commodore had over 270000 KMs though, this one has 44000. Just trying to work out how i could make it roll bit better.

Prior to this R33 GTS-T (auto) I used to drive a VS commodore which was about 100 KG heavier... now when going down the hill the VS just rolled like crazy picking up speed. The R33 which is lighter, doesnt roll well at all...Infact the only time it rolled good was when I chucked it into NEUTRAL (i heard its bad for tranny though). Is this OK or? Cos i feel i could be saving petrol money if it rolled better. The car is stock with stock wheels. Also can anyone explain to me whats the go with over drive? I got cruise control and when i turned it off while cruising on 100 KM/h the revs jumped from 2.5 K to over 3.5 K and it slowed the car down so i turned over drive on. Cheers

Funny that you say that (how common R33s are) I think I start to see more s15s than R33s.

Has anyone got an atmo blow off valve on their auto skyline? Many people roll eyes at the thought on an auto as atmo BOV goes off when manually changing gears as you step off the gas pedal... should this be with auto too? Gas it, step off the pedal, out comes the "vrooom choo" sound. I know many auto VLs have BOV that sound pretty good. Sorry about the wanky topic but I just want some info from people who did have it done. Cheers.

Mate, is there any stats or proof to your "R33s are crap" post? I mean i personally think all R32s are crap, cept R32 GTR... but thats my opinion and I keep it to myself... The reason why I think R32s are crap is cos they are no bigger than sn s13 silvia... and most of them have seen better days... but then again Im 6'4 and like my cars newish. Comments?

Ive just bought series 2 R33 and Id have to say that its a much more appealing package. The trim inside the car is better, the headlights are much better, they are newish design. The steering wheel is nicer. Two air bags, series 1 has one. Also its safe to say that more series 1s have been boosted and thrashed compared to series 2. In the end II will cost a few grand more than 1... I much prefered the look and feel of II so i got one.

yeah very fun im smiling every time i drive it! u mean autos make it harder to stick to the speed limit rather than manuals? i like to squirt it every now and then but i respect the car too much to floor it around every bend. i also had my lisense for over 7 years now... so bit more mature than ur average skyline owner.

Ok well after 3 weeks of looking and nearly buying the wrong car from the wrong car dealer I have finally went down to see the guys at SSV in Melb and they matched me up with the new love of my life lol I have always been a Holden Commodore guy and lately into XR6Ts but this car just blew me away I reckon this 96 model Skyline is a much better put together car than some of the new local cars. Shes a 96 GTS-T Silver. Auto. Low Ks. Blitz Dual stage turbo timer. Cruise control MTEC "HID like" 4.7K head light bulbs Mongoose alarm and 3 point immoboliser. Tinted windows. Pioneer deck GTR hi flow cat (i think anyway) Pirellis Otherwise stock... Clean car and engine bay... didnt take engine bay pics as I just remembered them while typing this post up lol Anyway enjoy pics guys:

Yeah my mate just got turbo Mr2 and giving me bit of shit cos hes is manual mine is auto... i drive when its peak hour traffic (Melbourne is peak hour traffic non stop). So its great just put your foot down and it flies! ALso no need to worry about clutches or leg cramps and the fact that Im 6'4 does it make it much easier not to have to move your feet ever 2 seconds... lay down, kick back
