You dont use both of your headlights to light up the road with low beam... the outer ones light up with low beam, the inner ones are high beam... when you high beam the outer low beams switch off. The H1 is for the outer low beams. Also you wont be needing high beams anymore as HID will take care of it. here is that thread from WA: H1_HID_Kit_Installation.doc

Last night driving towards Southland... some of you know to make a left turn just before Southland shopping center you need to get into this service lane on the left, cos I dont live there I missed it... just before me this AU Falcon turned into the service lane to make a left turn into this road that I needed to turn into... anyway I slowed down to make a left turn (kinda illegal I know, my bad but I slowed right down and was giving that Falcon a permission to turn first, he didnt go so I presumed he wanted me to go first) so I went, as soon as I went past him he beeped me and flashed the lights... Im like "ok whatever"... 10 meters down the road I had to turn left into the car park there... the Ford's still flashing me and following behind... now this is where I said "f**k this guy, ill be a prick too"... so instead of turning off into the car park I just stopped and stood there blocking him off, he could of drove around offcourse but he kept on my ass... after 10 secs i drove into the car park and stopped my car...the ford drove in to the left side of me and as I put my window down and say "how you goin mate?" I see this really old dude in his 60s with this grimmace on his face like hes about to explode lol He proceeded to quickly get out of his car and in that split second I quickly thought to myself "do i really need to have a confrontation with some old dude whos obviously looking for trouble" (id have no problem dropping a guy who is nearly 3 times my age) so I just gassed it and got out of that car park... the other thing that worried me was " can i afford a dint on my car from this hooligan LOL... seriously, i had nothing to prove to this guy... and didnt want my baby to get hurt in the process (for all i know he could of taken his cane stick out lol). Ok put me down mate...H1 kit for my R33 S2. The only thing to work out now is do I go for 6000K or 8000K, I like the bluey tint and from what I can tell 6000K does have a blue tinge to it, 8000K is way more though is that right? What would you recommend? Dont want cops on my ass regarding xenons. EDIT: Put me down for 6000K x 1 kit. H1.

There is a thread that covers all the things when buying a car although most of it is gibberish talk when you have no clue about cars (like me). I suggest you grab a mate who knows his Skylines and head out. When I bought my car I looked at two cars that day. One was from Power Rd, it went OK but inside it had some little issues, also at the back the car had some screws thing embedded into the boot floor... might have been involved in a crash.. who knows.. it also didnt have ABS breakes. In the end I chose the second car from SSV, it looked like it was well looked after and my mate aprooved it too... it was an auto... im lazy so auto is perfect for me... if you want manual then get manual, dont buy the car that u dont want...

I want to know: I got R33, will there need to be for any adjustments cos the R33 headlights are reflectors. not projectors. I keep hearing that they need to be adjusted (for a price) so as not to blind oncomming drivers... I dont want to buy the HID and then have to spend another 200 bucks to adjust the lights for my car...
