I think so once you replace r34 engine, wouldn't everything need to be neo? pfc has a different unit for each of the r32,33,34 GTT GTR....so I think have to get a diff ecu...ask CYA34 I guess

what's the difference between these two, I read some other forum says that the Neo has mild V-tech (Nisan version). Is this true? I'm considering fitting Greddy intake plenum, but they only produce for r33. anyone have any idea if they will fit in R34? thanks

huh? ohh no that's not what I meant...I'm curious since brix are non reclining I wonder if is it possible to fit a non reclining seat and still can have ppl sitting at the back...but you removed your seats, ripping backseats is a term I used with my mates referring to removal of the backseat…sry abt that dun mean to be rude.. thanks anyways...

out of curiosity does anyone know if Reno is still the Head of Welshpool vehicle Inspection Centre? he seems like a nice person...The last thread of him was in 2003.... want to get a more recent update cheers...modifications I'm not sure I can get permits for -Profec Bspec II -pFC Mentioned in the links that I can get permits for the electronics but I went to the pit and the guy told me :"we like everything to be fixed" refering to be able to play with a/f ratio and boost pressure... -HKS hi power exhaust again the links said I can get a permit, but the cops who pulled me over "no permits are given out for exhaust" -Bride Seats I heard they have to be reclining? -17" rays rims I went tru the pit asked for a permit and they refused to give, the cops pulled me over wants me to get a permit - body kit the Cops pointed that my car is too low, but I'm on standard suspension..then he wants me to get a permit for my body kit.. huh??? the pit says "we don't give out permits for body kits" but I passed... -bov as mentioned before, the pit passed me and the cops keep catching me for it...??? one of the nicer cops let go of me saying "not too loud, it's ok" thanks beforehadn for those who has got informations...thanks

lol seems that they give inconsistent permits..some have permits for this some don't lol....I think we all should get the examiner's name, work days and time and put a list of mods of what he passed... lol... these permits are given depending on the persons mood I'm guessing...so go sumtime after melbourne cup, ask around if any of the inspector won...buy some roses, wine and send them birthday card!! lol... we should do those arrangement for SAU.."ehheem, it's not a bribe just appreciation for keeping the road safe" ... add a Wink wink* to that....

umm not those, I meant more like a large scale mods...I went to pit got the brown paper for the cf spoiler, intercooler and the RSM but the guy showed me a piece of white form like 10 pages or sumthing in case I wanted further mods.... I asked and the guy say that 50% power increase is the most that is legal or sumthing didn't quite get it... I passed twice with HKS BOV but they refused to give a permit for them<<---- weird?? so if I get caught again I have to go back to pit, passed and get back there to be caught again..stupid thing they do!! He said that I have to write down all the mods I wanted to get and they'll do a preliminary check (on the wish list) if approved then I have to go to a mechanic appointed by the Pit (after everything fitted) to make sure everything is legal or so.... but I'm thinking the cost for the car to be checked by the mechanics must be quite expensive...and this mechanic knowing that I desperately need the mods will jack the price up? don't you think? so wondering if anyone out there has gone thu with these? the orange and grey gray checkers are out there more often now =( thanks Dan ...looking @ the link now..

umm waht abt the datalogger? well sometimes need to research these stuff...cost does not necessarily comes with quality... for example retail price for pfc here is about $1300 while I got mine from for $960 brand new with hand comander and straight from Japan.... well if this case X-speed is good..then I'll have to go with X-speed....I prefer X speed as well but they are expensive so trying to find cheaper alt...but seems you guys agree that X-speed is worth every cent..then I'll go along...pls explain datalogger thingy sumone~~ cheers

this is tricky...pod filter is installed in hope to suck in more air into the engine.... however the disadvantage being, as the engine bay heats up, hot air is being sucked instead of cold air.... warm air has lesser density compared to cold air. Which also means that there will be lesser oxygen content in a meter cube of air in comparison to the more dense cold air. And combustion rely on oxygen in the air... The intention is good, some ppl install air box or heat shield around the pod filter, however that defeats the initial purpose of trying to suck in more air ~~...so if heat shield were installed, in overall you get air warmer than from the standard cold air induction and a more restricted flow than from a non shielded pod filter. Which ends up pretty much in similar condition to a factor air filter. I read once in magazine saying that it is actually best to leave the air filter standard esp Vtecs due to the resonance mambo jumbo which I dun really get... I did get the HKS mushroom tho and my 0-100 speed was a few secs slower than it used to be (RSM)....but I didn't regret switching the filter..I like the breathing sound it makes...suking thing...

huum datalogger meaning saved data from previously tuned r34? I see...so basicaly find a shop who has done similar tuning to what I wanted? There is this r33 X-speed has done...The pfc for R33 GTSt and R34 GTt are different even though they both have Rb25. Does this mean that the data X-speed has cannot be used in my ECU?

the kit I saw from the web cost abt $1500 but they are reversible... http://www.xracing.com.au/index2.htm so basically chuck in the old hinge and everything's good again... tbear are your kits reversible as well? let's say I want to custom the hinge like the yellow GTT..do I go to panel shop or metal work guys?..huummm

umm safc does not control boost I think.... but if you mean getting another boost controler....the ceramic turbine can usually hold up to 1.1 bar that is without spike N stuff and if you do have spike, the turbine will be shmashed into bits and the pieces will fly into you engine and your exhaust chuck out turbo turbine....muahhahaha...and you need a new engine muhahaha I read a few forums abt ceramic dust or sumthing here...and they just replace the whole engine~~ umm recomended 0.8 to be safe, lots of ppl do 0.9 - 1bar tho...

hey guys, just received my PFC today and wondering where's the best place to tune skylines in W.A .....Mine is a GTT R34, dun think the car model make any difference.. ahh also exclude X-speed lol they are too expensive for me...I asked they charged like $800 + dyno....lol I was told Evo R or top racing...
