  3. Ebay seems cheaper, even for the more Euro popular brands like TRS and Sparco.
  4. I just rang Velo and confirmed it can be wrap around mounted. He also said that you get 10yrs out of it, 5yrs standard and then at a CAMS event they honour for another 5 so decent value, I might just go with that. Anyone got any mad deals on Velo gear?
  5. Can the Velo be wrap around mounted?
  6. OK cheers. In this instance, when compared to those G-Force belts, a 4 point is actually much more expensive.
  7. I'll keep that in mind. There's not much else in the way of 4pt FIA harnesses besides the velo and the rpm one, anything else worth considering? And is 4pt going to be enough. I guess if the FIA cna approve them then they must be OK, and at the moment I just use the normal belt anyway...
  8. Looks Alright snowy. http://www.velo.com.au/itemdetailspage/31965 Do you run shoulder pads and do you wear a race suit?
  9. What count's as skinny. I'm 6ft and 87-88kg, will probs get to about 90kg tops. I'd be happy with a 4pt for simplicity but everyone has been on me about "submarining". I'd likely use the factory mount points for the waist straps. You've seen my seat on the cage thread Velo Podium V1
  10. I'd considered the load on the boys... No HANS device for me, I don't have the helmet for it and won't be doing any hardcore racing etc in this car. I hadn't considered running as a 4 point, could you not just run the crutch straps looser if you wanted some movement? Do you have an example of a harness that has the option to remove the lower straps?
  11. Further to me buying a cage, it's time to get a harness. My question really centres around whether it's better to get a 5 point or 6 point harness and the mounting of both. With a 6 point does it/can it use a single mount point under the seat or does it need 2? (I understand it needs to go just back from the chest line). Further to that, I'll be making a new seat frame to get my seat lower for helmet clearance and wondered if I can integrate mounts into the seat frame (a cross bar between the two sides under the seat) or if should be mounted to plates on the floor pan or something? I'm looking at these two examples which ahve 3inch shoulders are FIA approved and seem to be very popular in the states. http://www.safedrives.com/proddetail.asp?prod=7000 http://www.safedrives.com/proddetail.asp?prod=GF-C7001%2F7101
  12. Physio yesterday, she did some more work on my ankle and measured a few things, there was an improvement in my range already so she seems to have a good handle on whats going on. She swapped out my bum raises TA activation exercise for a kneeling then arm raising one, it is much harder and somehow manages to flog my lower back, she said this is a good sign that my "inner" core strength is not great despite my posterior chain being strong enough. I'm very surprised that not a single person commented on the DL video here or in the main thread given how quick everyone normally is to point out flaws lol Gym tonight.
  13. Can you jump onto NS and respond to that welding question. Help me justify my spruiking. And don't forget to shoot off those invoices.
  14. Well you can get in line, he's go my cage to build first and I stated the thread so I got dibs
  15. Looks the goods. We've already ordered Roy Good thread for Brad, not that he needed the work but he's got 2 cages to build now.
  16. First one on this page? http://www.racequip.com/beltsharnesssystems.html
  17. How about this? http://www.safedrives.com/proddetail.asp?prod=7000
  18. Oh wait NM, that's SFI also. Any good suggestions?
  19. What this Harry? Racer industries has it for $160inc gst plus shipping. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DA515HST-OMP-5-POINT-RACING-HARNESS-3-STRAPS-IN-RED-NEW-MODEL-/330919831794?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d0c5be8f2&_uhb=1
  20. Or this? http://www.gogear.com.au/products/harnesses/ultra-shiled-latch-link/
  21. What do people think of something like this harness wise? http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index.php?PCID=10413&PSO=245&PSID=9193133&PSV=Primary&CDO= I thought at least 5pt for the anti submarine belt.
  22. Fair enough, I've also had them on just to ensure the plates stay close to the centre. Also, what say you about the DL vid of mine above.
  23. That's a good idea, I was using my chest as the point, which it touched, and my lower torso. I'll try the throat test.
  24. Yeah all good, not sure why it suddenly matters to me now, gotten out from under 100kg before so if the moment comes again I'm sure I'll manage. Also, I like having a cage, it's sweet.
