  1. I've seen that with my smaller plates too, where using many gives a small variance. My big plates are fine though. I'm not fussed by it though, the percentages are usually very small and given I don't compete the numbers are only for comparison against myself. If you had 100kg on the bar and it really weighs 97 or 104 it doesn't mean jack. If you get stronger and put 5 more kg on the bar, whether that 5 is 4.5 or 5.5 doesn't really matter for your casual lifter, it's still more than it was and you are gaining. If you're a comp lifter, completely different story though. Plus I could care less f if someone else says they lift x and it's really y, I'm only concerned about my own results. I can see how it would be annoying for highly competitive people if your mate says he can lift way more than you but his weights are shit and inaccurate. 20% on 20kg is a laugh, I need some of those to feel tough lol
  2. I can only go of my digital scales, close enough for a non competitive low weight lifter
  3. Yeah I've heard that sort of thing before too. I didnt need any new weights and have weighed all my current plates before just incase.
  4. LoL me too. It weighs a tiny smidge over 8kg. I got it from world fitness, same place as the York bench. It was about $50. If its not good ill get a refund and something better, if it survives the warranty period then I got what I paid for I guess.
  5. Yeah the business that sold it to me said it's normal and won't affect the bar so all good. Guess I better get squatting...
  6. Mazda dealer wants big dollars unpainted. Got the question up on the Mazda forums too.
  7. I've already emailed them
  8. I see you edited your post. Sedan and wagon won't fit, the sport wagon one might, I'm not sure if that's what they call a hatch? I need it by the weekend after next so yahoo auctions might be out.
  9. Looking at it now I'm thinking they are pretty superficial. This is the sort of thing I'm talking about, there are more but these ones stand out. as you can see not big, just don't want it to be a sign of things to come.
  10. I'll give them a go Monday when I can do so in private, thanks Terry.
  11. Completed everything last night without issue, looking forward to getting the rack so I can get some more weight into some things. Managed to cram 11.5kg into my pockets for bench dips lol Had a go with the roller last night after looking at some clips on how to target the SIJ, it does target them but I can't say I feel any different today, I'm going to have another go shortly as my back is a bit sore/stiff with some referred discomfort down the back of my left leg. I think I have the muscle worked out that the physio wanted me to learn to activate again and have been trying to do so while exercising, definitely a different core stabilising feeling. Built my bench this morning, pretty happy with it. I'll take some glory photos when the rack is here with all my new gear.
  12. I've phoned a bunch of wreckers in Sydney and Melbourne without success so hoping someone on SAU can point me in the right direction. After a rear spoiler for a 2008 GH series 1 Mazda6 5dr hatch (not a wagon). Preferably in Stormy Blue colour code 35J. The missus loves her car but always wished she got one with a rear spoiler so I'd like to surprise her as it's something she wouldn't buy herself (frivolous car expense). Cheers
  13. My new bar and bench turned up, will assemble bench today but it doesn't look too bad. I noticed the bar has a few marks/chips around the where the collars would sit up against if they were screwed up all the way, though they were not sitting there during transport that I can see. Small marks and seemingly fairly superficial, can anyone think of why this would be an issue? Maybe greater chance of rust or something? Trying to decide if it's worth pursuing.
  14. Just received my foam roller, it's huge. I think I underestimated the 15cm diameter. Hopefully it's not "too" big so to speak in that I can't target my back spots properly but I guess that's just learning to use it. This is the one. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/350586113300?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  15. Yeah I've got one of those, and another one with a star shaped insert at the top, they both mix very differently and I found water/milk was also a factor. I'll probably try it I run out of this, I'm not competitive lifter so if I can get all the protein with a touch more fat and a few more chunks for a stack less it could be a good thing. Looking forward to all my new junk arriving.
  16. I tried some Craze once and I will not deny it worked as expected, but the buzz is very unnatural and lasted well beyond the session (and that was only a half scoop) I didn't get to slepe until 2... I just have a banana instead.
  17. Yeah the Dymatize products do taste good and mix well. How were you mixing the BN and with what? I've got a few different shakers with different inserts that have different levels of mixing power so to speak. I also find some mix better with milk than water or vice versa. I guess the question is just as much about WPC vs WPI as it is about those two specific products so if there's another WPC that's worth considering let me know as the WPC is a lot cheaper on average. Sorry for any typos, typing on the phone with cold fingers while walking the dog.
  18. For everyone else, given WPC is a fair bit cheaper than WPI, any reason not to consider it if all I'm using it for is post work out to aid in better recovery. I'm comparing this. http://www.bulknutrients.com.au/buy/wpc-flavoured-5kg/WPC05KGF Which looks great value. To my current product, which is this. http://www.dymatize.com/products/protein/88/elite-whey-protein/ And the BN WP is FAR cheaper per KG, though I realise it's less filtered. Will it make that much of a difference?
  19. What are shipping costs like? As an example, the creatine I got was $5 more expensive else where but no shipping costs, same for my bulk WPI box, 4.5kg, $5 dearer at aminoz but no shipping cost (or already rolled in). and you get reward points at Aminoz tp spend on the next purchase, negating the $5 difference in many cases. EDIT: just saw this - http://www.proteinking.com.au/Delivery-Info I'm better off else where, may be different for your products though. You also score bonus junk if that matters at Amino, shakers, tape measures etc, random junk but it's free so who cares.
  20. No idea, I use a combo of http://www.aminoz.com.au/ and ebay. Feel free to refer me on Aminoz, you get reward points etc.
  21. Never leave lol Canberra I see, explains everything.
  22. I'll keep that in mind if we're hiring and you apply lol
