Turbo Had only been on the car for on track day, around 200k's. Unfortunately it doesn't suit my engine setup, being a RB26 with cams, better suited to a stock RB25, 1JZ or even SR20 It comes with pretty much all the stuff it did from Kando, apart from the exhaust vband, its welded to my dump pipe now. As you can see in the pictures, it has a 90 degree aluminium bend welded to the compressor cover, which is also of the anti-surge breed. There is nothing wrong with the turbo at all, it worked well, but the exhaust is just too small for my engine, it made around 270kw at 18-20psi on 98 Price: $700 plus freight Please either PM me or send me an email, [email protected]

I'm in Victoria, Hypergear is in too melb isnt he? I'll be able to go see him first, that way i might use a little less time playing on the dyno. FROSTY, I was a bit disappointed when we tuned it, though its not so much about how much power it made as when and how its making it, very early and seems to run out of legs at high revs, let alone the heat issue.

Not giving up yet, i wanna get back on the dyno and have a little more of a play, but i dont think that will change when the turbo spools up and starts running out of legs.

I don't think my timing was any lower than 10. Pretty certain it was all higher than 10 We didn't completely reset the boost. Lowered it too around 14psi and went from there. I blew the gearbox on the weekend so once I get it back together, next year, we'll put it back on the dyno to check it again before I buy another 3540 and sell the Kando.

When you say low timing to you mean advanced or retarded? The car had around 40-50 on the knock. Nothing drastic.

Nah, its a 25 with 26 rods, crank and pistons, also running poncams.

No cat, does have a straight through muffler and a res though, The AFR's were a little rich on the dyno, not heaps just a little to be safe, from memory they were around low 12's high 11's i think. I'm pretty tired from the weekend, i could be wrong i will check later today gonna go see my tuner.

My car blows fireballs the size of a car so i dont think its running lean, I backed the boost off to around 16psi from 22 to control the heat, it was stupid hot at winton this weekend. It did make a difference, as it should.

Thanks for the pics guys, my housing looks pretty dam close to the ones in the pics, so i think it may be a 10cm What in the tune can cause so much heat??? I dont mean to sound like a smart ass there, i honestly dont know ARTZ, i dont think so, i dialed the cams in when i assembled the engine and they are within 1/2 degree of the factory settings.

We have the car on track today and my exhaust temps are through the roof. Melting the tar on the floor inside and the carpet and the mat on the carpet. So guessing the housing is way too small. Andy, Do you have any pics of your 10cm housing for me to compare to mine please

Thanks bling. Its not that the T67 is bad, it just seems that it is choking the engine. Super early spool and a drop off at high revs. I sent a message to Kando too. He says he doesn't have a 12cm for the T67. So it looks like I'm sticking with what I've got for a while anyway, at least till have money for another turbo at some point.

Msports.. is you car running a 25?? if it is that would explain the laginess, but the hp figure is very close to mine, maybe it is as much as its gonna make on pump fuel. I aint no photograher. haha. Here s the dyno chart, tuner says to mention that he uses a really soft ramp rate, Dyno Dynamics dyno at 100 ramp. Ps sorry bout the size, thats how it was emailed to me.

Finally here is a couple of pics of my turbo housing, i think it is a 10cm but it is just too small for my 25/26 with cams. We ended up getting 275RWKW out of it at 20psi on BP ultimate. It spools up to full song at 3500 and starts to drop off around 6000. It is very good to drive but we were pretty disappointed at the power output. Simon, i suggest waiting to see how i go before getting the T67.

around 3500, the 3540 was more like 4500

3540 shaft snapped in half and the Kando cost less than just a core for the garrett. essencially the same engine apart from new injectors, rochester 1000's and a the T67, it is spooling up heaps earlier than the 3540, around 1000-1500 rpm earlier which makes me think its the housing.

I need some help guys. How do I tell what size exhaust housing I have? We've just tuned my car with a t67 on it, and it only made 260KW at the wheels on 20psi and it is dropping off boost at high revs, the engine us a 25 with 26 internals and pon Cams which obviously made 350KW with a 3540 on 22psi. The exhaust housing looks really small. It was meat to be a 10cm but now we are doubting that very much
