  5. The new G6E Turbo is another force to be reckoned with, the luxury spec that goes a stink (Jemerm C. word ). Wheels Magazine managed to get the following results. 0-100km/h: 5.0 seconds 0-400metres: 13.3 seconds
  6. The question.. would you rather go Falcon or Commodore? Falcons offer more refinement, superior handling, more performance and better fuel economy. FG Falcon on the Blue corner.. VE Bommodore on the Red corner. These are just the base models.. but lets see which has the overall superiority over the other. Btw, FG is Australias first 5 star safety rated car. Ford Falcon XT Price: $36,490 plus on-road costs Engine: 4.0-litre inline six-cylinder Power: 195kW at 6000rpm (202kw with 98 ron) Torque: 391Nm at 3250rpm Fuel consumption: 10.3 litres/100km (10.0 with 95 ron) CO2 emissions: XXX g/km Transmission: Five-speed automatic (six-speed ZF automatic is optional) 0-100km/h*: 7.4 seconds 0-400m*: 15.2 seconds at 147km/h Safety: Dual front airbags, head-protecting seat-mounted side airbags in the front seats, stability control. Curtain airbags are a $300 option. Commodore Omega Price: $36,790 plus on-road costs Engine: 3.6-litre V6 <-- LOL .4 less capacity yet still inferior in economy Power: 180kW at 6000rpm Torque: 330Nm at 2600rpm Fuel consumption: 11.2 litres/100km CO2 emissions: 256g/km Transmission: Four-speed automatic <-- ROFL! 0-100km/h*: 9.5 seconds <-- LMAO! 0-400m*: 16.8 seconds at 138km/h <-- LOLWUT Safety: Front, side and curtain airbags and stability control are standard. Rear parking sensors optional.
  7. CarAdvice's review on Manuel XR6 Turbo, new Launch Control feature A better shot of the interior
  8. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to Placed my oder from play-asia
  9. Sad to hear that mate, but i thought Skylines fuel tank were made from plasticish materials? Or maybe that was introduced on R33's. on another note, NEVER EVER try to weld a fuel tank or barrel or perhaps even a little can as it maybe explode in your face. There are still traces of fuel on the metal even if its dried. My father was a welder and has worked in the field when he was young, hearing him tell me stories of oil/fuel barrels exploding when welding freaks me out, some of his co-workers lost parts of their bodies.
  10. That's why you can always opt for the Premium Sports package that comes with momo steering wheel and gear knob, leather seats, 250w 8 speaker audio, colour Human Machine Interface thingy in the center, ipod integration and bluetooth. By mid year im thinking of placing my order in ego or vixen color Yes that might be the case even though GTS being a premium $80k HSV model, twice the price of a XR6 T.. but im pretty optimistic on FPV F6 giving the GTS a great spanking for its money with a $20k less price tag Fear the Ford & FPV with their inline six turbos
  11. A XT Falcon has a fuel consumption of a 10.1 litres every 100km's. A XR6 Turbo is 11.1 litres .... and VE Commodore sucks up 11.3 litres for evert 100km's. In conclusion, a XR6 Turbo drinks pretty much the same as your ordinary VE Commodore Executive. Both the FG and VE weigh the same at 1700kg's, FG being roughly 50kg's lighter
  12. The BA design lasted 6 years from 2002 - 2008, its long enough dont you think? Besides, Australian manufacturers don't have the luxury to pour millions on a new design every couple years. As for your Jap cars.. it changes shape every four years R32: 1889 - 1993 R33: 1993 - 1997 R34: 1998 - 2002
  13. I've seen a couple fg xr's on the road and they appear some what smaller than BA/BF's.. also from what I have read, tracks for both front and rear were widened. Ford Aus promises this car to be the best handling Aussie built car to date.
  14. As of today, Journalists will be wiriting up the new FG line up.. I got these figures from drive.com.au for the xr6t 0-100km/h: 5.1 seconds 0-400m: 13.4 seconds Top speed after 400m: 172km/h From the article: Since the FPV F6 is expected to come with a 310kw figure, expect the 0-100 acceleration time be in 4 seconds and quarter mile in on mid to high 12 seconds http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleD...;vf=12&pg=2
  15. Ive seen couple ppl mention Play-asia.com in here.. how are they? Has anybody bought anything from there before? Are they reliable?

  22. Damn, i hate the police even more now. I've only encountered few decent officer in my life and the rest just seemed to be arrogant assholes, carrying a head up the ass attitude.. Hate to generalize but can't avoid it at times, so its better to avoid them at all costs.. A general question. If one was to take off quick at the lights without any wheel spin but remained to stick to the speed limit (say 90-100 on a highway).. would the driver be committing any sort of driving offense?
