What i don't seem to understand is, a base model GT Premium costs $27k in US (say AUS $30k) brand new.. that is considered to have a relatively farken bargain price tag here in Oz. By the time we one ships down to Aus, it's triple the price? Had a look at mustangmotorsport.com.au (a company who imports mustangs) and the median figure is at $80k for a second hand car, WTF?

The new Mustangs are appearing in some interesting movies & tv shows as of lately, like: - Transformers 2007 (movie) - Knight Rider (tv coming out this year on NBC, me cant wait) - Bullitt (new movie is set to be released this year, prob a remake on the old? ) It's a real pitty we can't buy this car here, especially when $AUS dollar is on par with $US NBC's new knight rider 30 second teaser: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HguYIq_cfd8 NBC's Knight Rider (2008) Teaser - COMING FEBRUARY 17th!!! - Click Here for video: The Cars to be used in Knight Rider: Transformers; Knight Rider 2008 Bullitt;

Look on the bright side. If the other side has insurance you should be receiving a nice pay out for the written off car.. Glad no one was injured.

If you're running some heavy electronic gear subs/amps etc.. I'd suggest a dry cell battery, the yellow tops.

Will it come down here? Love that v10 sound.. resembles a F1

As far as i know, VW's and Audi's that are manufactured in Mexico are the only ones destined for the North & South American market. Australia receives all its shipments from EU (European Union) Germany.

This isn't European but in fact a Australian engineered and designed car, which also is something else to consider. the new gen will be seen on roads in couple months time, will see how it pans out. I've read that Ford will be keeping the xr6t line even when geelong plant shuts down and the importation of alloy v6's begin in 2010, a twin turbo xr6t coupled with a 6 speed german built auto box sure does sound inciting The new v6 is listed in Wards 10 best engines 2007 - http://wardsautoworld.com/ar/auto_wards_best_engines_12/

Interesting video A review of Bmw 3 series coupe against a V36 Skyline

Lexus managed to grab the title for once and good on them, however, do you notice the cars over all design, how simple and plain it looks. You would never come across a Mercedes as plain as that Lexus The World Car of the year runner ups, all Euro brands. Lexus LS 460 (winner) MINI (finalist) Audi TT (finalist) Audi Q7 BMW Z4 Coupe / Roadster Citroën C4 Picasso Citroën C6 Fiat Grande Punto Fiat Sedici / Suzuki SX4 Jaguar XK Mercedes CL

Oh God, this thread has totally derailed I'll give credit where it's due, my current Skyline has never let me down and even to this day, it still retains its 150 compression rate which isn't too bad for a 10 year old that has gone through some "fangs" over the years since imported but I'm the kind of person that takes care of his ride. Overall a great car with a good built quality.. For it's price range and manufacturing year, it is undoubtedly a bang for your buck car and there isn't any other car out there that provides the same power and characteristics (coupe) of what i have now.. but i think its time to move on and explore new horizons. The current Japanese cars doesn't really meet any of my criteria, frankly, they lack in over all design and appeal. Any one who thinks a base model Series 3 with a price tag of $65k is a poor mans car has got to be fooling them selves. The series 3 make up almost 50% of BMW's overall car sales as the car is medium compact and meets buyers needs, you can't deny its sex appeal, especially the new shapes. Some of you seem to love your Jap cars so much that you don't look for anything other than a Japanese brand, i call this ignorance.. if your Japanese cars were so great in engineering, would any one care to enlighten me why the Japs never seem to win any awards in engineering and design but it's always the Euros that take the crown over and over again every year? Japs are only good at taking (copying) other manufacturers (namely euro brands) certain engineering elements and implementing them on their cars, providing these reverse engineered products at a cheaper rate. Just a heads up, the new 3 series no longer come with a 318.. the 2005+ model engine range from 320 (4 cylinder) to 335 (6 cylinder twin turbo).. I was looking into V35's but truth to be told, the cars design is fkn shit.

Wholeheartley agreed. I don't own any prestige car at the moment but I am hoping to buy a 2006+ Bmw series 3 by end of this year fingers crossed. For the amount I'm going to spend, i could perhaps own a evo x as i believe jap cars do have the sheer grunt and power, no one can dispute that but end of the day, they severely lack in class and looks. I am beginning to notice more Audi, Merc and Bmw's in Melbourne's inner cbd and it's surrounding vicinity.. This city is slowly but surely transforming into a high class city, after all, it is Australias fashion capital. My friends live in areas where every 2nd car parked in the drive way is a German built car and when i go out for coffees or dinners in these areas, i do feel like a major hoon in my Skyline even though my car is fairly moderately modified. I think the Bmw's new 3 series look great with its smooth curves.

Who else is feeling the same symptoms? They just don't seem to have that "classy" or "elegant" touch in them, no matter what car or what brand, it's still a Jap car end of the day. When driving around in Melbourne's higher class suburbia, you feel like a foreigner in your Jap vehicle. Got to love this new 3 series coupe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jDhQPh2D40

Another good one is a Lotus Esprit

Beautiful machine man.. To the fool who refers to this unique car as rubbish needs to wash his mouth with a bar of soap and smack some sense in to him self. It was produced in North Ireland, some had a V6 Twin Turbo.

All Sold, Sorry Guys
Flynnn replied to Taso84's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
So you actually seen this car some where around Oakleigh or Clayton right? I believe this car is indeed stolen and when i went to have a look at it, it looked very sus to me as well. I've actually seen this car twice now, first seen it some where around Preston and today seen the same car three months later at some ones house in East Keilor. The first time I've seen it, there these two little kids, they seemed like they were 17-18 year old kids (two of them), barely legal enough to drive a car let alone drift it..... when i contacted them to pick the parts up, they arranged a meeting at a train station since they weren't willing to meet at the location of where the car was parked at. When i got to the train station, they tell me the car is at their grand mothers house, in her garage.. I was willing to go, so i followed them to their supposed "grandmothers" house which was located in Preston or there abouts. We arrive to the house, but at a first glance i could tell no one was living in this residency, it was a abandoned old house with a garage at the back and the car was located there in a miserable condition.. Inside the garage, there were some couches and PAINT CANS, with graffiti over the walls.. I went to check out another part from another different login today, and what do i see? The same car in a front yard in East Keilor with a different face claiming to have ownership of this car. So the car travels from Oakleigh to Preston and now ends up on East Keilor... THIS CAR IS 100% STOLEN and all these guys know each other. The guy who is currently keeping the car goes by the login name of " SXC_R33 " on this very forum and he is continuing to sell this cars parts. Check out this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...67#entry3517567 I hope these punks get busted with a permanet criminal record.. -

Rubbish. Lancia 4WD was introduced roughly the same time around when Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth got into production, both turbocharged. Dick Johnson with his Sierra was leading the bathurst, ahead of Mark Skaife in his Nissan GTR, despite the fact that Sierra is a mere 4 cylinder and the GTR obviously with a RB26.

... of Ford Escort Cosworth and the legendary Ford Sierra RS... Subaru and Mitsubishi are so smart that they build a worthy imitation nearly as good as the cosworths 20 yrs later British Engineering at its best

Gt5 Prologue.. Is this the full version? Coz 5 tracks with only handful of cars listed above doesn't seem enough to be a full version. Is this the GT5 we had been waiting for months?

as the topic suggests, i'm thinking of replaceing my series 1.5 R33 with this steering wheel. Is it possible? Would the holes/bolts/nuts on this S15 have the same pattern/design as a R33 one?

Looking into purchasing adjustable coilovers for my ECR33.. but... i would much prefer to purchase something that is street drive worthy and most importantly it needs to be comfortable without rocking the car too much over little humps/holes. I was considering Tein Super Streets? any others?

I can't really make up my mind between those pictured TC105N's above or these different sets i found later on. If i have to go for TC105N's (as pictured above) i would need to get them both front and rear 9.5" with a +10 offset. If i go for 8.5" with a 32" offset, they have a different face called FACE:R and it doesn't look like the one above. I really need to know if 9.5" would fit in 33's, don't mind if it rubs innder guards on full lock as I'll try to avoide sharp u-turns most of the times.

Thanks James, much appreciated.
