Everyone knows tht the stock IC on an R33 gives about 6psi drop over 15psi equalling about 21psi of course the IC is saturated and causing a huge pressure drop and heat increase but we are talking about other variables here.......none of this is extra ordinary :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
  7. wot r u refering to? Too much timing u say? u say he runs standard? Skys ecu is tuned for 100ron and u think that RON98 is really 98 points? Not as far as people tell me its not! So hes pinging either like he said, cooler not being efficient, a little bit too much timing in the higher revs, plugs not gapped properly causing combustion chamber to preignite because of the large gap that the coil has to generate a spark.....and more..

  10. Hey just because you detonate doesnt mean its your intercooler, there are so many different variables here....But u would assume its because of the heat of the inlet air! If you retarded your timing slightly it may stop or even gap your plags a little bit closer again

  13. Ive run my best times with no BOV Will put one back on once i fix some problems associating it, I dont get any lag..at all! Just puts a little extra pressure on the turbo between gear changes and sounds a little poofy! Rev i think you need to do a few mid 13s to back up most of the how to do a 13.5 bla bla with stock bla blas, or maybe im just Jealous I should be ready for a squirt next wednesday at kwinana for steady high 12s

    crank the boost up? Or you worried on the street it will go even higher... your cars good for 20+++ PSI why are you limiting to 17?

    Killer that maybe because you maybe on the border of needing an external wastegategate. If you tramp it boost doesnt rise as quickly so you keep your dialed pressure...on the street u usually take off slower then tramp it giving more time for boost to bleed high as u go thru gears.... This is what happens to mine altho it bleeds to about .9bar not sure if it is your problem or not.... It cant be electronic, if u dial in 1.1 then you should get 1.1 no matter if it is street or strip its still the same kinda road... A little birdy told me you snuck in a Z32 AFM and Adj fuel reg... Another dynotune and hp reading maybe?? do tell.. GTS-t VSPEC have you any decent input into this technical conversation?

    I should give you a fatboy sticker...haha U would never need to change your CAS that would put your whole curve out Paul, u just need to up or down the timing at certain points in the map, Set a base timing of 15 degrees and then in the rev ranges u can run as much timing as you like! Ud only change it if your Base timing varied from you 15degrees.. I could get back about 25hp from my 13Degrees to 18Degrees but i need to retard the top end.....cause thats where it pings, around 6000rpm

    JimiH ive been to 2 tuners and they both didnt hear pinging..... No microphones just the one on the side of your head Paul. A guy who was on the buffer yelled out turn it off its pinging......he was across the room! Retarded it more......sweet...... Got home......cooler being night...good fuel.....pinging! There goes my 296 horsepower..retard it by ear and now she runs sweet, no midrange but it is safer for me..
