wat a stupid question. need i say more? im sure ud all agree there is no biased decision here..... -
mate u wont notice jack shit.....ive used more then 10 diff types of pods. the only diff is sound. atm im using a massive 4" stainless steel pod...which obviously sucks alot more then your standard 3".... basicly the bigger the pod and the intake pipe....the better.....filteration is important but how the hell are u gonna test or see the results of that shit? if you want power get a cold air intake system.....a proper one. if you want noise? dont have a pod, get a stainless steel pipe....and leave it open if you want a good balance.....dont buy apexi, for the amount u pay you could honestly go to autobarn and get something that does the same shit. like above 3A are supposely the best of the best. but who knows honestly wat ever you do, wen running mroe then 1bar of boost, always replace your rubber intake cuz it sucks itself closed. my 2c btw this is a oldie but thought some of you might wanna have a look http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

before anyone starts dissing this flamin mongrel i rkn his asking a legit question....so i hope mods give out warns accordingly. to answer your question, unfortunately you cant adjust what level the bov will open with the factory setup. if you want that lesure u need to get a aftermarket BOV. but then it wont flutter as loudly, and like u said can get defects. if you get a legal aftermarket BOV, you wont get flutter because it redirecting the air back into your intake. if your cars mostly factory then its fine to just block off your current bov with some aluminum casing from coke cans or something. just got out wat you need and put it inbetween your bov and your throttle body. heres also a old pic of my engine when i put my 1st bov on. i know its not factory but its the same shit. hope it makes some sense. personaly on my car ive notice it to be a bit more responsive when blocking my bov off because i always suspected the factory bov to leak under high boost. so this is a great way to fix it on the other hand....... alot of people on here will tell you its bad for your turbo, its bad for ur engine this and that. unfortuantely there isnt any proof that its real. theres 8second cars out there running no BOV at all, and are yet to even have the smallest engine problem. but some ppl do and they blame it on blocking there bov..... my advice is.......its a good way not to get dicked by the cops, and have at least some sort of decent noise when backing off. i dont care wat anyone says its 10x better then the lame "woosh" that factory BOVs have. alot of ppl here really have a anti-flutter attitude and i guess u gotta expect it if ur gonna follow this path. if u need more in detail let me know.

your makn all of us younger model cars feel a bit out of place here =D

tru tru.......but ive only got 9months left till my fulls and im yet to even get a speeding fine sometimes i wonder if i should of bought a 300c =[

congrats, just make sure we dont see u on a current affair or anything anytime soon lol

yeh i agree, trust are very quiet. have u ever tested it with a db metre? which kaki is the importent question. if itsa 6 year old exhaust theres not much point in lookn at it. just like the old HKS dragger systems
-
' are u serious? u must be talkn about some diff type of kakimoto because the only ones on sale atm are the mega n1 and the Regu 06 & R. and both are 3.5" exhausts with a 6 or 7" tip. that thing is a monster. i still rkn HKS silent sounds like a girl......dosnt have that note i like. the HKS Hi POwer is another story, very very nice exhaust BUT is in mild steel which we all know isnt that great compared to stainless. ive got the Blitz Nur system on my car.......ill get a good recording up on youtube to let u know how it sounds. i honestly rkn its better then any exhaust ive heard. the kit comes with a silencer and is very quiet wen put in.....makes it sound like a HKS silent system.....which i hate...... just youtube it ppl, youll get a general idea of wat each exhaust sounds like.
-
wtf just read this. mofos are tryna cockbock us
-
im sure it would make a bigger difference if you fed it cold air rather then sucking in hot engine heat. just like any intake system.
-
yes you will need a 4door specific ehxaust system, or ull have to get one custom made. the trust is a pussy exhaust, sounds like a girl IMHO. its also a 80mm exhaust with a 115mmtip the HKS on the otherhand is okai exhaust, my only problem with it is that it sounds like a wet fart on accell. and isnt very aggresive both exhaust are really quiet and sound "so-so" on boost. hks is also slightly bigger in diameter compared to the trust. with a 85mm system and a 120mm tip. i highly recommend a Blitz Nur Spec exhaust system. because it honestly sounds alot better then the rest more aggresive but is alot louder (positive or negatice you be the judge). catco cats are great and you can get them from batmbl and he does great prices. his front/dump pipes are awsome and are 3". by getting a 3" catco cat and any of the above catbacks youll work wonders. but like i said i wouldnt pick either the trust or hks catbacks due tot he fact that they both sounds weak. but alot of ppl swear by them so you can be the judge. HKS = TRUST = BLITZ = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u1o04qCdKw i have no idea if they are turbo back systems or not, but obviously if they were they would be even louder. any issues buddy shoot just holla.

i dont understand why ppl take there cars up to the "mountains" or on grass paddocks or anything stupid like that. unless you have a tracker or something similar you should be sticking to more modern areas. eg. factories, underground carparks, bridges ect ect.
