im with you on the 6boost thing. i dont really think its the manifold either. all i said is i wasnt sure about the exhaust....as in i dont know if it is....because we were testing the gate issue at the time... never said i wouldnt do it.... the gate is atmo, its not connected back into the exhaust. the gates been removed which means it shouldnt make any boost. but it is, which means theres pressure being made by the manifold. because it cant be anything after the gate....cuz there is nothing.... which means theres something wrong with the manifold...... of course this is only theoretical....and it makes sense rather then taking off the exhaust....and seeing wat happens
-
yeh i dunno, things just never go right -___-" gonna give kyle a call tm to see wat he thinks
-
found the issue. droped the gate off and its still causing creep. the manifold isnt flowing enough air to the gate so thats why its creeping. very hard to believe being a 6boost manifold..... only solution atm is possibly redesigning the manifold.

using the apexi avcr. not sure about how many vac lines im using but ill get back to u. ill run the exhaust thing by the tuner....
-
gate is 100% connected correnty. one of the 1st things we done. not so sure about taking off the exhaust. wouldnt that cause spike and not creep? the cars currently on a dyno as we speak...... we are dc-ing the gate atm to test that theory......if we dc the gate it should make no boost right? we plannin to run 20psi for a start.....not sure how high we willl go
-
boost in increasing...just keeps gettn higher and higher. we set it at .9bar (gate spring) and it will go as far as 22psi
-
hows it going guys. cars finally doing the final tune, but we are having massive boost isssues. the car is making over 300rwkw at 4000rpm but just cannot hold boost. set boost off so it runs off the gate (.9 bar) and it just keeps climbing. heres the current setup 3.0L gt3540 .82 housing 44mm tial gate with .9bar spring exhaust 3.5" to cat then 3" all the way ive started a thread in the main FI area. any help in here is greately appreciated aswell. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Hu...ep-t215455.html 44mm gate is big enough right? we are currently in the mist of dc the gate to find out if it will make any boost. if it dosnt then the gate is fine. some ppl think it might be the dump pipe being to big? (3.5" to cat then 3" all the way) lastly it might be a faulty manifold? any help appreciated
-
current setup is 3.0L 3.5inch dump to cat then 3" all the way 44mm tial gate with .9bar spring 6boost manifold GT35/40 .82 housing the car just cannot hold boost. its making 300rwkw at 4000rpm and just keeps going because it cant hold the boost. wanted to ask the gurus out there wat are the main causes? 44mm gate cant possibly be to small? Dump to big? faulty manifold? trying to dc the gate, so it shouldnt make any boost. which will rule out the gate theory..... was wondering if anyone had any other ideas? *******************UPDATE********************** blue = with gate red = without gate its defiently the manifold. it just cant flow enough air. next step is possibly redesigning the manifold to have 2 outlets merging into one or getting a new one. or a bigger housing like mentioned above which i doubt will help due to the manifold. on a positive note.....quite responsive as u can see lol

f**kKKK I MISSED MY OWN REMINDER

4doors are gettn quite popular......

i must say ive grown much respect for the surpra....but id still pick the GTR....wats power if you cant use it =D

wat other mods do u have?
-
have u ever fitted LEDs to your car before? because they are all like that. you jsut have to pull the thing off.....and stick a LED in there. but dont do it until someone confirms its actually a T10
-
u bloody legend..... can u confirm 100% wat kind of bulb it is....then bug dan666 to get it for us lol

i read his 1st initila post...didnt mention anything but buying a 32-33 and using it mainly for a daily with a lil bit of track. has a xr6t.... didnt read anything else. if youve got a excel atm aswell...then thats fair enough. and you like the r32 shape so like i said above, thats more then enough i guess to go thee 32 root. on a typically average modded skyline you lookn at around 350-400kms per tank. depends on ur right foot mostly though =] lol sorry......bad choice of words........wat i ment to say was if i ever wanted to get rid of the falcon for something else.....i would go GTR or supra. roy is it? thats quite surprising u can go around a track alot faster then Matts car, especially it being internally standard....quite curious do u mind directing me to some more in depth specs of your car? it cant be pushing more then 250rwkw......or is it? but come on roy.....be honest here.....you really think the rb20 is any better then its successors? you might be able to beat rays s15 or matts r34....but if i gave u a r33 or a r34.....im sure ull be even better. maybe ur driving style is just uber compared to matt/ray. (speculation only) no offence at all roy but no matter wat u say ill pick a rb25 anyday. uve impressed me as far as how far you can push yours. but its proberly the only 1 out of a million that might be worthy of praise...... have u ever considered droppn a rb25 into your car at all? okai okai......maybe its not as "rubbish" as wat others or myself make it out to be. but its defiently not as good as the 25
-
as above....get black rims...and a black boot aswell and it will look shit hot.
-
why on earth would u replace just the cat? thats just stupid? your doing a half ass job, why not do the whole exhaust. if it is a turbo back exhaust the only reason that i can think of as to why it might feel not as powerful is the power is alot smoother in delivery rather then a light switch on/off situation. for example\ by 3,00rpm you might be makn only 80kw with the standard cat and only 60kw with the bigger cat. but at 4,000rpm your makn 90kw but with the bigger cat your at 120kw. but basicly who ever told u your losing power by gettn a bigger exhaust is a MORON im very very very sure you got more power, it justs just proberly bringing the power on smoother....... best way to find out is dyno it

Advantages Of 100mm And 70mm Intercooler?
R34NRG replied to Styline GTR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
exactly...... i think 100mm compared to 60mm will introduce lag, but the big question is it enough lag to worry about when you have 10x more air flowing in making more power. honestly i dont even think u can put a number on how much lag it will be.....maybe .5 of a second? not even? wont even notice -
just saw the commercial, assumed it was from down here. dosnt make a diff though, its being aired here in aust, and everyones gonna see it lol.

i dont see in any why u would pick a r32 over a r33 let alone a XR6T. unless it was purely to save fuel (which honestly would still not be worth the disappointment when u plant ur foot and go nowhere. its faster its stronger more reliable newer better lookn (debatable, i love the gtrs but GTST bonnets shit me) need i say more? u also mentioned the r33s being more expensive to run. that might be true to some extent but i would feel sorry for u buddy if u bought a real bad shape 32 which needed all the brakes changed, half the engine rebuilt cuz its that old. id defiently go with something newer and fresher. its not like the r33 is gonna cost u 20k more to run then 32....if u decided to make food rather then buy maccers once a week that would compensate for the difference in running costs for the 33......not even...... and lets not forget your jumping from a XR6T?!?!?!??!!? wats wrong with u? unless you absolutely love the r32 on how it works, do not downgrade so much. ur going from 4.0L turbo t a 2.0L turbo. you will regret it man..... XR6Ts can take down R34s easily...let alone a r32.... and yes with some slight suspension even on the track. sure the 32 is light, but its not THAT light.....dont know why ppl are even mentioning how light it will be for a daily, like it will matter. and for when he does take it to the track, you not gonna be shaving seconds off.......its a daily......and a xr6 has more room, more comfy and will eat any non gtr skyline track or street. basically wat im saying is....unless u have money issues, really really and i mean REALLY love the 32 or your mad.......dont get it...... XR6T>R34GTT>R33GTST>bike>walking>r32GTST honestly.....the only downgrade from a XR6T id do is either for a GTR or a Supra.
-
just saw the commercial involving a silver r32 rolling over and going through 3 houses and killing someone. interesting watch....thought id fill u guys in. more promotion for skylines
-
when u said this guy flicked it off the road...it was alreayd there and they rode over it im assuming? im not sure but isnt that considered his fault?

fans a great but if ur room temp is at 50c its not gonna do that much. honestly try the ice thing, its defiently worth it
