    Pc Problem

    it sounds like its a cooling issue to me its got nothing to do with connections, if its booting up porperly and just shutting down it deifnetly sounds like a cooling issue of some sort. all CPUs these days have a shutdown temp when it reaches extreme heats and GFX cards aswell. try getting a big glass (like the ones at the movies) and chuck a bunch of ice in it and sit it next to your fan that feeds the CPU. (even better take off the side of the case and let it feed maximum air in. although this might be hot air the ice water should help it alot. im 80% sure this will let it run. if it does it means ur computer is overheating and shutting itsself down to prevent more damage. it also explains why u only can get in by safe mode cuz it uses minimum resources. i would try this before u uninstall any drivers u may have.

  4. they are physically different sizes... but to answer your question yes it can be done, if u really wanted u could put Supra Rear lights on. but in saying that it needs to be custom fabricated. but u cant just replace one with the other and do some wirring.....they just wont fit.
  5. putting a vl bottom end in your car would be stroking the engine to 3.0L which is what i done. 10x better then using the standard bottom ends, quicker spool, more power, everything. it comes at a cost though......and a very expensive one at that. if your lookn at just replacing everything, and not building the motor to handle more power. just look around wreckers and on the forums for complete/bottom end motors. should be ablt to get a complete for around 4k and a bottom end for about 1-2k

  8. thanks for the tip, i did mention before. a insurence company refusing to cover your car because it was 10db over the legal noise limit of having a exhaust is a bit arguable due to it not being an influence into the crash. but thats only wat ive heard. ive been totally upfront with my insurer....but just wondering wen the time comes....wats gonna happen. will defiently have to give them a call again and aask
  9. ttrue true true.........very likey that it has something along the lines of that......which i guess is why i made this thread. because although they put it down on my policy, having a aftermarket turbo is illegal due to emissions. and wen i told them i fully forged my engine with a new ecu turbo ect ect. they said okai.....and dat was it. so ill have to dig it up and have a look.

  14. hahahha i swear man there was no house honest...... yeh its always been like that. but back on topic i called up my insurence company, added the turbo, ecu, lines, exhaust, gate, boost controller, 3.0L bottom end, forged internals. didnt cost me anything on the premium.....just 300bux extra on the excess which comes to. Premium = 2700 Excess = 1500 not bad if u consider the shit on my car =D

  18. lol why does everyone still say "look at andrus driving history" i admit ive been in accidents but none were my fault. im yet to even get a speeding fine let alone lose my licence like half of the people here.....but no one gives them shit lol. i guess thats SAU for u. nehoo whats the go with modifications influencing a accident? i heard that if a modification is the result of a accident your not covered either?

  21. the engines finally up and running, and my god it sounds aggresive.....ive gone 3.5 straight pipe and the turbo spool is insanely loud. heres a pic. going in for a final tune on tuesday so will have a dyno chart rdy to go =].

  23. okai CON heres the rundown. you have 2 options. Option 1 is ATMO = atmo just required you to remove "BOV" (see picture below) and replace it with the SSQV, aswell as pluggin the original Vacumm hose(see pic) into the SSQV BOV ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE ADPATER TO SUIT YOUR CAR!!!!! if you dont have the adapter.......welding is required which = more time = more money Option 2 is Plumb Back = same Process as option 1 but you will require a PLumb Back Kit (official term by HKS is called a "Return Nipple") if you have this its pretty much a swap and plug n play. If you dont have the return Nipple and your want your bov to be plumbed back, youll need to modify your exisiting plumb back system to suit the ssqv, which can be a long process. are you in melb con? if u are let us know pop around sometime ill get it fitted for ya. in the above picture, the black hose is a "VACUM HOSE" supplied with your HKS BOV.....it is recommended that you use this one because its newer, but you can use the one thats still on your car =] any questions dont hesitate to ask
  24. wanted to ask others who have highly modified engines, about how they go with insurence. do you notify the company of your aftermarket ecu's turbos ect ect? the rule of thumb is that the car has to be road worthy? (or legal? not sure which one it was) otherwise it voids any claims. so how exactly do 1000hp engines get around wondering if they will be covered if anything happens?
