the amount of air the rb30 can flow over the rb20 is so much its pointless to even compare. theres a r33 2.5L running the exactly same manifold, exact turbo and exhaust housing. almost identical. and it runs fine with a 44mm. but mine wont. just dont understand how it could be to small when Xr6Ts are 4L and run internal gates and have no issue.

meisters and SSR1s only look good with alot of offsett. unfortunately in this case its not happening. not sure if its the wheels or the colour of the car.........but something dosnt look right my 2c -
got a 44mm atm but for some reason (most likely manifold design or something else) is spiking up to 20psi with no gate. a 44MM SHOULD be big enough rite? spoke to kyle he thinks i should upgrade to a 60mm and redesign the manifold. if a 40mm is big enough ill just modify the manifold rather then spending another 800bux on a new gate. HELP PLZZZZZZ

lol sorry buddy i did mean heat soak LOL. i do that sometimes BAHHAHA but how the hell will a SAFC be useful later down the track if his deciding on mroe mods and turbo? i mean sure it will help but pfft if you were going down that part youd kinda learn to plan in advance.....ever play chess? the man with a brain would go a complete engine management. its cheaper in the long run and u and me both know will reward him with more gains. i still stick by my choice of going full turbo back exhaust.......FMIC.....this will give him a base to work on later rather then unpluggin that stupid thing and wasting 500bux. wen he can pick a PFC for 1500 and be more better off. the most he would be able to wind into his turbo is around 12-13psi. and thats on the limit. no chnace hell get anywhere near that with the factory ecu. but he wont need as much boost to make as much power with the FMIC and the exhaust. my 2c but hey...i guess we see diff

eveyrone says a smic is good for 200. and its bullshit. the car might run but it will defiantly suffer from heat stroke....especially on a bad batch of fuel or a exteamlly hot day. i advise against gettn the safc....its useless at this point. a SAFC dosnt give thr car more power, it just unlocks more potential......uses the cars other parts more efficiently. im very very confident if you put 2 cars together one havn a SAFC and one having a full exhaust FMIC and uped boost. it defiantly will produce more. a SAFC is a stupid device anyway. why would u do half the ass job....why not get a complete engine management system. do it once, do it right

how bout gettn a FMIC and help that catback of yours breath a bit better with front/dump pipes. 50kw gain i rkn wdh is a SAFC gonna do if his car cant even breath or cool itself. up the boost to about 12psi with the FMIC and the better flowing exhaust. should bit u around 180-200 if your lucki

yeh ur right buddy in this occasion it wont work, because we've actually taken off the wastegate completely and it was still boosting...so its nothing after the WG...its something before it...which is the manifold or the adapter... hahahahha more jokes from hamish....wheres ur best friend andy.........dickhead

unlikey.......id call just jap to find the type of flange.....and diameters of the cat. then measure it up with u. worse comes to worse the exhaust shop will "make" it fit

im gonna be a man here and ask everyone to keep on topic. as much as i would love to take the piss out of ash like he always does to me. ill take a raincheck.... so just to make it clear to everyone. the car is still causing creep even with the gate off the manifold. stop talking about exhausts cuz its not related. it has to be the manifold. but hang on, its 6boost so it cant possibly be it right? i mean its impossible to imagine maybe there might be something wrong with it because a human made it....right

theres plenty of 350+ cars out there running 3" all the way with no problems. although i do understand the bigger the better. i think 3.5 to 3" is more then enough on this application. and like i said before it shouldnt be related to anything about the exhaust because when the gate is FULLY open its still creeping no shit.......thats wat im saying, there IS a RESTRICTION somewhere which is causing the exhaust wheel to spin moreeeeeeeee and moree and moreee....not just a lil read much ash?

that all makes sense but wat im trying to say is that when the gate does fully open....its still not expelling enough gas in the manifold, which keeps the turbine spinning. which causes boost creep this means a few things manifold isnt gettn gas to the gate or gate isnt lettn enough gas out i dont know why everyones talking about the exhaust...because the cars creeping even wen the gate is fully open WHICH is suppose to let all the gas through the gate and not the bloody exhaust. so taking off the exhaust wont do jack. i got the 44mm cuz everyone said it was big enough. tuners, shops, forum members, everyone. even other ppl using similar setups are using 44mms. are u saying its to small?

if your "playing" boost and havnt tuned it. it might be running rich. get a tune....and it should be fine.

but i dont see how the exhaust even matters if the gate is fully open.....all the air should be passing through the gate and not the exhaust? i can only assume power/torque keeps going cuz ray said he had to back off because boost was reaching points of 20psi+ when we turned the boost control off and using the gate spring of .9bar but ill have to ask and make sure
