Hi all. Just got 4 brand new nismo injectors from my brother. 16600-RRR60. Have a RB25DET s1. I know std a re sidefeed injectors and those nismo are topfeed. But was going to make another fuel rail anyways so not a problem. Question is, are they same resistance as the std RB25 s1. So before buying 2 more, or selling theese I need to know this. Cheers

25 To S13 Conversion Questions
nissan200sx.dk replied to Simon-S14's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I did my conversion using the R33 crossmember, but still made custom mounts. Have about 7cm room behind engine to firewall. This setup made the RB25 gear shifter located in the std position. A slimline fan can then be mounted on cooler, infront of engine. My own fan is not slim, so mounted on other side of cooler. Blowing through it. It still works. -
Hi. Dont want to press on too much, but any update on this? Got my fuel pump for the methanol system today. Thank you very much.
-
Okay... could start out really low, and see how it goes. Thanks. My old CA18 engine made 427hk with the use of methanol injection. It really helped alot. On a different note. Nismo 16600-RRR60 injectors, are they the correct resistance for a RB25DET s1? I know they are top feed, std is side feed. But otherwise. Will be making a different fuel rail anyways.

my methanol system will be pressure activated, and the methanol injector will only follow the duty cycle of one of the normal injectors. So i have a liniar delivery of the methanol. Will first try my own system out. If it dont works, or is to hard to adjust, because of variations I will look into buying a system. I guess i'll set the pressue activation at around 14 psi. That way I still need to be up in revs before the system activates, and still low enough for advanced timing without det. I hope, otherwise i can adjust at which pressure it should activate. I think its more cool to build what you can yourself, try different things. Sometimes it works, sometimes it dont, and it can happen it sometimes says BANG. But its my way of learning... hehe. And is so much more satisfactory when it works, when its homemade. Some say its just a cheap solution, but dont care. I like it.

1 liter 95 here in denmark is ~10.5 Dkr. Thats 2.36 AUD.

Have an idea to hook up the methanol injector. If I use the signal to one of the injectors, hooked it up to a solid state relay, they are REALLY fast, and can handle 10A, the one im looking at. That relay would then drive the methanol injecter. I am looking at this to get a liniar injection on the methanol.... it will follow the duty cycle of the regular injectors. Any thought on this? Adriano: Will get the AF spot on before i'll add the methanol. But 12.8:1??? Its not 100% methanol.. Only about 5 - 10 % that will be methanol, so can I still use such "lean" AF when I add the methanol? R33cruiser: Ehm... Its 30min drive for me to get 98... I only know of 4 places I can get it. A few years back there were alot of places. Dunno why, buts its being removed from market here. We have bio 95... There is a little ethanol in it. I think. And my tune has to be on 95! As its easy to get, and will have the methanol to help with det. Right now I'm still learning to adjust and understand my engine. Have made ALL mods on my car myself, and this is my first car, and have never before messed aruond with cars before this. I know 98 is better, but Im using my car everyday.. So when I tune and deside which fuel I use, that has to be in my consideration. I'll use it everyday. RB30-power. Have NO idea which rating the oct 95 is... Mafia.

Thanks.. Will be working some more on it. Just ordered my fuel pump for the methanol, so i can get that hooked up.

Hi mafia thanks heaps! I do use the std coils, and have had problem with the spark... could the dip be caused by bad coils? Also the mixture is still way rich as you say, will get that sorted. I do get some backfire sometimes up top..

Hi all. Thanks for replys. I am using a apexi FC hooked up with my fc box that is hooked up with a LM1 that is hooked up to my labtop. hehe. oct 98 is only availible a few places here, want to adjust it to using 95. I will be using methanol injection later on, so the 3 in difference wont do that much. its with external wastegate. a no name... Could a electronic boost controller help with a little earlier boost?? it comes on a little slow. Up top my ignition are ~20 mark. Am still learning, so aint so fast to get it sorted all in once. AF values are around low 10. Hk is almost the same as BHP. 1kw = 1.34HK Have an idea to hook up the methanol injector. If I use the signal to one of the injectors, hooked it up to a solid state relay, they are REALLY fast, and can handle 10A, the one im looking at. That relay would then drive the methanol injecter. Hi. Got my s13 - rb25det dyno'ed yesterday. 401.9HK / 528 Nm @ wheels have only begun to play with the ignition, AFR are still a little rich. Turbo is a GT3076r. 0.82 exh trim. @ ~1.25 bar boost. what could the dip in power up top be?? Its a std rb25det bottom end, head is ported and overhauled otherwise std. Using oct 95 fuel

Thanks. have read it.. I'm out for logging today.

Some time ago I read smething about getting the LM1 a little more precise in fc edit program by using some kind of "delta" stuff in some settings. You needed to program the lm1 to send a constant 0v, the fc box should then use that for ground. I think. If I recall correct its only about 0.3 ish in AFR it changes. Can anybody remember anything about this?

Need Some Feedback On Excel Spreadsheet...
nissan200sx.dk replied to nissan200sx.dk's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
just to note - datalogit does this for you in real time with all the data so you dont have to note stuff down etc and interpolate cells with max knocking basically you build a knock map in auto pilot mode and adjust from there huh.. What do you mean by this? Should I lower the max ignition from 4000 rpms and up? My idea is it shouldnt reach the max.... when i reach the level of knock set, it wont advance the timing anymore... Was thinking this could be the most cost effective way to find the limit for how far you can advance the timing... as it will advance the entire map were there is no knock. -

Hi. Am working on a excel spreadsheet to adjust the igniton in FC. To make it easy. It works in the same maner as the excel spreadsheet that adjust the fuel mixture. Any comments on the max ignition map??? should the limit be higher or lower?? Alsao, is it enogh ignition retard according to how much it knocks?? right now, its only the 2 first knock levels that are used to correct the map, will incorporate the rest tomorrow. ignition correction

is there an ignition version of this also?? -
just checked my wiring, as stated in r33 workshop manual. o2 sensor diagram, and checks to do are okay. exhaust gas heater check is also okay... What is the difference in theese 2 by the way?? did both tests at the same o2 plug.... Have tryed 2 different o2 sensors, the one I got with the engine, and the one I got from a spare engine I bought. Could they both be dead? Its a little expensive to try and buy a new one.... and dont know anyone with a R33 here in denmark.
-
the narrowband o2 sensor is the std rb25 sensor... was there when I bought the engine. ;-) hehe. But have tryed changing o2 sensor, and still the same reading... Will have a look on my wiring when I get the time. I use the LM1 hooked up to my FC box to log and adjust.
-
Thanks. in two weeks, i will be changing engine block, at that time I will take complete engine wiring out, and check it. its acting funny.... more seems as a bad connection somewere.

Hi there. Im having a bit of trouble with AF values all over the place. one day its fine, later its really lean, later again its fine. sometimes my AF gauge show somethinig, sometimes it dont. :S Have a LM1, so do know my actual AF. All this are a idle or cruising, when flooring it, or disengaging AF feedback in my PFC its okay... So figured it could be my O2 sensor. Had a spare, so changed it. Checked in my PFC, it shows ~0.12v at idle constant.. only changing a little up and down. ~0.05v. When i started my car, it was up around 0.6v, then steadly lower, still being a little up and down. ~0.6 - 0.3v. then after some minuttes it settled at ~0.12v. ~14.7 A/F on the LM1. What do you recon is the issue. some kind of wiring issue? because of funny way AF gauge is acting, it reads the signal from std o2 sensor... LM1 has its own sensor. What to check? What kind of power goes to the std o2 sensor? can I check at the plug? Have searched around, but can´t find a answer. Thanks.
