had to crank my rb25 for a couple of minuttes before oil pressure... oil filter, oil cooler etc has to fill up first.... Take plugs out to get it cranking faster, together with a fresh battery.
-
hehe. I have about 8cm tube, which contains ~30ml oil, sticks right up of turbo, that has to drain through turbo before it will starve.. Dont know how long it will take. But hopefully nothing has damaged the turbo in the 2 secs engine was of after my burnout. There is no smoke, and still makes same airflow as before, so recon nothing has happend. Know my english sucks sometimes. It can be hard to explain stuff, when I live here in Denmark. Dont talk or write english very often. So i'm sorry if I explained my issue like shit... Will try harder next time.

hehe. That helped alot. Needed to be calmed... I get really nerveus about my car. Trust me, I dont want to hear its buggered.. Skipped my summer vacation to afford this turbo... So no no no, dont want it to be shagged, buggered, busted, damaged or anything. I'm under education, so dont have alot of money.... Want it to be in super mint condition. ..... I wish for a money tree for christmas. .....
-
I dont think so either... Just wanted to be sure. hehe. Would really hate myself if I buggered the turbo because engine stalled.
-
hehe. What is it you dont understand of my english? Its straight forward..... What "basics" do you want to know?
-
Know its not ideal... But it need very little oil to get lubricated.. Hole in oil restrictor is only 0.85mm, as per ATP turbo, oil in to my turbo is faily high. I mean, it has around 8cm different fittings straight up from, oil in, on turbo. Both to clear the housing, and to get from one size thread to the steel braided hose I use. So in that 8cm pipe, from turbo oil inlet straight up, 90 bend and then my steel braided hose, there will be oil still lubricating the turbo when engine is turned of.. There is about 30 ml oil in the pipe, it cant run back to engine, only way is through turbo... So im trying to calm myself saying there is no damage to turbo, has just replaced the turbo, blew the old one with too much oil pressuere, and is under education, so dont have money. hehe. So basicly I want to be calm'ed.

Hmm.. But could there be any turbo damage??? That is my question, i know my valve have issues... Im experimenting with it... Making different types of pistons inside, different clearances and so on. The only thing im concerned with is turbo damage because of no oil pressure when engine died, in those two situations as described in my first post..
-
Im experimenting with a new dump valve design Ive made, prob. thats why it died on my... But my concern is, any possible damage to my turbo.

Hi there. A week ago I was to a car meeting... Gave it some ass in first, burning rubber, then drove forward, I should park, the engine died, fired it up right away. Died 5 - 10 secs after it was punched, and was started within 2 secs again. Ran 20 psi boost. Could my GT3076r turbo, with same size oil restrictor as from ATP, have taken any damage? Also today, was driving slow, clutched in and engine stalled. released clutch within a second so fired ud again, could any damage have taken place? I hope not... There isnt any smoke, or missounds or anything.

Hi there. Just mounted my brand new GT3076R, after a failure of the old one, too much oil pressure. It is now fitted with a restrictor, 0.85mm dia, as pr ATP turbo's website, they sell one similar size. QUESTION is now it get some smoke when flooring it low down, doesnt look blue.. My AF goes down to around 12 @ 3000 rpms... I know, i need a retune, will do, but could it just be burnt fuel smoke i can see? Will do a retune tomorrow, or in the weekend. Have FC box and Fc commander + LM1

Replacement For Map Sensor
nissan200sx.dk replied to nissan200sx.dk's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
the s13 dont have any map sensor... Its for the std rb25det, so the pressure gauge in my std R33 GTS inistrument cluster will work. -
Hi. Have a rb25det series 1 engine swapped into a s13. Need to get a replacement for the std MAP sensor, want the pressure gauge to work.. Is the only solution to get a std from Nissan??
-
Ohh, I have checked that there was oil comming out of oil return, so its not blocked to cause the high pressure.

Hi there. have today fitted a -4N line to my GT3076R turbo, also fitted a restrictor, 0.85mm hole, I got this size from ATP webpage, they sell a restrictor for a GT30, I made the same hole size.. So it goes like this: Engine block @ oil filter mounted -4n hose, restrictor 0.85 hole, oil pressure gauge, turbo inlet. TUrbo outlet are std RB25det. Have fitted a oil pressue gauge AFTER the restrictor, but before turbo inlet. The oil pressure readings are very high, I THINK. When cold. 5 bar at idle, climbs very fast with no revs almost to 7 bar. When hot, around 2 bar at idle, dont rises so fast, gets up to 6 bar. Should I be concerned?

The log I use, are done over some time to get a good avarage reading.. NO engine braking done when I log. But thanks for your version of the same. hehe. ;-) Yours looks much cooler. -
Hi there. Dont know if anyone has made this before or not, but here is my own version. Its for making faster correction in FC edit. A/F values. Corrected map: this is the corrected map made from the log, and target AF values. Copy and paste this back in FC edit, after you have copy and pasted your log in. Target Air - Fuel: Name says all.. Calculation: How much it will ad or remove. Map - Car: Pressent map in car, the map that was used to make the log. Log: Copy and paste the FC edit log in here.. Hope anyone can use it. Excel doku

Newbie Help To Map Apexi Fc
nissan200sx.dk replied to nissan200sx.dk's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks for reply. Picture was a big help. Thanks! Now I have something to aim for, but how about exhaust gas temp? How high is max, before meltdown. Best Regards Ronni -
Hi there. Got the Fc datalogit, laptop, LM1 hooked up to fc datalogit, and a apexi power FC. Now I need to know how the Af should be.. Could someone rougfly point out what AF ratio I should aim for, layed out on the 20 x 20 inj map. Not each map point, just say the first 5 x 5 should be around XX, then up to 10 x 10 it should be around XX.. Thanks. Best Regards Ronni
