  1. Dsturbd, I'll take you up on your offer. Next weekend perhaps. I'll pm soon. Went to Garage Malaga today to swap bits with cam. Found out that series 2 afm's are very different from series 1 afm's, so not much testing was done. Did clean the afm with contact cleaner though, but that made no difference (thanks anyway, red17).
  2. Maybe if I knew it was the afm for sure. And had an aftermarket ecu. And even then, tree feety is about a hundry too much. Nice plug though.
  3. Hey all. I've been trying to solve an intermittent misfire recently and I think its down to being either the afm or ignitor unit. Before everyone jumps in and says "gap your plugs", I should mention that it only misfires/stutters at light or trailing throttle between 2-3k rpm. Very wierd. Before going to one of the bigger workshops and wasting their time, I thought I'd try to diagnose it myself. So does anyone living south of the river want to lend me a hand for an hour or so? I'd only need to salvage those 2 parts from your engine bay and test drive with them for a few minutes.

  5. As the creator of the big plenum thread, I have to ask what that reason is? I've been running a factory front facing plenum for some time now and have had nothing but positive results.
  6. Even though sim card tracking is the easiest to recircumvent (by driving into an underground car park, an area with no reception or a mobile phone jammer set up), this is one of the best deals I've seen for a tracking system.
  7. No worries Sydneykid. The JMS one for $195 isn't listed as being suited for R33's. I found that K's Online Garage (as (B1) MR_fanny mentioned) has the cheapest at $166 + postage. Gotta find out from Rezz if SAU members get a discount.
  8. Anyone know where we can get a R33 hicas replacement brace for less than the $325 UAS want for one? Sydneykid, could check how much a billet one would cost from your race fabricator?
  9. Bateman PS Winthrop PS Applecross SHS Curtin (BSc(CS))
  10. Do you make these to fit R33's too? I'm interested.
  11. Thanks for the replies fellas. Looks like we're stopping at Melbourne before Sydney, so we'll be watching ROTK there instead. benm, I don't think any one can take your opinion on cinema's seriously if you're happy downloading poor quality movies off the net and watching them on a pc. :looney: And don't get me started on drive ins...
  12. Thanks for the replies. You guys actually have cinema-sense about you, whereas the clowns in the Sydney forum are recommending drive-ins and advocating downloading movies of the net :thumbdwn: Looks like we'll wonder over to Jam Factory or Anderson's Richmond for ROTK. Post if you know which is better (sound and picture wise) or if you don't like either. Probably won't go Gold Class or LaPremier cause we're on a budget .
  13. Hey Niz, could you find out how much the cube is being sold for? I wouldn't mind a R34 GTR coffee table.
  14. Snowman, getting tickets shouldn't be a problem. We'll only be arriving in Victoria on the 3rd of January, so no opening day rush to worry about. predator, the 'line stays in the garage. We'll be travelling by Cherokee and Patrol and it'll pretty hard to get those defected. . funkymonkey, a comparison between Jam Factory and Crown would be interesting. We're staying a night at Crown, so it'd be convenient if its cinema's where up to scratch. I don't mind travelling to find the best cinema though!
  15. Yeah, I am picky . Not all cinemas are created equal, even new ones! Theres a Hoyts close to my house which is fairly new, has a cinema with a huge screen and stadium seating, but it always sounds like its a few dB lower than it should be. Irks me no end, watching a movie and having to listen hard in the quiet bits and not having the bass hit you like it should. Anyway, Jam Factory has 2 nominations now. Everyone else feel its the best around?
  16. Myself and a few friends are driving from Perth to Brisbane come Boxing Day, which means we'll miss out on The Return of the King premier in Perth. We'll be in Melbourne early January, so where would be the best cinema to watch ROTK. Would the THX certified theatre you guys have be a contender? I'd like to hear positive experiences about what you would consider the best cinema. Base them on merits like size of screen, quality of audio (clarity, loudness, supporting SDDS, etc) and decent seating. I'll need to know the name of the complex and the cinema number itself. Thanks!

  18. It is, but I'm holding it for someone who has already offered an acceptable amount.
  19. You're going to have to tell us which bushes you want replacements for. We can't help you much until you do. I suspect its the front radius rod bushes, they tend to wear out and leak after a while. If it is, SuperPro and Whiteline have polyurethane replacement radius rod bushes that also increase castor. Check their web sites for info about local distributers: http://www.superpro.com.au/ http://www.whiteline.com.au/
  20. Better simple black hose than getting blue/red/fluro yellow hose and having the engine bay looking like a riceboy explosion .
  21. Adam 33, can't really see what's going on in the picture (no point of reference), but if it is the swaybar, upgrade to a pair of Whiteline ones. Much recommended. Wilkinsons should be able to supply and fit.
  22. I agree with rob77 and ReVN211, take them for a drive the first visit and only let them drive the second visit. I'd also ask they only bring one friend at most and 2 forms of ID. The ID you collect and leave in your home when you take them for a drive. Leaving the keys to their car seems to be popular with most buyers but it does nothing for me.
  23. Normal Philips? Yes, definitely. Philips VisionPlus? Don't know enough to say.
  24. b005t, the v4+ has been around for a while and is what the RB25 plugin wolf is based on. Which why the wolf plugin has 6 ignition outputs and the rest of the fruit.
