Emsta, I guess it would depend on driver. You borrow the Ferrari I'll get my mates to block off a road and we will see. LOL. Mate I don't know specs of ferrari but mine potential for around 3.5-3.9 0-100 and Mid 11 1/4 mile as we know depends on tyres/launch/driver and how much you want to thrash car.

Car making full booost by about 4400 RPM (20psi) Power great curve. Don't have scanner so here we go. Thes are approx figures. 100rwkw 3000rpm 150rwkw 3600rpm 200 rwkw 4200 rpm 250rwkw 4500rpm 275rwkw 5000 rpm 285rwkw 5500rpm 290rwkw 6000rpm 295rwkw 6500rpm 301rwkw 7000rpm 295rwkw 7500rpm 280rwkw 8000rpm Car now much more response better feel and am confident that no problems driving it around. Well, got my car couple of weeks ago after more than 12 Months of Stuff arounds only to find alarm removed and oil leak. Also noisy bearing problem in clutch. Have since had alarm installed and oil leak fixed at my cost as no response at all from seller can't name them but this was last car for them and shows. Putting car on dyno this week to check tune is ok. Will get bearing problem fixed in few weeks but am NOT happy having to spend 2500 on car after collecting it to make it 100% especially after putting so much time and money into it throughout the last year. Once all fixed will bring it along to club meets.
  4. Mark, look in Vic subforums in the sticky area there is a list of Mechanics/tuners. Race Pace and Racingline and few others have very good reputations. Hope this helps.
  5. Finally after more than 12 months of problems and stuff arounds my GTR is registered. Will be collecting same on Wednesday and will bring it on Saturday to the Drag day. Not going to run it just cruise along as engine brand new. Will post pics once I collect it. A very happy day for me.
  6. We have had no specific instructions on where/when to use the new laws. I don't know if was an oversight not specifying where offences take place such as Highway or that it has been made that way on purpose. IMO the new laws are more of a scare tactic that won't be used all that often but gained lots of media attention and discussions on forums like ours. It's good for repeat offenders drivers driving whilst diqualified for example. Also if your stupid enough to get caught 45km/h over the limit you deserve to lose your car for some period of time. It's not deigned to seize cars off people taking off at lights quickly to speed limit or people that accidently lose traction on wet roads. As long as it stops/deterrs even a small percentage of people "hooning" on our roads then the laws are a sucess if you ask me.
  7. From my training last week in these new laws I believe that you can in fact commit offences under the Hoon laws on private property. Very strange and interesting if you ask me.
  8. My point was mainly if you are going to put SAU stickers on your car you reflect the club so stupid diving makes all look bad. If I had a poor attitude towards import drivers like fritter does towards police then maybe according to him it would be fair as me being a PIG to rock up at a SAU day an EPA every members car that it modded as that's how he thinks the relationship between police and import driver's should be. Luckily I am nothing like him.
  9. People a lot of my hard work with bridging gaps between us and my work colleagues (police) was undone last night by a Stupid R34GTT driver racing along next to his mate's car 30km/h over limit on wet roads. Not only did he speed he lost traction taking off at lights right in front of us and had more than one intake mod. I am majorly PISSED OFF with him because he is member of SAU and had stickers on his car advertising same. Made our whole car club look bad especially when I promote how sensible/mature members of SAU Victoria only to have this fool wreck all of that...WELL DONE As you know I obviously don't pick on skyline driver's especially members of SAU Vic but what should happen to this FOOL.
  10. I love how quick some people bag police for not knowing the LAW as a general duty officer we need to have knowledge in many area's and to know them all would be impossible just like if you go to a solicitor they don't know everything about all types of LAW do they? Why else do they have different ones for family law, commercial law and criminal law just to name a few. LIke stated earlier CAUSE excessive noise or smoke this would occur if your exhaust was too loud as you have caused it by changing your exhaust not saying that this would ever happen but like most on here have modded cars as such making them ILLEGAL under EPA. I do know about Law on how to use EPA so I guess I will just stick to that.
  11. Could possibly be targeting loud exhaust cars because they can be confiscated under the new hoon laws just for being too loud. Not involved in any traffic offences just driving to work or home slowly. I personally thought WTF when i read this but it is very hard to confiscate a car under these laws anyway reading though our (police) instructions on it. TMU wouldn't really take many cars as you need to Brief offenders and take them to court no penalty notices so too much work in general for them unless on a specified blitz or the driver makes an arse out of himself. Just thought you guys might be interested to know.
  12. Bec/James, Can you put me down for a Medium. Thanks
  13. TracidTrax: My misses drive's a TT supra on P's and has never been pulled over for it. Maybe cause she's female, possibly doesn't attract attention the way she drives it possibly because she doesn't have large FMIC like yours. I am all about bridging the gap between import owners and police but some like yourself don't seem like you want the gap bridged..then you will get what is most likely coming your way fines/EPA etc as you have FMIC and I assume more.
  14. I don't know anyone at my office that even knows what it is and when it starts and this would be the same for most general duties members pretty much only TMU members will use these powers. Most of the time the courts go on the side of defendant's and will be very interesting to know what is needed to proove a succesful case of hooning in court as I can see everone contesting it that gets their car taken. It will become Tuesday "hoon" day at court or something like that with case after case after case..I wouldn;t give my car up for months without a fight what about you guys?
  15. I think it will make people think twice before driving like an idiot, illegal drags etc. Once they get their car taken once or their mates car it will stop a lot of people being involved in that type of behiour because the laws now are not deterring this type of behaviour. Most people aren't scared of fines but everyone who loves their car and puts all their money into it doesn't want to loose it for any period of time. Also IMO modified car's should only be EPA'd if commiting other offences as this is a punishment and people that modify their cars and don't break any road laws should not be punished for doing up their car. If car is unsafe different story and if people driving like idiots then they deserve what the get, EPA/NOU/Fine and cars impounded.
  16. I work as police in that general area. I was the police van that turned up and spoke with the organisers, admired some nice cars got a couple to show off their stereo's and basically showed the police flag in a fair non-biased way and didn't hassle anyone and didn't plan to. I know most TMU in that area and most not biased to import driver's because in that area they aren't the problem. I try very hard at work everyday to show/state how most import driver's mature and drive sensibly just love thier cars, that's why when I come across groups like this it helps to proove that. But don't be angry at me because when an import driver is stupid in front of me I show no leaniancy because they portray us in a bad light which is the last thing we want.
  17. Anyone been along to their cruises? Saw them in Chadstone Saturday night whilst I was working. I Was good liason between police and car driver's always preaching how good SAU is though. They seemed good/level headed group of people similiar to SAU with wide band cars, saw everything from WRX,SKYLINES to VL Turbo's and everything in between. I think our cruises and clubs like these good for our whole community in showing not all car lovers "hoons" and frowning on that sort of behaviour and everyday I also try yo bring Police/public and our community closer together. Just thought I would mention this and say keep up the good work. Also TMU members present not looking to hassle people just ensure everyone behaves appropriately. Shows if we can give SAU members good name will help us be known for the right reasons. On sour note earlier this week saw accident with Skyline driving stupidly loosing control entering service road, hit gutter and collide with parked car, luckily no-one was hurt, not trying to be harsh but his sort of behaviour put all of us in bad light so take care everyone and lets keep working towards promoting skyline owners in positive light.
  18. Am I nice because I just put the EPA form in on cars and don't bother putting the car off the road. You are right that most cops don't know much about import cars, just loud exhausts and BOV to EPA etc. I only EPA them though if they have poor attitude or driving like a wanker making import drivers look bad.
  19. Try VP or ELF fuels. Both have internet addresses. Most places are unlikely to do 20L but I got quoted $90 for 60L delivered a while ago.
  20. Having both supra and skyline I go on here and Supra forums. I am very impressed how unbiased skyline driver's are not knocking supra owners but if you posted R33GTR vs RZ Supra on their forums from what I have read it would be like 75% supra. Also I don't understand why most supra owners want 400+rwkw as RWD would have major troubles with traction. Even most modified GTR's on here are generally 300-350KW for track and only 400+ if set up for drags.
  21. I have a TT RZ (AUTO) which is my misses car and in week or two hopefully will get my R33 GTR heavily modded 320KW. My supra has been lowered and has suspension upgrades along with 17*9 mags so handles fantastic also has traction control. Supra dynod at 220RWKW with Zhorst, pod and chip at 12psi. Traction much better than people think or maybe just mine with the upgrades as I can put my foot down flat out and have ever only lost traction very slightly which the traction control corrected straight away. In wet have gone hard to almost 5000 rpm and same thing but mine not standard so hard to say. Supra fantastic torque and almost bullet proof engine. Either way I am happy but IMO Supra more comparison with GTR.
  22. Traffic Management Unit or TMU are traffic specific cars which are the V8 SS marked/unmarked and the same with Ford XR8 and XR6T. They also know their traffic offences inside/out and will know exactly what you can and can't have done to your car.
  23. When are you going to understand that these unmarked SS TMU cars are just that. Their whole responsability is to pull over cars and fine/EPA/NOU cars. There is general duties for response and crime prevention patrols. CIU to investigate serious offences. I guess the day that they go out and there is no drink/drivers, no speeders, no collisions and all cars are EPA/Roadworthy then we won't need TMU units. I guess that day will happen when there is no Burglars, thieves in society either. And as stated earlier "Uphold the Right" is the Victorian Police Motto.
  24. You are actually now allowed to have an open pod filter or FMIC along with exhaust. Best bet though is to cover pod though to get cooler air and to be legal if you get FMIC.
  25. Are spectators welcome? Not interested in competing but hopefully will have the GTR by then to show it off for the first time.
